The server was very friendly, but that was the only posiitve. The food was terrible. I am not sure how so many places around here get away with not knowing how to cook, yet they stay open. The hash was out of a can and burnt. The gravy on the biscuits had a really off aftertaste to it, the worst I have had anywhere. Go to Oaks Eatery or Full Circle. One of the biscuits was really hard in one spot, weird. The server said that the OJ was a Spanish brand. It was terrible and not drinkable. The wait was a bit long. And while it is ok to train kids to work at the register, please train them to have some people skills. Mumbling from a chair when people walk in is not how you greet people. I wasn't even sure that this person worked here at first. You can sit but get them a stool to be eye-level with people. Then another awkward stare as I was cashing out. The whole thing was not a great experience. Go anywhere else.

Came here based on Yelp reviews and menu choices. Overall it was fine but I was a bit disappointed with the biscuits and gravy that were not made in house. :(. My husbands pancakes were tender and tasty. Here for a week and will try something else tomorrow.

Service was fast and friendly, it has a small town atmosphere, I had the Little Piggy, Pancakes and eggs were cooked perfect and served hot. Bacon was crisp, I know that the biscuits are not home made but like most places they are looking to hire kitchen help. I don't know if they ever made their own biscuit and gravy. More homemade items would have improved my rating, over all good experience.

While Thornton's is most known for their breakfast, I tried the quesadilla with chips and salsa, while my husband got a burger. I thought the quesadilla was well made for a non-Mexican restaurant and my husband loved his burger. Next time I go, I'm going to try the burger named after their grandfather, Bobs burger.

Not a bad place to eat. Nothing fancy. Food is good, prices are good and service is always good. Busy place on the weekends!

Great size for sharing, but you're not going to want to! So fresh, so tasty, and made with love from local ingredients. The cafe is located inside a "food hall" of sorts, surrounded by other local vendors serving cheese, produce, coffee, beer, smoothies, gifts, and more! Great atmosphere for cooling off from the summer sun and enjoying a unique lunch prepared by friendly, knowledgeable servers. If you're in the St. Joseph area, make sure to stop by and grab a snack! I highly recommend Dad's Farm & Cafe, and cannot wait to sink my teeth into that sandwich again soon!!

Or, I did. This person must really need 50 cents badly to actually ignore a customer and to refuse a refund. Your business will not last if you do not have the management skills to back up cooking skills. And this is a small area. When a customer asks you why you charged them something, they are not just asking. It is theft. I expect an answer when I ask that question. My receipt clearly shows a custom charge of 50 cents, for a side of sauce that I did not receive. It was actually supposed to be a dollar because I ordered 2 sides. I sent a message and was told that I was not charged, end of reply. I replied that I was. Instead of sending a refund, they sent me a copy of the current receipt that clearly shows a 50 cent custom charge on it. I am not the blind one here. I messaged again asking what the charge was for, if not for the sauce. No reply. I am also tired of tipping on takeout just to have no one check the orders and for it to go out wrong, no more. What is the tip for? It was 2 items, juice, and some sauce, not hard to get right. Tip in cash only if your order is correct. A normal response would also be to apologize for getting the order wrong to begin with. I have not received another response or a refund so I take it that they feel entitled to take money for items not given. It is not about the amount of money, just the audacity and bad business practices. Shameful behavior. There is nothing special about the menu here so something better will eventually take its place.

Absolutely delicious!…read more I eat lunch here about once a week. The food and service is consistently excellent! My favorite sandwich is the Hot Guac. It's loaded with fresh turkey, bacon and slightly spicy guacamole. Highly recommend!

While not a…read morevegetarian, she often will choose a vegetarian dish and with how vegetable heavy the menu is, I figured this was the perfect opportunity to come in for the first time. While Happy Poochie has been open for years, their short hours (11am-2:30pm M-F) make it hard to coordinate with my husband with days off. We came in not long after they opened at 11am on Monday, July 27th and stayed about an hour chatting even after we finished our meals. I got the cold hand cuke sandwich with a soda, while my parents split a sandwich (that I didn't hear the name of but had turkey on it), my mom choosing a canned tea and my dad getting a fountain drink lemonade. My mom almost got some chips, but they didn't have the healthier chips that she prefers. This spot was super cozy as well as clean. My dad used the restroom and reported back that it was well maintained. They have a cute porch area to enjoy on nice days like today, but we opted to stay inside. This was all of our first time here and we're very impressed with Happy Poochie Eatery. I very much would recommend finding a way to come out and try a sandwich or salad, though the hours do make that hard for the standard 9-5 worker. Thanks so much Happy Poochie Eatery for the fantastic food and I can't wait to come again!
