When we got there he said acid test or not, I'll charge you 80$ regardless. That's quite unprofessional and dishonest, unclear at best. 3) The jewelry we took to him is old jewelry from India (pre 1940s) and high quality. He made us think that it is of lower purity without using any technology, just by eye balling it and with the acid test which also seemed pretty primitive to me. (He scratched the jewelry on a stone that had a hundred scratch marks from before and put a drop of some acid and then give us a number which would usually be 18ct, rarely 22 ct). Mind you this jewelry we have since assessed in multiple other places who use expensive machinery to check the purity and have come up with much higher quality. Generally if you're looking to sell your jewelry, take it somewhere else and you'll get a much better deal. This guy will make it sound like what you have is worth much less than it actually is.
