I am the owner of a small condominium that needed several windows replaced. I contacted Thompson Creek back on September 15 2021 and signed the contract to have them install windows for 2 bedrooms and a living room. Initially the project was scheduled for Dec 27th because i have a custom size storm door. I received a Voicemail on 12/17 stating that the items were not available and that the project would be pushed back to February. Upset i called and spoke with someone who had the team first install the windows and then come back to install the door. When the technicians arrived (845am) i had received no call or email with an estimated time of arrival (unprofessional). They installed the windows in the living room but 1 screen had a tear. The windows installed in the bedroom contained 2 dents (poor quality) and they did not bring the correct windows for the 2nd bedroom (incompetence). The technicians said they would bring the window along with the storm door in February. I was told that a follow call would be initiated but i have yet to hear from Thompson Creek. At this point i am highly unsatisfied with the service provided and would not recommend/refer this company. They promise quality/assurance but provide subpar service/materials. read more

I wish I could give them a -6 stars. These people are horrible. As a baseline, in my previous home I replaced 30 windows over several years. It was a 90 year old house, and every window that was replaced was within a quarter inch of fitting. First off, the company had a super high pressure salesman. He measured the windows. Then another person came out to measure the windows. His numbers were way way different from the first person. In fact, he would measure at one time, measure a second time, and say... Hum...That's different. Apparently a tape measure was a very new instrument. So when they came to install these so-called custom fit windows, some of them were 3 inches too small. Now I expect a quarter inch difference in measuring. But not 3 inches. The crew however, do fully install them adding lots of vinyl and insulation. I called them early on in the process and said this is not going well can I speak to somebody. Blah blah blah somebody will call you back. Two hours later I called again... I'm having a problem can I speak to somebody? Blah blah blah somebody will call you back. Finally, after the crew spent seven hours on a supposedly four hour job, I got an email from somebody filling in for my project manager that said send me some photos. When the crew finished, I refused to sign, and made notes on the paperwork about how unhappy I was. I followed up with an email to the person that emailed me saying I'm really unhappy about this. I then followed up with an email three days later saying hello... Can you please respond to my email? I called again a few days later, and they said the person that emailed me wasn't my project manager and I needed to talk to somebody else. He would call me back shortly. Hours later I got a callback from him. He said he had no indication there were any problems with the install. I wanted to ask him what he was smoking, but I was trying to be polite. He told me he would schedule somebody to come look at that really crappy job they did. That was on a Friday. The following Monday was radio silence. I contacted him at the other day he said oh yeah... We can come up and look at the work in a week... The next Monday. So we shall see if they do anything to fix the really crummy job they did. Oh by the way? Did I happen to mention that the only way to shut and lock the windows is the push up on the top window? There's one window that's 8 feet high, do you have to get up on a step ladder to push up the top window. When I mention to the installers that was unacceptable, he looked at me and shrugged. They said maybe you should keep a step ladder handy if you want to shut and lock the window. The reason I had these previous windows replaced was because they were problem shutting. Now I paid almost $10,000 for windows that are actually worse. And I hate the fact that nobody at Thompson Creek seems return my phone calls or respond to an email. I am so so sorry that I signed a contract with this company. These people are the worst. And they don't even seem to care that they have really super bad customer service. If you want windows replace. Steer clear of this company. Your old windows are guaranteed to be better than anything they will bring out to you. read more

Ordered a sliding glass door in April that was supposed to be installed on 12 June. Waited ALL day but no one showed up. It took me several days to reach someone. I was informed they had had an "internal virus" and could not contact me as their system was down. Once I reached them they rescheduled the installation for tomorrow 21 June AND charged my CC for the bulk of the balance. Today I received a call to cancel my installation because "there is a delay on the door." I'm now rescheduled for 15 July. When I inquired about just canceling my order I was informed I would have to pay a 20% restocking fee per my contract. My only recourse is arbitration which I would have to pay the filing fees. LONG POST ALERT: This post is to WARN YOU about the business practices of THOMPSON CREEK WINDOWS, Bath and Shower Installations. Do NOT be deceived by the positive reviews on their website or by their consultations. I believe that they are only allowing positive reviews to be posted as I certainly have not seen mine! Because my interaction with them is turning into a nightmare! So... here is my story. In early December, I decided to get a walk-in shower installed, got a consultation, and contracted with Thompson Creek to do the work. I was initially promised installation in early February, but days before got a call moving my installation date to March 17th. Things happen... supply chain issues... etc. so I was not too upset and was willing to work with the new timeline even though they had a very hefty deposit since early December. The shower was finally installed on March 17th. I was told by the installer that the shower could be used within 24 hours, but my husband and I decided to wait until the bath could be repainted the next week so the shower had NEVER been used. Within three days the seat started to SEPARATE from the wall. I made several calls to Thompson Creek and finally got a 'repair appointment' for March 30th. When the Thompson Creek representative showed up, he was here to 'look at it'. He agreed that the work was unacceptable and said it was 'not up to their usual standards.' I was told that I would get a call back within 24 hours to give me an UPDATE on how and when the problem would be fixed. Today is April 6th. I am posting the pictures of the shower and the separating seat. There is also a smell that is obviously coming from the chemicals that did not properly set or adhere. This work is NOT inexpensive. I expected better. I am not able to use my master bath because this work has not been completed. But, they now have their ENTIRE PAYMENT as the finance company has released the check. I hope this issue is resolved soon or I will be filing a complaint with the proper authorities. I do understand that with any construction project that there can be errors that need to be addressed, but my problem with Thompson Creek is their inability to follow through in a timely manner and the failure to communicate properly. Perhaps they are taking on more work than they can actually handle and do it well. Just Be Aware. ZERO STARS FROM ME. We contact TCW for 18 windows and a sliding door. We were quoted and sold CUSTOM FIT TO OUR HOME WINDOWS. The sales man did his job well and swept us off our feet in late February . The "professional" who came out to do the final measurement for the windows measured them all. He stunk to high he|| of cigarettes and had a nasty and unprofessional attitude. That should have been my first warning. They came out to install the windows in April. The crew that showed up IMMEDIATELY started ripping windows out without double checking measurements. (I have included several pictures of the "custom fit" install). The crew that came out was forcibly removed from my property after several window stools were pried OFF OF MY HOUSE and brought up to meet the window rather than the windows fitting my home. After several arguments with the contractors and telling them to stop and leave my home they finally stopped. During the install process, almost every piece of siding adjoining the windows had been cracked, cut or damaged. The project manager Mr. Mac came out and remeasured all the windows. EVERY WINDOW WAS MEASURED WRONG and had to be remade. This was further compounded by the fact that the first install crew PUT SCREWS THROUGH THE BOTTOM WEATHER SEAT OF THE WINDOW! A crew came back the next day to slap bandaids and quick fixes to "hold us over" until they could get back to replace them properly. It took them another month and a half just to get another crew out to replace the sliding door that sat in my shed the entire time. On June 24th, TWO MONTHS AFTER THE BOTCHED INITIAL INSTALL DATE, they FINALLY came back out to fix the siding and replace the windows.... Or so I was told. The crew showed up without the siding and informed me that they made the office aware that they would not be capable of doing the job because it was beyond their area of expertise. I called the office and for almost a week it was phone tag just trying to get a date set for the siding repair. Shannon, the customer project coordinator told me she would call me within a week and a half. I finally got tired of waiting and called her today. Zero progress had been made scheduling the appointment to come out to finish the repairs. It is now the end of July, they JUST got our date for the siding to be fixed that they've known about since April got August 13th. FOUR MONTHS. FOUR MONTHS we've had cracked and broken siding on our home. The home my husband has been on multiple deployments to save for. The home his paychecks and my veteran disability payments pay for. How does a company who "prides" themself in serving the military community treat a disabled combat veteran and an active duty service member like this. We were offered $1000 off our $23,000 contract for our "bad customer experience". Apparently "company policy" states no matter the job, that's the most they can offer. Mind you, the day the initial install had happened, my son had food poisoning and rather than taking care of him better and pushing fluids, I was throwing contractors off my property and getting zero help from customer service even after multiple calls. As a result, my son ended up in the hospital from dehydration and had to get TWO BAGS of fluids. My son is 3. If they had stuck to their "company policy" I wouldn't be needing to leave such a derogatory review and my son wouldn't now be terrified of needles and doctors. And yes, that's daylight UNDER THE WINDOW where they pulled the stool of the window OFF OF MY HOUSE to bring it up to meet the window after the "install was complete" and I was told that they were "finished with those windows". read more

I needed six windows for front of house. I had used Thompson Creek for 5 windows for the back of my house about 4 years ago. I was really happy with the windows and service. That is why I decided to go with them again. This time I was again happy with product and service. The problem I had was that in my master bedroom damage was done to my door frame which requires wood putty and paint. I contacted two different people - one never replied; the other said they would get back to me after checking it out. Never heard back from him again. Sent an email to corporate in Lanham, MD. Heard back in two week not really because of my email but I owed money still. He said he would look into it and later told me I was denied my claim. I asked him why I didn't the courtesy of a reply from the other two representations just to look me know. Not good PR to not even reply me. PLEASE DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY AND THEIR EMPLOYEES. DON'T PAY THEM UPFRONT UNTIL YOU ARE 100% SATISFIED WITH THE WORK. I ordered my front French door through Thompson Creek. I have had multiple issues since I placed the order IN JUNE 2023 with them. Initially, who took my order and whatever we finalized I was told later he quit and never submitted the right order. Because of that, I had to pay $500 extra even tho I had his text confirmation and all the details. Finally couple of months after in September 2023, I got my new door delivered but very poor quality, with the wrong interior color, and the wrong door handles. I called and told them this wasn't what I ordered but they were consistent so I had to send them the picture as proof we took when initially we finalized the door with the sales rep who came to our home to prove myself. After so many calls I was told they have to order a new door which will take a couple of months again. I waited till November to get the better quality product (DOOR). Since November I have made so many calls to them that my lock is not working properly and your tech team messed up my main doorbell. When they removed my previous door and installed the new one they damaged the doorbell wire or something. I was promised it would get fixed once they come back. It never GOT Fixed. Anyway back to the door multiple issues, multiple emails and phone call to them and the person who was handling my case Z (Zalika). Every time i asked something it took her/them a month or more to come out to fix any small or bigger issues i was facing. The main concern i have been bringing up to them every time to date this door keeps losing up from its original place. Once i was told by their technician that the previous TECHNICIAN installed the wrong screws/studs (smaller) and this door is a heavy door he shouldn't use these screws/studs. That is the reason the door is keep moving from its original spot. I have been struggling with my digital lock because of these people one of my locks got ruined and back in January i had to buy a new digital lock to install which i asked them to install but they refused to install it by saying this is not one of our product that's why we can not install. I have text messages from the salesperson who took my order stating i can use my existing digital lockbox. Since last year September, i have been struggling to get the door and lock fixed but since January i was told by their team everything is good to go and got fixed. I have been requesting and complaining about the same issues and they did send it 3 times after the wait of a month or 40 days every call i made to try to get things fixed or to get the adjustments done. Whenever they made adjustments it's only good for a week or 10 days MAX. Most of the time i had to call them repeatedly and felt like i was being ignored by the team. I was not getting any answers from them for any of my emails or phone calls. Finally, after 9 months of struggle and paying a hefty amount for that door i was told by Kelsey Wright this is it. We cant keep sending our technicians to fix the door and they are not responsible for anything related to this matter anymore. I have asked them to bring me their Digital LOCK i will pay for it but since last week April 25th 2024 they (Zalika Goulbourne, Bethany Jones and Kelsey Wright) completely ignored my email. As if i don't exist anymore. PLEASE DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY AND THEIR EMPLOYEES. DON'T PAY THEM UNTIL YOU ARE 100% SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THEY HAVE DONE. I thought this window had grown fungus after it was installed and said so in a previous review. I couldn't have been more wrong. I called on a Friday and was asked to call back the following week. The following week an appointment was set up for 72 hours later. They showed up when they said they would and they were done in 20 minutes. It wasn't fungus, it was an expanding sort of foam that stuck out beyond the window frame. The company representative did more than he had to do to make it right and I'm quite pleased with his service. Do not recommend. They are deceptive. Prior to purchasing 10 new windows from my home, I specifically to the sales rep (Stephen Bryan) that I was only interested in purchasing windows if they qualified for the energy efficient tax credit. Mr. Bryan assured me that all of the windows would be eligible and that I would receive the documentation necessary to obtain the credit at the end the year. Not only have some of the parts of the windows already broken but I just received a call informing me that the windows are, in fact, not eligible for the tax credit. I am requesting that they stop making this claim in their marketing materials and I will be working with a lawyer to file suit in small claims court for an amount equal to the credit read more

Thompson Creek was one of a few companies that quoted new windows for our home. While they were the highest price, the lifetime warranty, self-employed installation crew, and quality of window construction led us to go with them. We had five windows installed. They put down drop cloths, were professional and courteous, and left no evidence they were there except for an excellent window install. They will be doing the rest of our windows over the next few years. read more

It's been awhile since my last update. Thompson Creek did come out , 3 times now. Each time the assured me the window will not leak. Each storm we have and it rains, my window leaks. I am beyond frustrated. I went from a 'less energy efficient' window to one that is very energy efficient, but still lets water in my house. I'm so fed up with this company I'm taking to yelp so...I don't even know where to begin. The sales guy sold us on the fact that we'd have our windows and storm door installed in about six weeks because they have their own materials blah blah. LIES! They pushed us out and pushed us out, wouldn't get back to us with a scheduled time, gave us a different "project coordinator" every time we called who seemed to have none of our information on file (a project coordinator is someone they appoint to take the abuse of their customers when something goes wrong but literally can't do squat about it). They delayed installation for ridiculous reasons, the final time being because they didn't have the storm door ready (instead of setting up another time to come install that real quick and getting on with all the windows??) So everything was finally installed. Props to those people because so far the windows are great, I'll say that much. Now we're sitting here because the super expensive storm door is already broken, they sent someone out to literally look at it and go, "yep that's broken, we'll send someone out in mid-December to fix it" -- what?!? It doesn't latch/lock and the screen is broken. How do we have to wait 3 months to get it replaced?! TL;DR -- customer service is THE worst! They don't ever return phone calls, don't keep your info on file, they are the worst. Do NOT trust these people. read more

We had done our research, met with other companies and talked with previous customers on their personnel experiences with Thompson Creek. Almost all gave nice reviews so we booked an appointment. The salesperson was knowledgeable about the products and found ways to enhance the look of our windows and with the help of the office, reduce the price making the company's overall pricing very competitive with the rest. Our existing windows were 22 years old and needed replaced. We ordered 16 windows and 2 sliding glass doors in December 2024 and they were installed in January 2025. The customer service department kept us informed with the time & date of installation. The installation crew of 4 men were very efficient, professional and clean. Drop clothes were placed throughout the house, booties were worn inside and the total installation took about 11 hours from time of arrival to completion. The project manager came by to ensure that all was going to plan and that we were satisfied with the service thus far. We are thrilled with our new windows and doors and highly recommend this company. read more

I would purchase the windows again but hire a contractor to handle the work because this company was terrible. The sales man was okay, they got their job done but I would say just too pushy. Then it came to the day of our scheduled installation. No one shows up...they text and say they are at the house but no one is outside.. an hour later they say they can't wait anymore and leave. I had to take a day off of work to be home for the windows....instead of sending the installers that day I now I have to give up an entire Saturday with a 4 hour window. Saturday comes along and they show up about 2 hours into the window. The installers didn't really speak any English so there was no way to communicate with them. The inspector shows up before the job is even halfway completed and all he asks is if we have the money for the job then leaves. I was under the impression he was supposed to inspect the job to make sure it was completed correctly. Since he never came back no one explained how to take the windows apart or anything. We should of received some kind of discount after losing a day of work because the company didn't show up...Overall I am so beyond disgusted with how this company runs that I wouldn't recommend them to anyone even though the windows are pretty cool and good quality read more

Let's start off by saying that this company is not dependable and the employees that work there are a nuisance. No one showed up for our 10:00 a.m. appointment.  I set up an appointment and they called me multiple times to verify one appointment. I told the young man that I will be available at the time and I still received another call and an email from someone confirming my appointment.  How many times does a prospective customer have to be badgered by your employees??? I am glad there are other companies I can choose to do business with because you all really need to reevaluate how you do business.  And please stop trying to force a homeowner to have multiple parties available for an estimate.  People do have jobs!! read more

I used Thompson Creek for my window replacement several years ago and was so impressed I recommended them to my clients and friends. Something has changed. I recommended them to a dear friend recently. She hired them to replace two doors. This was at least six months ago. They came out and measured and promised to get the job done in a timely manner. She was put off, the doors didn't come in, the company stalled, cancelled and finally after many phone calls, including management, the crew came today to fix the doors. When they left, one door still hung crookedly, the caulking around the doors could have been done by a two year old. I have never seen such shoddy work in all my time working with contractors. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! I have had a lot of work done on my house including windows, kitchen remodeled, roof, fence and have NEVER had such unprofessionalism. The communication is horrible! In Oct 2022 we signed a contract to have a shower stall replaced. The job was supposed to be completed by January/February they said. The installers came out in February. At the end of the job they told us that they did not have the shower door. We called Thomson Creek and was told that there was a delay in orders/supplies and it would be delivered on 4/6. On 4/4 we received a call stating that the door had been delivered and scheduled for a 4/14 installation. between 8 AM and 12 noon. My husband took the day off work to accommodate them. On that day 4/14 they told my husband they were running late and would be out later that day. Later that day they told my husband they couldn't make it at all and that he had to reschedule. We are soooo disappointed with this whole process! The staff are so inept. I spoke with one of their team leads Xavier Fikes who was confrontational and we were both raising our voices. Unbelievable!! The other team leads are just as inefficient. I've tried to get past them to speak with someone at a higher level but they keep sending me to other similarly inept team leads. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. SAVE YUR SANITY SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY, DO NOT SPEND A DIME ON THEM. They do not stand behind their sub-par craftmanship (if you want to call it that). Too bad you can't do negative stars. The gentleman who came into the house to offer an estimate was knowledgable about doors and construction. The installer knew what he was doing..until he didn't. He left the wrap around the door with dents, scratchs on the door itself, there is a chip in the paint. I have 40+ emails and 10-15 phone calls with "managers, project managers and just plain ignorant people" Thompson Creek sent out a "Professional" to take pictures of the door in which I spoke with breifly.. He noted that the wrap around the door was dented and could be replaced by Thompson Creek as it was damaged during install. the scratches on the door he want too sure about. I recived a message via email that Thompson Creek had ordered a door and we should call to schedule an appointment with them for re-install. I called a few days later to schedule the re-install in which I was told there would be a charge. I quickly went back to my email and found no conversation where I would be charged for damage caused by the installer.. I was passed around the "Project Manager parade" until I was told again I would be charged, charged for WHAT? THOMPSON CREEK INSTALLERS DID THE DAMAGE!!!!!!!!!!! I seriously recommend that you find another company to purchase your overpriced door from. I purchased the a front door because I believed in what they said however I am assuming due to an incorrect install, I have a bigger gap in my door than I had with my old front door. Terrible. and to make matters worst I have been trying for two days to contact a project coordinator. I will admit that I did call today 30 minutes before closing and was pleasant but oddly the phone call kept dropping. Needless to say this situation will continue into tomorrow. The crew was on time, got right to work, and cleaned everything up--but seemed to have been in a hurry to get to the next job, based on the sloppy finishing details. The grab-bar shelf was installed a little too low to be a good safety feature, and the drain grid was not properly centered over the drain pipe nor oriented perpendicular to the shower walls. Minor details? Yes. A "5-star experience"? Not for the price. Worst of all, I received ZERO follow-up when I mentioned the issues over the phone and emailed photos. Not a word. Paid about $3,000 for 3 new windows about 7 months ago. One, is already leaking from the rain and destroying my drywall. I have called and called to have someone fix it. I'm always transferred to where nobody picks up the phone or told that "someone will call me back". It's been about 21 hours now. Still no call back. The leaky pictures are from the window that they installed. Be warned! Don't be a sucker like me. It's probably leaking because they installed it in the pitch black of night..... I know How weird that sounds. They also could have told me that they broke my ADT sign while installing the windows. I don't mind that they broke the ADT sign. That happens. They didn't have to leave the pieces of the sign in my yard though for me to clean up when they left. update: a member came out and fixed the problem as soon as they were available. Nice product. Very informative sales pitch. But, the initial quote started at $60k, the was reduced to $48k, then reduce further to $36k after current and friends and family promos were factored in. Really wish they didn't use this selling tactic and just provided a written quote for $36k. Oh, their verbal bid is significantly higher than the three other bids. If I just agreed to the initial quote I'd have over invested by $24k. Hmm. So, I really liked their products, but I lost trust with the selling tactic. read more

At this point I don't know what to do. I call and call and call and hold for HOURS only to not have my call answered. I request a call back and receive no call back FOR DAYS going on a week now. My installation is completed and there's a loose part I'm trying to get fixed. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SO AT THIS POINT. Do I contact the BBB? Do I show up on their door step like what am I do. I was not happy with the hinges on my new storm door. After contacting Thompson Creek I was told the vendor said this is standard and there is nothing wrong with them. The edges are jagged and unfinished. Will not recommend nor use Thompson Creek if they stand behind this kind of product. read more

I had usedvThompson Creek for three different projects with complete satisfsction. I have as be also referred several other customersi called and set up an appointment to replace two skylights. While the sales re pop was very convenient as l and knowledgeable about roofing, he had no idea what skylights they would installed as long. Wasn't that we hat the quote was to be about? I now have problem we me with shutters and gutters that they installed. I have yet to be called back. I know COVID has put extreme pressures on companied, but others are providing customer service. This is not what one would expect. read more

I am just a sucker for punishment. Getting a view sliding door....oops we can't make it today...one hour before they were supposed to get there. Great, took a day off and get to take another because they can't execute again. In fairness, I should have learned my lesson by now....hoping the install goes well. read more

Nice salesman (as he should be) but the prices were crazy. I wouldn't pay the prices they want for the quality of products they sell.

Public cautionary post to prospective suckers: don't be fooled by the efficient sales process - this company has no customer service to speak of, let alone business ethics. Thompson Creek came out 09/01/18 to draw an estimate (whole-house gutter replacement, new patio slider, replacement kitchen window to be 2x larger than existing). I used 4hrs of my time for this apt. I made a decision on the spot, signed a contract and gave them a check for 1/3 of the contract price. Next they came out 09/12/18 to check the spaces, obstructions, detailed measurements and specs. Based on the observations & detailed measurements, we revised the specs for the kitchen window and I again made a decision & signed the contract amendment on the spot. Window & door were scheduled for "cut out" installation on Day 1, county inspection on Day 2, and final installation Day 3, followed by final county inspection (if needed) on Day 4. Homeowner's presence was required for all of these. A subcontractor came to install on 10/29. After cutting out the existing window and expanding the hole to fit the new one, they "discovered" a metal sewer vent pipe running through the middle of the new opening - branching off from the clearly visible kitchen sink pipes, with a stack extending out the roof which was also clearly visible from the patio (a few inches above the gutters that TC had measured & replaced weeks before). The TC team that came out 09/12 missed this obvious challenge. The TC site manager and I agreed on an alternative layout that would involve fabricating new windows of different sizes; the process involved car-dealer style maneuvering of the "let me call my manager to see what we can do" type BS. The subcontractors patched up the 4'x4' hole on the outside of my house with one poorly fitted sheet of plywood and left a 6'x4' gaping hole visible on the inside.... 6hrs of my time. The county inspector came on Oct 30, gave the final clearance/sticker for both the door as well as for the window(s) in their revised concept. The subcontractor came the next day (Oct 31) to put up the drywall around the door, and left with my check (another 1/3 of contract price) and the promise to be back for the window install and to wrap up drywall sanding on the door. They also left two huge bags of insulation foam boards, a complete box of plastic siding and several large & heavy wood beams in my garage. 6 more hrs of my time spent. As of 11/15 TC had not called, returned my calls, nor emailed me since Oct 29. I had not received the electronic change order for the new window specs, despite me having proactively called my "Project Coordinator" at least 6 times since Oct 30, asking for that document and for an installation date for the window. I wasted 2hrs of my time simply waiting on the phone (on hold) to be connected to my project coordinator - who seems to always be "on the other line" when I call, and miraculously hangs up that other call when I get irate and ask for a supervisor - this BS game has happened several times in the last week alone. When I finally was able to get her on the other end of the phone on Nov 9, a full 2 weeks after Thompson Creek left The Hole on the side of my house, she indicated she had just come back from vacation, had just got off the phone with my project manager and had just received instruction to "go ahead and order my windows for fabrication". Which means at least another 3-4 weeks with plywood between my family & winter weather, among many other implications. I told her this was unacceptable and that I expect my contract amendment via email and an installation date by 11/15. That date came & went with crickets from Thompson Creek. On 11/20 I finally got a call & email from my "coordinator" offering me a 12/01 installation date with a 12-2pm arrival window. I insisted on getting a written amendment on the contract including a technical description of the type & size of windows to be installed, since we're scraping the original specs. The description I got was "1 casement window in the existing opening and minimize the cutout to 24 inches as well as adding a picture window in the opening" - that could be just about anything! And today (12/01) at 1:45pm I get a call from a scheduler apologizing that "due to weather safety concerns" the crew will not be able to "complete" the work. To be clear: they never even arrived, and the weather hasn't changed since noon. read more

Update: A rep called us two days after my review, asked if a technician could stop by within the hour to look at the window. After they stopped over we were told we would receive a call back in a few days regarding a quote. A few days is quickly turning into 2 weeks, and we have yet to get the window repaired. This is rediculous! This is the second time I've left a review, as my first review was somehow removed without resolve from the company. To be clear, Thompson Creek Windows installed our home's windows. We have had a broken window for going on 3 months now. We have tried more than a DOZEN times to get a call back from SOMEONE...ANYONE regarding getting the window repaired. EVERYTIME we call we are told a representative will call us back, and it NEVER happens. It is now winter, and when freezing temps occur the broken window gets worse. We have recieved mail regarding special offers, so our home is on file. As a paying customer, the lack of response is unacceptable. If this review is flagged as fake again, I will continue to leave reviews until we get a response from a representative. read more

This company wasted our time. The salesman who came was very nice when he showed up, but after my wife and I decided we no longer wanted to listen to his PowerPoint presentation, his demeanor changed dramatically and he was no longer that "nice guy." I just wanted an estimate on installing two doors, not a presentation on the company's business model and how the doors are manufactured. And then his estimate came out to be $5K to install ONE basement door. Ridiculous! read more

Very pushy sell's tactic by the salesman! His attitude changed quickly to downright rude and aggressive. I wouldn't recommend this company even if they have good products. How do you expect people to make a decision on the spot without doing our homework and getting a 2nd quote?? Wasted more than 30 minutes on just their presentation on how good they are. read more

Still a less-than-one-star company. November 11, 2022. .. It has been over 18 weeks since Thompson Creek started my gutters, and they still have not completed the job correctly. Very disappointing from a local company. read more
