As others have said: Do not order online. Thom Browne claims to offer "complimentary returns" but refuses to follow its own policy. They promise to refund your money within 1-2 days of receipt of the package. This did not happen in my case. It took them 15 days and three emails, and they still would not issue the refund. I had to do a chargeback through my credit card company. This was after I provided UPS proof of delivery showing that the package had been received at TB's return facility. They claimed to have "technical difficulties" and promised to investigate, but they held the refund hostage during this process. In other words, they punished me for their own ineptitude. Many similar complaints on Google Reviews and the Better Business Bureau show that this was not a one-time occurrence. Thom Browne has a history of dragging their feet when it comes to issuing refunds. It's a deceptive business practice to advertise a policy and then refuse to follow it. I have never experienced such poor customer service from a luxury brand; most of them go out of their way to accommodate customers because they want repeat business. But I'll never buy from Thom Browne again. I will be donating my only other Thom Browne shirt to the thrift store. read more

Thom Browne store is hands down the BEST store in the city! Everything about it makes you feel so special and valued from the moment you walk in. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful--truly a cut above the rest. And the clothes? Absolute works of art. Every piece is meticulously crafted and feels like it belongs in a museum. The quality and design are unmatched. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Staff is always friendly and helpful, there's a men's side when you walk in and the women's side around the conner with a big variety from casual to formal. Store is a bit off the beaten path but worth a visit when in TriBeCa. it's always a joy to come and shop they offer pick up as well. store is big and made to measure is always fun to come to. Will recommend getting yourselves a Hector bag my personal favourite. read more

There's something almost cinematic about the themes that run through Thom Browne's collection. His clothes are of a specific time and place and capture a clear period of a man's life somewhere between his experimental, rebellious early 20's and his shift towards the refined and understated in his mid-thirties. Tight-fit blazers, exaggeratedly shortened, stove-pipe trousers, starched shirts and polished shoes. It's a particular aesthetic for a particular man. There is no room for you in Thom Browne's vision if you're 5'6" and have a 36" waist, no sir. It's preppy, it's quality, it's dandy and it's ultra-tailored. Check out the store, complete with stark, 1930's office decor and slip on a jacket. You'll know straight away that it's a Thom Browne - that can be as much a positive as a negative. read more

Very poor customer service experience! I bought a pair of Thom Browne eyeglasses about a year ago. When one of the metal nosepieces snapped off, I brought it back to the store and asked them to repair them or send them back for repair under warranty. They refused and told me I would need to send it back to the manufacturer directly. They informed me that even though the eyeglasses had the Thom Browne name on them, they were manufactured by a different company and therefore they would not provide any customer service for them. In my view, if you sell a product with your brand name on it, you should service that product - especially at your flagship retail outlet. At the very least, they should have offered to ship them back to the manufacturer for me. This is a premium product and I would expect premium customer service for the prices paid. If they cannot provide after-sales service for a product, they shouldn't be selling it in the first place. To make matters worse, the store manager (Matthew Benzin) was cold, and indifferent and dismissive. If you want to pay high prices for eyeglasses that break prematurely and have no after-sales service, come to the Thom Browne store. read more

This Thom Browne space is superbly designed, putting Browne's trademark austerity on prominent display. Items are laid out on a handful of racks and in a manner that allows easy browsing. The garments are fantastic, needless to say. Staff are friendly, engaging, and will give honest advice if you need any. read more

This is a designer company? They are not even close to a designer company. Thom Browne is so good they sent me the same right shoe. To Top it off, hear this. They gave me two different sizes to the same right shoe. One right shoe was 10 and the other 11. The worst so called DESIGNER COMPANY. Cant even check the shoes you sell. I love how they have someone to wrap the damn box but have no one to look inside. My engagement party had some designer WALMARTS on. Useless company read more

Please call ahead and make an appointment with Hanns or the other guy...think his name started with an S. The store really isn't geared to "browsing" or "impluse shopping" as it is not really in the location to get foot traffic as though it were on Bleeker St. or in the Meatpacking. The store is great, while Hourly D. sees it as a '30s office, I think of it as more of a '50s sparse government office...which is also the sentiment of the overall feel of Thom's clohing...a play on the '50s work uniform/the grey suit. The Tribeca store really only offers the "basics" as in grey suits, white Sea Island Cotton shirts, LUXURIOUS cashmere that trumps Loro Piana or Brunello Cucinelli, overcoats, ties, shoes. The runway pieces (denim suits with lace bustles, swiss dot sheer shirts, crinoline blazers, etc) are found at Barneys and Bergdrof. A note for those looking for shirts...they really only stock the white Sea Island Cotton oxfords here; but, have many, many swatches that you can order from and have them in 4-6 weeks. Caveat Emptor: Suits run $2,800-$5,500, cashmere $1300-$3,000, ties $160, shoes $1200, Sea Island Cotton shirts $420+, broadcloth oxfords $275. read more

I was super excited to shop at the store. The sales person was very standoffish and kept his arms crossed the entire time I tried to ask questions. I was in the market to buy a couple pair of shoes and be fitted for a suit. After the sales person was unkind and dismissive, I feel very differently about the store and the brand. read more

I love this store. I usually buy leather goods, and I try to get things on sale. However, the sales staff here are outstanding. The pieces are expensive, but the staff is always welcoming and helpful. No pretense here, and Mr. Browne's clothes are impeccable. Staff is amazing and that's why I go back. There are other stores with attitude (and their clothes don't even measure up) and they won't get my business. read more

If you love Thom's clothing as I do, you will love his TriBeCa showroom. Unlike the BS you have to put up with at Barney's, the Staff is extremely helpful and polite without being rude. I have had purchases sent to my home and received follow up calls to confirm my receipt and satisfaction. There is no pressure and it can be a fun place to shop. It's certainly true that the service can feel standoffish, but I honestly think that the products are so good that you don't need overdone and overbearing service to make up for any deficiencies. The selection in the store adheres more closely to Thom Browne's core aesthetic, which I admire very much and looks good even on my 6' frame and 31" waist. The suits are beautifully finished and are way more comfortable than you would expect. Winter cashmere is thick and luxurious and holds it shape despite the tight fit. Staff is friendly, helpful and happy to dig up stuff from the storage room in the back. I've been a fan since 2004 and drop by the store on every trip to the city. read more
