I had this as my late morning breakfast and thank GOD I had split them with a friend. This time it hit differently. This good. ** They don't have ketchup, so luckily we had extra packs from another restaurant, so be warned. It's just better when its earlier in the day then late in the day. Yes, they are the best fries ever. That's all Thrasher's does, and they do it really well. Vinegar and salt are added by you to your taste before you leave the stand. If you come to Rehoboth and leave without this form of potato in your stomach, you are obviously allergic to fries. I have been having them for years -- as in probably 14 -- and they have remained consistent for all of that time. How people work in a cramped space during the hottest days of summer is a mystery I have never figured out, but I am grateful they somehow manage. read more

The best fries ever! Cooked in peanut oil. Made fresh on the spot. We always buy a large. Even if we do not eat all of it on the spot, the leftovers will be gone before the end of the day. So don't waste your money buying anything else. Also, since this is a pick up window and there are looming seagulls around, I highly recommend you get a bag and a box. The bag protects you from those dive bombers. And the box serves a few purposes ... it helps you carry apple cider vinegar ramekins (which I highly recommend) and allows for easy transport to your final destination. Now go get some! read more

We came to this location of Threshers after being very disappointed with our fish and chips at Go Fish just across the way. We threw away most of the burnt, old-oil food we got from Go Fish and some of us waited in line at Threshers. We were so glad they did! Yum!!!! I am a huge french fry lover and Thrasher's definitely fulfilled my fry craving. We purchased a large bucket of fries to share with our group. They fill the whole bucket and then dump another huge scoop on top. They are served PIPING HOT. Yes! Just yes. I wasn't always a fan of vinegar with fries but decided to give it a try and it definitely did not disappoint. I found myself going back to add some more vinegar. Delicious! I had for many years enjoyed Thrasher's fries while visiting Rehoboth Beach UNTIL TODAY, September 12, 2023. On this day I bought my last small cup of fries and was both disappointed and somewhat sickened. The normally fresh and bountiful fries were greasy, overcooked and hard. I threw at least 1/3 of them away and will be very relucant to buy from any of your stores again. Sorry, but scaping up the burnt scraps even one time out of 50 is bad business. read more

Hands down my absolute favorite fries place on earth, maybe even place in earth. You can't find fries as good as these anywhere else. They have the perfect amount of crunch and saltiness, and are priced pretty fairly. Unfortunately they don't serve ketchup, but vinegar is most definitely the way to go, I always drown my fries in it. These fries are among my top three fries EVER, and of course are a must-have when we summer this way! These are the fries I grew up indulging in my entire childhood, and they have upheld their outstanding, delicious reputation over the decades. Sure the line is going to be long, but I can assure you, they are worth the wait! Each bite is perfectly crisp. No stragglers. Oh yum! So. So. Yum. You've created an artificial ketchup scarcity at resort towns like Rehoboth Beach, DE, by not serving America's most popular condiment. We had to order fries from Five Guys down the street - as a mere frame of reference to compare with Thrashers. The long lines at thrashers was an indication of this being the place to eat fries. We ordered the large bucket for $10. They come out hot, crispy, greasy and ready to devour. If you want to enter a delicious carb zone then this is your spot. Is it just me, or do others find it completely outrageous and despicable that Thrasher's chooses not to provide ketchup for their customers? Clearly, there's substantial demand for it.
