This unassuming building at the intersection Wisconsin hi-ways 11 and 35. Serves great food at a great price. I had the fried catfish that was excellent, two very big pieces, yummy coleslaw, and homemade French fries. The only thing that confused me was where the lobster came from, South Africa. I had been wanting to go to Three Mile House, and today I got my chance. I ordered the salmon Alfredo Pasta and it was delicious, actually, delicious is an understatement! The cheese curds were amazing, and they were served with parsley and Parmesan. My brother, age 4, said about the prime rib, "it's the best steak in the history of worlds!" The staff were so nice to us and each other, and the guy calling tables, let my 7 year old sister name the gnome Sam. The ambiance was great, and looked like a country dining room. Hard to find, but worth it. We're traveling from Illinois and were looking for a good local spot, and we found it. Prime rib special was great and generous portion. Menu is not adventurous and offered typical dishes, The service was excellent, our server Diane was very cordial. Drinks were good and reasonable. I had sweet potato fries as my side - I definitely recommend them. I got my food to go. We like to come here when we are in the area. I'm not sure if I have ever reviewed it before, but really, it never disappoints. We came on a Saturday at 6pm without having a reservation. They said 20 minutes and it was probably 15 minutes. I like to come here because they don't just have a standard restaurants/supper club menu. I had chicken piccata. The chicken was tender and juicy. The piccata sauce was nice and delicious. Not over powering. Someone recommended that I order it with the Jaime rice instead of the mashed potatoes. Good recommendation. Hubby went out of the box (what box?!) and ordered 2 appetizers. Steak bites with blue cheese and horseradish. They forgot the horseradish but the balsamic drizzle really made the dish! He also got the stuffed mushrooms. They came witha lot of cheese and Marina sauce. Karen was our server and excellent. A final point, we ordered a bottle of wine, there glasses have nice tall stems with thin globes. We need to comehere more often. Prices have increased but are not outrageous. Fantastic supper club. Ate here with a friend this past Saturday night. The place was so packed we had to sit in the bar 40 minutes before getting a table - but it was more than worth the wait and there were some great football games on. Full service bar - with bottles you don't see elsewhere - and experienced, friendly bartenders. Their Old Fashioned is legendary and comes with 3 huge cherries and a very thick slice of orange. We also had a Bloody Mary and a Long Branch which were both excellent. The food in the dining room was outstanding and plentiful. You start with a relish tray on your table and go from there. We had the soup of the day - German ham and potato - that my friend just couldn't stop raving about; and he's very into soup. In fact he talked about it the rest of the evening and even at breakfast the next morning. Next we shared a steak bites appetizer which was unique and cooked just right. I had the chicken cordon bleu with jasmine rice for my entry; it was a good-sized portion and tasted great. My friend had the pork chops with apples which in hindsight I wish I had ordered. Thankfully he was generous enough to share. The pork chops (2) were tender and juicy and the apples were warm with a hint of cinnamon. For dessert I was going to try one of their many ice-cream drinks, but we opted for a limoncello cake which was perfect. Not too sweet, not too tart; we found it light, fluffy, and tasty. Service was very good and it was nice to see young people - which we assumed were family - bussing the tables. The tables in the dining room could be spaced a little farther apart, but if it means less people get to dine, I'd leave things exactly as they are. I wouldn't want anyone to have to wait for dinner or not get in. I can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to go again. read more

The building is outdated and cramped with no decor or identifiable atmosphere. Just 4 walls with utilitarian furnishings. The little space between tables and chairs required stepping sideways and saying "excuse me". The lady seated at a table next to ours commented on our conversation as we left. She heard us because she sat as close to us as she did to the people at her own table. Even with a reservation and 1/3 of the tables empty, we waited 10 minutes for a table. Not terrible, but there was no obvious reason for the wait. Our waitress was friendly, knew the menu, and checked on us once after our food arrived. For $20, I had the special: almond crusted salmon, a salad, and French fries. The salmon was cooked well so that it was tender and moist. The salad was unremarkable chopped iceberg lettuce. The fries were limp and barely warm. Steamed broccoli or some green beans on the plate with the salmon would have been appealing. While my dining experience was not a bad one, it was not one that I want to repeat. read more

Traveling through the area, looking for a "true" supper club experience (most in the area are closed on Mond/Tues) and found this place to be a worthy contender! Ate early so no wait like some other reviewers mentioned, table already had fresh relish tray with veggies, crackers, braunschweiger spread, homemade cheese spread and ranch dressing. Old fashioned cocktails were Wisconsin style (just what I wanted) with too-shelf brandy and giant maraschino cherries and delicious! French onion soup (so good and cheesy), side salad that was fresh, crunchy and came with old school French dressing (the bright red kind). Fried walleye (crunch and moist) and pork chops (two 7 oz bone-in grilled served with sautéed cinnamon apples) were both delicious. We both had baked potatoes cooked they way they are supposed to be (and NO aluminum foil!) we're hot and fluffy. To top it off, we shared the best grasshopper ice cream drink I've ever had. When was the last time you ate at a place that billed itself as a "Supper Club"? I was hesitant to proceed based on the outside. I was even more uncomfortable when I walked straight into a little local bar. It was like the scene in Animal House when Boon yells "Otis, my man" at the Dexter Lake Club. I got that Otis kinda stare from one of the patrons. I was sent to the dining room with a menu. There was a light crowd on a Tuesday night. After I settled, I realized I was in a very cool, locals haunt that does very good home cooking. I looked over the menu. When the extremely sweet waitress comes by with my complementary plate of fresh veggies, dip, crackers and rolls, I ask her for a recommendation. I ended up ordering the Beef Tips and Noodles special. I wasn't expecting what I got but it was a generous portion of roast beef on top of homemade thick noodles. The dish was pretty bland, but a little salt overcame that. The cole slaw was good, but very standard. The place is reasonably priced and again, the service was very good. I had a couple of local beers, the Capital Dark from Madison-based Capital Brewery was the better of the two. In the end, I'd say this place would get some regular business if I lived around here. And if that was the case, I reckon I'd be treated like one couple that came in to find a table already set with drinks, slaw and menus. Apparently they were expected. read more

From Houston but Working in Davenport. Decided to drive to Wisconsin. Only an hour away, what the heck...right? Was looking for some place to eat and I stumbled across this jewel. Great Food, Great Service and Great People! I ordered the steak and lobster, they were both cooked perfectly. I was able to cut my tenderloin with my fork. I highly recommend this place! This is a great little roadhouse in the middle of nowhere. It has very friendly service and delicious food. The place was crowded when we arrived and we knew that was a good sign; you can tell this is a local favorite. The prices are a bit steep, but for the portion sizes and the extras it's worth it! The only reason I rated them down a star was because of the ambience. It's pretty basic, with no windows, decorations, music or anything special to separate them from other stops like this one. However, I would defiantly recommend this little joint to anyone stopping through looking for a good meal! read more

My husband & I are from Chicago, Il. and we love Wisconsin Supper Clubs. So, when on vacation recently in Kieler, Wi we asked people at the RV park which supper club they recommended and they said "without a doubt, 3 Mile House in Hazel Green. We went there and absolutely loved it. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by Will and Magic, it became our favorite place in southwest Wisconsin. My husband is now big fan of Wisconsin brandy old fashioneds !! The food was sooo good. Hubby had Osso Buco that he loved and I had the best hamburger I have ever had. It is such an inviting place, from the wonderful staff, to delicious food, to the old time feel of a family restaurant. We enjoyed our first visit so much we went back the next week to have our final meal on vacation in Wisconsin at 3 Mile House Supper Club. Again, a great time with delicious food and drink!!!!! I also have to thank our waitress, Karen, she is wonderful. And, Will, I did not get to talk to you before we left, so I owe you a huge "THANK YOU" for the braunschweiger dip. Delicious!!! Took our four kids here, two of which are pretty picky eaters and everyone was 100% satisfied. The dishes that were tried were steak both medium rare and rare, chicken tenders (not great), the kids cheeseburger, chicken wings, and spaghetti. Both regular and sweet baked potatoes were fantastic. Everyone had a great time and the service was amazing. Definitely would return whenever in town again. Awesome supper club. We occasionally show up on a Saturday evening with two elderly ladies. The staff is exceptionally helpful, friendly and willing to appreciate our effort. Even the patrons look out for us... great class of dining clients. The food and drink was even better than one might imagine, local ownership has advantages! We have eaten at several excellent Wisconsin supper clubs. This is not one of them. We thought this place would have charm and character. Instead, it was like having dinner inside a construction trailer. That's fortunate, because the only view would be of the closed gas station outside the parking lot. The food, at best, was average. Although the wait staff was attentive and friendly, it is difficult to overlook the fact that someone can really ruin hash browns. The salad we ordered was simply plain iceberg lettuce. We also ordered the stuffed cod, which was tasteless. The stuffed shrimp was actually good, but our meal, overall, was not. If you're looking for local flavor, there are far better places around. read more

This has always been my favorite local restaurant until recently when the new owners took over and quality of food has gone down hill. I can get past the price increase but not food quality, we even gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried a second time with a group of 10. Three of us ordered a tenderloin all medium rare and it came back well done. I ordered my usual seafood platter and the fish, scallops and shrimp were undercooked. I sent it back and asked them to cook it longer but it came back out with new fish and the same undercooked scallops and shrimp. $34 and I only ate the fried fish. The lobster tail was downgraded from our last visit, it didn't even taste like lobster and instead of being red shell it was black. I mentioned to the waitress how unhappy we were with the food and she said she would send the manager over, he never came. On our way out we stopped and told the manager about our meal and how disappointing it was and all he said was I'm sorry. I left feeling like they didn't care that we had a bad experience. Waitress did a good job and we tipped well because she gave great service, it wasn't her fault the food wasn't good. read more

My husband & I are Chicagoans that learned about Wisconsin Supper Clubs a year ago. Although we were staying in Dubuque, IA we made 3 Mile House, just over the WI boarder, a destination. This is a no frills traditional supper club. Old fashion cocktails to start, relish tray with 3 delicious dips, meat & potatoes entrée, and dessert cocktails at the end. We got the ribeye steak, fried chicken and beef tip noodles and they all were high quality. The fried chicken was our favorite. My husband is a Southerner and a very tough critique so this is very high praise in our book. The service was polite, professional and curious. I would recommend 3 Mile House to anyone. read more

While visiting Dubuque, stopped by here for supper. Our server didn't know much amour beer selection that they had but was willing to get me what I wanted. The table was set up with relish tray with Carrot celery radish broccoli and what not with also crackers and ranch, cheese spread and ham spread. Dinner Rolls were also available. My boyfriend ordered the African lobster and I ordered beef and noodle. Both were excellent, they give more than plenty of beef tips on b&n. They don't have desert tho. read more

Usually stop every 4-6 weeks returning from weekend trips. As usual was fun bar/lounge atmosphere with very social and knowledgeable bartender. Normally food and service are good and love relish tray, but for some reason wait staff never took our order. Some do order at bar on way to table but menus on table should have been a clue. After many others after us received their food and still unable to get wait staff attention without seeming rude decided to dine elsewhere. Might go back someday but definitely recommend keeping track of wait staff read more
