Havent been here in a few years but came recently and got excellent service. I needed to replace the plastic band on a relatively inexpensive sports watch. Right away he said he is not sure it will be worth it to me to do this verses purchasing a new one. I never write reviews, but I thought this place was unprofessional enough to deserve one. My grandma gave me her old watch, but unfortunately it had some water damage and needed to be repaired. I did a Yelp search and found this place and I had such high hopes because of all of the awesome reviews! I took it in and he confirmed that there was water damage and needed repairs. He gave me a disclaimer and said that it was going to take 4 weeks because they were pretty backed up. I debated taking it somewhere else because that is a really long time for a simple watch repair! But I stuck with it because of the 5 star reviews. So I left it there to be worked on. After 3 weeks I hadn't heard any updates so I called them. They said they hadn't started it and that it would likely take another 2 weeks because they had to attend a training. I thought, what is 1 more week? After 5 weeks I had forgotten about the watch because it had been there so long and I called again during the 6th week. Still no updates and they still hadn't started it. So the following week I went to pick it up, unfixed, because why would I just have my watch sit there and not be worked on? When I went to pick it up, I told the guy working there that I was really disappointed by them because they never updated me, they never started on it, and I really expected more from an establishment that had a full 5 stars on Yelp. His response was "Sorry you feel that way". Never again would I go to this place! Such terrible service and if you aren't going to meet your deadline, you better call the customer! read more

I have a pretty complicated Breitling digital watch and misplaced the instruction booklet...needless to say it's not an easy watch to operate. I was referred to Thomas Watch Repair by my local jeweler. They were raving about his excellent service. So, I called Thomas for a quote on removing a dust particle on the underside of my watch sapphire crystal. I have to say, getting an honest quote over the phone nowadays is rare. A lot of shops want you to bring in the watch, so they can 'examine' it before they can give you a quote. I don't have the time to drive around the bay area just so they can up sell me on the service. If you are in the watch repair business, then you should have a good estimate on the repair cost. Thomas, on the other hand, gave me a ball park quote over the phone. It was a reasonable quote, so I drove over to his shop. He examined my watch and explained to me how a dust particle might get into the crystal. Basically, keep your crown screwed in. He promptly breakdown the watch and removed the movement to get to the crystal. He used compressed air to blow away that annoying white dust particle and reassembled the watch. I was in and out of the shop in less than 20 minutes. Thomas has become my go-to guy for any watch maintenance or repairs. read more

I took two watches to Thomas watch repair today,, one was 60 year old Omega that had sentimental value,, it is also the kind you have to wind. The watch had quit running years ago , in fact not long after I had it repaired, so had given up on it . The other a Bulova made for Danbury Mi5 staras a sport watch that one jeweler had told me it unrepairable,, Well Thomas got both working in less than 30 minutes , The omega just needed a tuneup and a warning on over winding plus it going to run 10 seconds a day fast ,, I can live with that,, The other watch just needed some cleaning in the battery area,, The repair cost was so minimal I was shocked,, Will be our go to if we have watch problems again ..Big time Rave. for read more
