We were pleasantly surprised by our experience at Humble Market. The staff seated us quickly, and our server, Trinka, was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome. We were able to get a table on the patio overlooking the resort, which offered a great view. We chose the breakfast buffet, and there were plenty of options for everyone. The made‑to‑order omelets were excellent--we ordered ours with everything (veggies and meat), and it was perfect. The avocado toast bar was another highlight, and the selection of fresh fruit was impressive. A couple of notes: alcohol isn't served until after 8 a.m., and if you sit on the outdoor patio, be prepared for very active birds--they're constantly swooping around. After a wonderful stay at the Wailea Beach Resort, this was unfortunately the one major disappointment of our trip. Humble Market Kitchen feels like a restaurant that knows it has a captive audience and has stopped trying very hard. The food was uninspired, generic, and significantly overpriced for what was delivered. Nothing was particularly bad, but almost nothing was memorable either. Breakfast was especially underwhelming. Skip the buffet. The eggs were watery and soupy, and the "Hawaiian sausage" turned out to be little more than sliced hot dogs. For a resort of this caliber in a destination known for incredible food, it felt surprisingly low effort. Service was probably the strongest part of the experience, but even that was average at best. I'd call it a 6 out of 10. Friendly enough, but not the level of hospitality you'd expect given the prices and setting. The disconnect is especially noticeable because the Wailea Beach Resort itself is fantastic. We genuinely loved our stay and would absolutely return to the property. That's what makes the restaurant so disappointing. It feels like a business operating inside a great resort rather than an extension of the resort experience. If you're staying at the Wailea Beach Resort, do yourself a favor and explore the many excellent dining options around Wailea instead. This review is for their breakfast buffet which was included in our stay at the attached resort (Wailea beach resort). The wait can vary-- if there is no line, no wait for a table. If there is a line, the wait can be lengthy. One day she took my number and texted me when our table was ready (and I killed time at the lobby shops and artisan stands while my husband enjoyed the open air lobby views). The staff are kind, friendly and even offered area activity recommendations. The ocean view is incredible-- it can be enjoyed best on the patio, and from many of the indoor tables. The buffet includes unlimited coffee, tea, juices (love the POG juice), coke products (you can ask for a to go cup on your way out! I recommend asking for ice)-- as well as a made to order omelet. Then there is the entire buffet. As a vegetarian, I had plenty of options. Loved the avocado toast bar-- it was so flavorful! I loved the scones were different flavors each day. I eat eggs, so I sometimes had the scramble, sometimes a veggie omelet (I liked to top it with parmesan cheese from the avocado toast bar). I enjoyed the breakfast potatoes (they changed them up a bit each day), and the variety of salads. They even had a marinaded tofu! The place is kid friendly. There is a parking garage. read more

What a lovely experience. All decorated for Christmas, with all of the windows, the setting couldn't be more perfect. Our server Anna was amazing. She was so nice and helpful and was just an added bonus to the evening. We came in to celebrate my birthday a week early and she made the night so special. The food was delicious. We are suckers for pre fixe menus, and theirs didn't disappoint. Started with lumpia, then the most delicious potato crushed fish and tender short ribs. Ending with the most perfectly cooked chocolate lava cake that I was tempted to dig into while it was way too hot! The meal couldn't have been any better. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast. The presentation was very nice and the food was fresh and flavorful. The menu offers a wide range of classic American breakfast favorites -- omelets, eggs, bacon, mango and Portuguese sausage, loaded fries, mochi pancakes, pastries, and fresh fruit -- all prepared beautifully. Also was served guava and orange juice mimosas which were included! While I would have liked to see more local Hawaiian flavors featured, everything we ordered was delicious. The dining area was separate from the buffet area so not cluttered like most buffets. The staff were warm and attentive, and parking was validated. We dined at Humble Market Kitchen the day before Valentine's Day for the first time, and overall, we had a great experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and our waitress was friendly, though she did forget my tea, and I had to ask a second time. For appetizers, we ordered the baby back ribs and seared ahi, and due to a mix-up, we also received the Maui beef gyoza, which the restaurant kindly comped. The gyoza was actually a great addition, and I really enjoyed it. The standout for me, however, was the seared ahi--it was absolutely delicious and my favorite dish of the night. For entrées, we had the macadamia nut-crusted rack of lamb and ribeye. My husband's ribeye was cooked perfectly medium and was a solid choice. I wasn't as impressed with the rack of lamb, as I personally prefer the lamb chops at Nick's Fish Market down the road. To finish, we shared the chocolate soufflé, which was absolutely perfect--one of the best desserts I've had. While we had a lovely meal, I have to say that given the variety of dining options in Wailea, we're not sure if we'd return, but it was still a great experience with good food and service. read more

We were staying at the hotel and had breakfast here included. The staff were friendly and we were always sat rather quickly. It was a buffet and you can order omelets from the waitstaff. The juice (Pog specifically) did not taste fresh squeezed. I was pleasantly surprised to see rice on the hot bar, but bummed it always had a meat (thankfully it was easy to eat around/pick out). The avocado toast bar was a unique addition I hadn't seen before. While the cantaloupe and watermelon were fresh and delicious, I was shocked that there wasn't any pineapple. I was clearly disappointed in Humble Market Kitchin. First the seating is very uncomfortable. My wife and I switched seats because her bench made it feel like she was sitting on the floor. The views at sunset were great. Next they were clearly understaffed or just not great at managing the situation. It seemed like once you were seated and ordered then you were a bit of an afterthought. It took until desert to refill our drinks The food was fine. The brussel and cauliflower app was ok. Not much seasoning on the veg and a bit dry from the frying. The butterfish was good. The green tea cold noodles not so much. The short ribs were good as well but not amazing as I had heard. I was staying at the Wailea Beach Resort where this restaurant is located. On my last night there, I did not want to venture off property so I made an Open Table reservation. They were very busy so I did have to wait a few minutes past my reservation time but it was fine. With them being busy, it took awhile for my waiter to come by but after that he was pretty attentive. They cut the calamari in strips vs rings. Very tasty. Both sauces had a kick to them but I liked them both. For my entree, I had the HONEY MUSTARD BONELESS BEEF SHORTRIBS: Potatoes Au Gratin | Roasted Mushroom Medley | Pickled Pohole Fern Chimichurri. I actually like the potatoes and veggies better than the beef. The beef was good but not a super strong flavor. And it was a huge portion. It would have been good to share it with someone. A great restaurant at the Marriott. We had the cauliflower and Brussel sprouts and it was the most delicious vegetable dish ever. If you are keto, this is the dish to get. I also tried the misoyaki butterfish, which was excellent and recommended by the waiter as a signature dish. However, I was a bit turned off by the bed of pohole underneath the fish, which is an acquired taste. If you want to make something Hawaiian, ok, but don't put something that would gross some people out. Pohole tastes like a really bad kelp. Humble Market Kitchin is located in Marriot Wailea Beach Resort in Kihei Maui. The restaurant was located near the front desk next to the lounge area. They offer happy hour from 5pm to 6pm and my relatives invited me to try their happy hour menu. The restaurant was spacious with dining tables, high tables, and lounge tables. For happy hour guests, we sat in the lounge tables which was large and comfortable. Brussels Sprouts and Cauliflower: I love roasted Brussels sprouts. Im not a fan of cauliflower but these were good roasted and crispy. The queso sauce was good. I didn't taste much of the aioli but the veges were tangy. Crispy Ika-Katsu (Calamari): The calamari sticks were good. Perfectly golden and crispy. It was on the chewier side which was fine. The cocktail sauce was excellent but their "tartar" sauce taste like ranch dressing. Kula Mixed Greens: This was a good dish to get some greens in and to clean the palate from the saltier dishes. The garlic crunch in the dish adds texture and flavor. The vinaigrette dressing was tasty. Szechuan Spiced Baby Back Ribs: The ribs were tender and it's easily slid from the bone. However, not a fan of the Szechuan sauce. It was on the saltier side. I prefer original bbq sauce for ribs. "Chili-Peppah" Chicken Wings: The chicken wings/drumsticks were saucy. It was not bad but it was on the saltier side. It has a slight spice kick and it came with ranch on the side. Potato Crusted Local Catch: The local catch of that day was monchong fish. I like monchong because it doesn't have the fishy taste. The monchong was fresh and moist. The potato crust wasn't crunchy since it absorbed the fish moisture. The risotto couscous was divine. I love the texture and it taste delicious with the lobster sauce. I would prefer more of the lobster sauce over the dish. Madame Pele Roll: The sushi roll included a charred spicy tuna on top so it was a little smoky but so delicious. I love spicy tuna rolls and the sauce was savory and sweet on top. Chocolate Soufflé: Roy's iconic dessert. The chocolate soufflé came out hot and the molten chocolate lava was perfectly runny. The scoop of vanilla ice cream was huge and it pairs so well with the hot soufflé. Overall, it was a good dinner. The $10 price for the appetizer was a good deal with good portion size. The service was good and friendly. Everyone made us feel welcome. They do still offer kamaaina discount, however it is not included for their happy hour menu and alcoholic drinks. read more

Let me tell you, the mash potato was another level - buttery, creamy, with savoury bits of bacon mixed in. The rib itself was so tender and juicy. No knife needed. 2. Macadamia nut crusted Lamb. This was pricy but completely worth it. The flavour of the lamb had a noticeable coffee hint that added so much depth to it. Meat was cooked to perfection as well. For dessert we had chocolate soufflé and pineapple upside down cake. Both were melts in your mouth delicious as they came right out of the oven.
