We got this with a black sesame flavor and just the standard milk that it came with. -Not too sweet, but the taste of the sesame or even the hojicha can be a bit stronger as we've had similar drinks to this that were more appealing. 2) Iced Chocolate Milk: -I mean you can't really mess this up to be honest. It's mixed well and doesn't taste scathingly sweet like a bottled chocolate milk. My boyfriend got a no sugar coffee here and it still tasted pretty sweet (like unadjusted Starbucks sweet) and it was just tossed into my chocolate milk because he couldn't stomach it. However, this review is actually about my few most recent visits. I went with a friend a couple weeks ago and her order took a very long time to make (Melati Over Crema). Keep in mind, there was no line and there were only 3 parties in the store, all of whom already had drinks besides my friend. This was a bit odd. Please note this isn't a complaint about how we expected the drink to be finished in an inhumane amount of time- it took a considerable amount of time (about 15 minutes) for the drink to be made when no one else was ordering or expecting a drink besides my friend. This was her first time having Uncle Fung's too, so it made for a bad impression, even though the drink tasted good. For another recent visit I had made, I felt like the drinks just did not taste as good as they used to. The cream in the Coco Cloud is way too milky now and a lot lighter in color compared to when we would get it in the past. There was barely any coffee flavor, just heavy cream and coconut water, which was not pleasant. Their Hoijicha latte also has been tasting super lackluster. When the hojicha or matcha is still very warm from being whisked and it gets poured into the cup of ice and milk, the ice just melts and the drink becomes watery, lukewarm, and just not good. I also noticed only one barista was making drinks while the rest socialize or are on their phones. This makes sense to me when the work environment is slow and not so busy, but when there is an actual line of people forming, I feel bad for the one barista putting in work. I don't know what's going on or what has made the quality dip, but it's making me not want to recommend Uncle Fung's or take my friends anymore. I still think this place is great- the drinks are yummy and unique, the interior is a great place to hang out or do work, and the employees are pretty nice. This really is the cafe I hype up the most in the 626 area. But if things keep going as they are, I will not return and can't continue to recommend.
