This is such a cute coffee shop! It's split into a restaurant and quick coffee shop/lunch spot. They had sandwiches, coffees, pastries, and more. The chocolate strawberry latte had strawberry puree, which made it sweet. They chocolate drizzle combined made it taste exactly like a chocolate covered strawberry. If you like sweet coffee, this is a great option! They didn't currently have it on the menu, but I just asked if they could make it and they kindly said yes!! The croissants were great, not too crumbly. They had a nice crunch and a nice soft inside. The pistachio was a mild taste, but definitely nutty.

La Mercato is one of those spots in Charleston that you keep seeing all over TikTok and Instagram, so we had to check it out while visiting--and it's definitely a fun bakery to stop by. The space itself is super cute with both indoor and outdoor seating, and it has that lively café energy that makes you want to hang out for a bit. We ordered a slice of the Calabrian pizza, which had a super light crust and great toppings with a nice spicy kick. We also tried the breakfast panino with prosciutto, eggs, and pesto--simple but really tasty and satisfying. For drinks, we got the dark chocolate orange latte (hot) and an iced vanilla latte with cold foam. Both looked beautiful and tasted just as good, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, it's easy to see why this place is so popular. If you're visiting Charleston and want a trendy bakery with great coffee, pastries, and sandwiches, it's definitely worth stopping by.

First of all, it was so cute on the inside. We just stopped by to try a latte we had seen on their Insta page, and it was so good, literally made our entire day. I will say, although three of us ordered the same drink, each one was made differently, and only one of them had a lot of the blueberry on the inside of the cup.

I was really excited to try this place! I feel like it's the coffee shop in charleston I've heard the most about. The inside was decorated beautifully. I got there around 9:55am on a Saturday morning and the line wasn't too long at all. I ordered the Casper Latte which was their special edition fall drink and it was good! It was a sugar cookie latte with marshmallow fluff. I didn't think the coffee was necessarily exceptional but maybe it's because I got a seasonal latte. I ordered the chocolate croissant and I feel like it had really quality ingredients but I didn't think it was great because it wasn't warmed up. I should've asked but I just assumed that was standard. The staff was super nice! If you want to get a seat/table try to get there early.

One of the best chocolate croissants I've had in Charleston. I ordered a Vanilla Old Fashioned Latte with Oat Milk and for a nonalcoholic coffee beverage, it's definitely worth ordering more than once. When I see the long lines out the door throughout the day, after experiencing Sorelle Mercato for myself, it makes sense. The fact that the place is so aesthetically pleasing is just a HUGE BENEFIT.

Came here for a visit at brunch on the weekend. They have outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor seating is community style, with a few individual tables around it. The line to order was long but it went by quite fast. We ordered one of their seasonal sandwiches, and another sandwich. Both were full of flavor. Bread was a little hard but other than that, it was delicious! Tried their matcha with apple cider as well. Not a big matcha fan but I would come back for this one! Overall, had a great experience! Plan for wait times to order and for a table if you're going during a busy time.

Coffee was good, ricotta toast was good. My husband ordered a panini and they forgot to make it (we were the only people waiting on food - not a busy time) and then he pointed it out to them and then they made him the wrong thing lol. I would go back and try their seasonal lattes but not super high on my list.

Cute coffee shop in downtown Charleston. Workers there were very friendly! I ordered the iced caramel latte with oat milk. It was good but not amazing. I also tried the rainbow cookie and Maritozzo. They were tasty. The rainbow cookie didn't have much of a strong almond flavor that I usually like. The Maritozzo was a little dry but the cream and Nutella filling was tasty!

Very nice little cafe on Broad Street. The ambience in here is great, feels like a luxury hotel. Came here on a Sunday morning and there was a small line. There are quite a few places to sit inside as well as outside on the street. Service at the counter was very friendly. The prices are steep, just to be aware. The croissants are absolutely delicious. Coffee is pretty good too, and they give you a pretty big cup for drip coffee at least. Definitely a classy place. Will be back!

Updating my review as they have made menu changes and I've found my favorites. The soup is fantastic. It tastes delicious and healthy, is definitely my go-to now. They also have these divine filled croissants which may be one of the best things I've ever eaten. Service lately has been really friendly and quick.

The coffee at the Mercado is always excellent. I really enjoyed the Apple Chai Latte today. I chose to leave 4 stars because the breakfast sandwiches, specifically the eggs, are a little underwhelming. I will continue to come back for the delicious coffee and the warm and welcoming environment indoors and out.

There is a high-end restaurant here open for dinner, and this is a smaller cafe that's open for lunch. One can tell that the quality of ingredients bleeds over. There were other aspects of the place that didn't wow me; the service was indifferent and not overly hasty, coupled by a strange incident where someone claiming to be a former employee stopped in and was recognized by no one. Given that you're just ordering at a counter, this is the sort of situation where I find requests for tipping increasingly grating. The few tables fill easily and seemed to fill with the most obnoxious hoi palloi of Charleston, such that when my food was finally ready I really wanted to leave. Fortunately, there are areas nearby with benches and scenery that make good eating locations. What they call a slice of pizza is a very flatbread creation, but the cheese, sauce, and ample garlic delivered no shortage of flavor. My salad was a vegetarian caesar that had beautifully fresh leaves and was quite tasty. I was very sad to have dropped a portion of it on the ground. Even for downtown, it was on the pricey side. The quality was clearly there. I'm guessing if you make a reservation for dinner and splurge, you probably get a better experience and the same quality of food.

My wife has a fish allergy and they offered to prepare a vegetable plate for her. They prepared three vegetable dishes, which were all excellent. He recommended the boulliabase which was phenomenal. I would highly recommend it to anyone. My wife also had the arugula salad, which was excellent. I started with the chicken liver pate, which is all it is claimed to be. I honestly did not think that the blue crab ravioli was anything special. In fact I could have skipped that dish and had been fine and would've had more room to finish the shrimp in the boulliabase. Desserts were outstanding. Chocolate budin (pudding) was delicious. Rice pudding was also quite nice with the fresh strawberries. The place itself was nice. Dark lighting. They did a great job of staggering seatings so you're not sitting on top of each other. Wonderful meal and night.

Accessibility-wise, it's a win: smooth roll-in entrance and an accessible bathroom that's actually usable. Service throughout the night was excellent--attentive, friendly, and professional without being overbearing. The food was stellar--easily some of the best I've ever had. One of those meals where every dish hits, and a few truly stand out. Cocktails overall were outstanding, but there was one hiccup worth noting. There's a "regular" Old Fashioned and options to "elevate," which significantly increases the price. My wife had difficulty reading the menu and relied on the server, who suggested the upgrade without clearly explaining the cost. She ended up with a $45 Old Fashioned that was noticeably smaller than my standard one--and honestly not as good. We mentioned it, but didn't get much beyond a polite acknowledgment. That said, it didn't take away from what was otherwise a fantastic night. Still an easy 5 stars--honestly, it deserves 6. Great service, exceptional food, strong accessibility, and a beautiful space. Highly recommend everyone give FIG a try.

It's modern, fresh and the staff are nice. I give the entire place 4 stars because their food is good, I did try something I never had before that I would give a 3 star rating though. I decided to get the blueberry glazed chicken wings. The staff said that they were amazing and that the blueberry sauce was like a bbq sauce with a hint of blueberry. I thought why not. I love a good chicken wing. The chicken was cooked well, it was moist in the center but it was like the chicken was swimming in blueberry puree. There was little bbq sauce flavor and tasted like straight blueberries, what was more disappointing was the sauce was so drenched on it that the crisp of the wing was gone, it was soggy. No one likes a soggy chicken wing. If I ever got these again which I probably wouldn't, I would ask for the sauce on the side or light sauce. This place is worth going to if you're in the area, the food is good and staff are nice, but I would stay away from the wings in my opinion.

Upon entering, the restaurant was VERY dimly lit with a tavern-like aesthetic. We started with drinks: a hugo spritz and a campari spritz. Both were good! Unfortunately, things kind of went downhill a bit after that--not because of the food, but mainly for the service. Our waitress seemed annoyed with our party from the get-go. To be fair, some of our friends did arrive about 25 minutes later than expected (from another Spoleto event), but we were very up front about their delay upon arriving to the restaurant. Beyond that, our waitress just never smiled and always gave us looks that just made us feel like a burden. The menu is also poorly organized. Appetizers are not separated from mains--which is annoying when you're deciding what you want (thinking it's a main when it's not). For appetizers, we ultimately ordered the lowland biscuit, the celery salad, and the yellowfun tuna + snapper crudo. All were very tasty and well made! The celery salad is so refreshing! But that biscuit is absolutely delicious! We loved all of them! For my main, I split a tavern burger with my sister. Also very good and very cheesy! Our friends ordered drinks and the butterscotch desert. We all enjoyed the food, just wish the menu was better delineated and the service was better. For my campari spritz, and splitting the appetizers/main, I paid $91.60 with tax and tip. Given that Charleston has so many amazing restaurants, I'm not sure my first choice would be to return here purely due to the aforementioned. I'm giving them 4/5 stars purely for the food.
