    Small fries

The fries were okay. I understand the hype since they opened years ago, but they're definitely not worth $8. They were good fries even without ketchup or any other condiments, but from a tourist's perspective, this isn't anything special. I think it's more for locals who want to relive their past.

First time trying Thrasher's fries and they were great! It's a nice little store window on the boardwalk and they were busy. We got the large bucket and they came out super quickly. They come bare, so you can add as much salt as you want. The only downside is they make it known they don't offer ketchup! As a ketchup lover, this was definitely disappointing so we just grabbed some packets from a nearby restaurant. Minus one star for the no ketchup, but the fries are great and taste homemade!

Located very near the boardwalk. Another local business that has thrived and survived for 100 years. Keep it simple & keep it consistent & keep it a value. The FF are fresh cut from a potato & you get to season ( see photos) as you like. Delicious, walk up window with quick service.

Some of the best fries you'll ever taste. They accomplish it with apparently no special coating. They fry it just right so that it's crunchy on the outside and soft, tender on the inside. I love that they leave the skin of the potato on. Drizzling it with the apple cider vinegar and a sprinkle of salt takes it up to another level. I understand why they've been around for 100 years.

Boardwalk fries are great when you're hungry, want something quick and easy, and aren't obsessed with having something that's healthy. Thrasher fries are just the ticket on the Rehoboth boardwalk, just across from the Pavillion. A large order of fries with a large soda cost $19. They have vinegar, salt, and napkins, but not ketchup. A fun thing for me is to enjoy the fries under the cover of the aforementioned pavilion ( to avoid my skin getting fried) and toss bits out to the seagulls and other small birds who are both hungry and eager, often amazingly catching the fries in mid-air. This is probably not the best for them, but everyone deserves a fatty treat now and then! The workers are hustling preparing more fries, and service is pretty fast. They do have a jug for tips, and I gratefully obliged. A large order for two people is likely a bit too much, however I never said that I wasn't gluttonous!

No one believed J.T. Thrasher in 1929 when he traveled from Georgia to Ocean City, Maryland, to start a small business making and selling only fried potatoes in peanut oil, that he was clairvoyant. In fact, some chalked up his eccentricity to religious fervor. Of course, someone had to create the French Fry in America and it fell to this visionary to do it. Closing in on a century of success, locals tell me that the taste, crispness and joy of coming to this boardwalk is compounded when they stop for a large cup of Trasher's with vinegar and a soft drink. Others call it a near-religious experience. Generations come to this French Fry Mecca to pay homage to something they claim is a constant in life that cannot be improved upon. I've only sampled them once and admit to being addicted. They are classics, with audacious flavor and crunch that only a light shake of salt and dash of malt vinegar perfects. Three stores in Rehoboth Beach (2 closed for the winter), and three more in Ocean City, a French Fry empire doth make.

Fries were average at best, and a bit over cooked. The malt vinegar helped mask that, thankfully. Can't figure out what all the hoopla is about with this "iconic" place? Would not get them again.

Best fries I've ever had without ketchup! I will be back next time. Service was very quick and the gentleman who helped me was grinning from cheek to cheek, so kind and friendly. I ordered a small but ordering a medium next time to share with my fam. Thanks Thrashers!

This place always has a long line but for good reason. These fries are delicious. And don't worry the line moves fast. Freshly made, crispy on the outside and practically melts in your mouth - these boardwalk fries are it. I highly recommend as it is a boardwalk must have.

Thrashers is a landmark in Rehoboth Beach since 1929. They have several stalls in a small area on the board walk and they are so worth a visit. They do French fries. Well, that doesn't do them justice. That's like saying Rembrandt painted pictures. Accurate but just fails to describe the art created. I like to cook. I make my own fries at least once a week and I'm told they are really good to the point that I've had friends show up with a potato and a smile. So I guess I know good fries. And then I got these. Oh wow. I honestly don't know what it is or how they do it but they do it right. The people behind the counter are friendly and quick and the price is fair. A packet of Thrashers and a coke and you've got the perfect snack for the board walk.

Incredible fries, served hot, fast, and fresh. They take orders and serve them very quickly. Very casual mid day snack place.

The truck is usually parked on Coastal Hwy by the PetSmart, so keep an eye out for it there. We ordered our usual favorites, the Bar Harbor Connecticut (hot with butter and an extra tail) and the Bar Harbor Classic (cold with an extra tail). Both were generously piled with lobster meat and absolutely delicious! Afton and Brittney were so friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. They reminded us about Mason's Lobster Roll full service restaurant in Rehoboth, and we're already looking forward to a sit down lobster dinner there with the family. I got the warm lobster roll with extra lobster. Came with a good serving of lobster, simple with butter and a roll. There is no extra fluff figuratively and literally.
