They redid the moisture barrier and left it in a unworkmanlike manner. They refused to come back and fix it. Why? They cancelled a job for which I paid a down payment without letting me know. Why? I was told we don't work on things we didn't install. Poppycock. Why give the estimate in the first place? And they HAVE worked on the bulkhead before, which they did NOT install! I called to ask why my work was cancelled and why they never came back to finish the job. I asked proactively if they were cancelling my sub pump maintenance appointment for next year, which they did, and never told me. They said they will no longer do business with me and nothing more. After I paid them %1,000s, being a customer since 2019. They installed 2 dehumidifiers, sub pump, back up battery, bulkhead moisture barrier and basement wall moisture barrier. John from the Hooksett office gave me a quote for work, see my earlier review, which they later took back. Huh? What the heck is going on with this company? They just keep repeating we don't do business with you anymore. If this is how they treat loyal customers, I wouldn't use them. Would you?

He did the job and alerted me to the fact that there was something that should be repaired and also mentioned that the original sump pump which was something like 15 years old was in need of replacement at some point sooner than later. I don't like surprises so I asked Mike to get everything in order, including the new sump pump. He did what was needed. There was never any pressure to buy anything. He took the time to do the job well and I am appreciative of that.

We then hired him to install a brick patio at our home in Beverly as well. He arrived on time with his two sons. The boys were as professional as their dad. We have a few other projects we will have him come back to do. This is a gentleman of his word, which is a rare thing these days with most contractors. We highly recommend Ben for any of your masonry work.

Inside the fireplace, grout had all but disappeared on the back / angled wall and several fire bricks were loose. Timeline of events: Sent an email to Ben with pictures and a description of the problem on a Friday at 3:12 PM. He called me at 5:15 PM that evening asking if he could visit to see the job and offer me an estimate, he came by at 5:44 PM, and after reviewing and carefully describing the work needed to repair, he offered his proposal which I accepted. AND the VERY NEXT DAY, a SATURDAY mind you, he and his son arrived at 8:00 AM and the job was completed by 3:00 PM. So literally WITHIN 24 HOURS Ben The Mason had responded to my request, came by to see the job, offered a quote, and did the repairs. The entire experience exceeded my expectations, and I am very impressed with the service and craftsmanship provided by Ben The Mason. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This would take far too…read morelong, so I'll number it and try to be concise: 1) Sales Rep told us "no demo required" and drafted a plan for somewhere between 9-11 galvanized steel piers to be driven into "bedrock" (later explained to not be the case). 2) $10K deposit already processed when the crew showed up. a) "This diagram is inaccurate." "We need to go under the deck and rip up the first 8-10 planks". b) Wrong - we can't go under the deck. "We need to chisel out the floor at the rear of the garage to install 4 piers there". 3) This 3-4 day job, tomorrow am, 22 Jun, will be day 13. 4) They had an excavator, all the dirt, boulders, and other loose stones parked on the side of the lawn for 12 days before removal. 5) AFTER finally removing the excavator - 21 June - the crew told me I was supposed to remit payment. a) They haven't addressed the large crack in the corner of the garage, and b) I financed 60% of the job through their 3rd party finance company GreenSky. There is no money owed them, once they finish - it's now on a payment plan through GreenSky. PS - Their office has NO IDEA how this works. Called 3 times to ensure billing would be applied to the account we were approved for. NO CLUE AT ALL. 6) They also had to dig to the foundation on the R side of the garage (known). They dug it up to spill over the retaining wall into the neighbor's driveway. The neighbors couldn't use half their driveway for the same two weeks due to dirt and stones falling into their driveway. Read GROK, & their BBB ratings (Boston / Plainville MA specifically). There is always, always, always an excuse. Nothing but "yes man" responses from the project manager. I NEVER WANT ANY COMPANY TO LOSE WORK, because there are too many people who lose business because ppl want their asses kissed. Not the case in this instance. I'm writing this as they still haven't finished the work. LOOK at the pics, consider how the job was written, conveyed, we were told no demo, and this was the garage and driveway for 2 weeks. After seeing the images of the dump truck in our neighbor's yard, the home office sent a kid to Home Depot to get some hydraulic cement. He slapped some in with a putty knife and said "all done". THAT'S how they completed the job. Remember, this company told us 3-4 days. The ONLY reason I agreed to ripping up the garage floor was I would have it back in a few days. The office approved us in MARCH for financing, and their office is telling them to grab a check. The left hand never knows what the right hand is doing. I hope they read this, and refute it - I'll be happy to elaborate further, this is enough for now. Again, use your preferred AI for reviews, prompt it for follow-ups, delays, service, complaints, and the longer list of complaints for return calls.

Overcharged for the work completed (tens of thousands of $). Top Tier walked off the job without finishing and threatened physical violence toward another contractor on-site. Advertising is false and misleading, photographs are borrowed from other companies and reviews appear to be fake. So many more issues but I would not give this company any positive recommendations. Apparently they operate under various business names so please be careful vetting any company you hire.
