We skipped it this time, and instead went right to the donation area set-up near the garage entrance. I've been coming to this Goodwill forever. Literally, for years upon years. I've always found it to be a fun place to find those unique items that you never really knew you needed, or those vintage items that you thought would never to be seen again. Overall, I've never really had a bad experience from this shop. And, I've happily donated tons and tons of stuff to this location. Which, is the main reason I went in there today. The reason this review is a two star review is because, as mentioned, I just went there today. When I pulled into the parking lot, there are three staff members, each wearing the Goodwill blue shirt, standing there smoking weed. Now, I certainly understand that marijuana is legal in California, and all of that. And, I have no problem with any of that. What I do have a problem with is, this business is designed to help the greater community at large, and to give back. How is that happening when three staff members are standing directly outside of the front door of the business and getting high? Do that on your own time, I have no problem with it. But, when you're at work, particularly for a nonprofit business like this, I just don't believe that's the way employees should be behave. Where's the management? Just some food for thought. read more

First time at this location. They have a lot of clothing which keeps my daughter busy, and they have an area in the back for hardlines. There were some deals to be had for sure, and the staff was very friendly. If I'm in the area I'd certainly return again. :) read more

Said they would refund the money to the card and check me out again They then told me that it takes three days to get my money back when the card was declined for the new transaction Smugly- "well we didn't know you had insufficient funds" I snapped I yelled out I did not have insufficient fund you have not returned the funds I paid your company so I don't have money "I don't appreciate you yelling at me" So still here 40 minutes later trying to check out because you went to call her district manager cause "She didn't appreciate how I spoke to her" This when she announced to the store that I had insufficient funds Never one apology for their series of mistakes Never any understanding Just shaming me for not having TWICE the amount of my purchase This is not OK Still waiting for help read more

One of my favorite Goodwills in Orange County. Clean, organized, lots of staff members available and hard at work. The clothing section is great while the everything else section wasn't great. Also heard they have the bins behind the store everyday except on Sundays. There's also a small parking lot in the front and lots of street parking. It's a little bit sketchy but otherwise fine. read more

Oh yeah this was a decent Goodwill, good stuff, not so overpriced like the others in the southbay. Has parking lot and street parking, it's in front of it's Auction facility that's located behind it. Not a very big store, but not that small and full of items. The only thing was when I found a perfect retro lampshade for my floor lamp, the lady at the register told me they didn't sell lampshades. I told her to ask someone, because I've seen lampshades stacked up with price tags (this one in particular tag was torn up & hard to read). Anyhow, she was hesitant but when she saw that the line was growing, she gave it to me for $3. My thing is, why not find out first, if you're not sure? Don't just make your own rules because you don't want to deal with it. All GW's are like that, always that one employee whose difficult. And I'm all for giving people jobs, keep the workforce going. But fully train them darn it!! read more

The local Goodwill stores have really improved the display of merchandise. Their online shopping is getting better however they plaster your phone number on your packing information but no one calls to tell you that your order was returned. They don't include packing slips, and their handling fees are really excessive and even if error on their part shipping fees are not refunded. Unfortunately I have had several packages delivered to wrong address by FedEx with photo of someone else's apartment door and neither party will reimburse me or file a claim with police. read more

I seldom find anything at any of the goodwill stores run by this particular company. When I do find things I can't even return or exchange because they stopped allowing that. That no exchange or return rule makes trying to support second hand clothing stores extremely difficult because I just end up supporting over consuming items that I have no use for. Also, once one of the bosses was going on and on about how he was so proud of the profits made under his employment since covid began but that's when they implemented that rule... so obviously they were going to have higher profits. Duh. And normally that rule wouldn't be so bothersome but the fact is majority of their customers are low income, so why on earth would they keep them from returning an item that doesn't work for them when every dollar makes a difference for them ?? Idk but personally I wouldn't be proud of profits made by taking advantage of people when preaching 'good-will'. Side note: Pacific location smell like urine even more than the Atlantic location.. but all in all at least I'm trying not to support fast fashion. read more

This goodwill is close to my home, and I had things I needed to donate. Their donation center was easy to navigate, as it's just in their parking lot, but the workers are usually really helpful with collecting the donations from you. Because of COVID, they've divvied up the piles so that drop off was no contact. Going inside, to me it's always been pretty organized. On their busier days, they usually have someone in the front monitoring the crowds and making sure that not too many people are inside. They also have their sanitizers up front, and they'll let you know if there are sales going on. Overall it's always been a positive experience for me. In fact I'm going back tomorrow to do more drop offs! read more

The lady that I spoke to was very rude. I asked if they charge for fax machine drop off and she said they do not because they are goodwill she told me how could I ask that question. That is a perfectly good question to ask because I never dealt with them before and I previously went to another recycle drop off location (not goodwill) and they charge $5 for dropping off a fax machine. I wanted to see if they charged or not. She also hung up on me so I will definitely not be going there! read more

Pretty difficult to mess up a Goodwill.. I've only had pleasant experiences at this one.. prices have gotten higher over the years but I guess that's how it goes. I prefer GW over the Sally but that's just personal preference I suppose. Nothing bad to say about this place though. read more

I will not be donating to this PCH Goodwill in the future. There was no attendant at donation drop-off to greet me or assist with boxes. There were no directions posted for flow of traffic or donation instructions. After I unloaded half of my donations, a staff member came out, puffed up his chest at me and aggressively demanded to know what I was doing. "Donating?" As he unloaded the remainder of my boxes he complained that my boxes were small and light re: I didn't donate enough (probably because I had already unloaded most of my boxes without him!). Also, what kind of attitude is that?? Like don't bother donating at all? He was so curt and rude I just wanted to get out of there. I only came to this Goodwill because other Goodwills are only accepting 2 donation boxes at a time (where I had dropped off other donations earlier in the day). read more

Went here on Christmas Eve to drop off some goods. I was told rudely by a young women that there was only 2 bags per car allowed, which I had plus 2 other bags of nice blanket and pillows. I was told NO blankets or beddings of any kind would accepted. I left 2 other bags of shoes,purses, and clothes--some of which still had tags or very lightly worn. This same women took my bags and threw it on top of a pile of other bags at which point I see the shoes and purses I just dropped off flying everywhere---so sad. I need to stick to the LB Rescue Mission, they truly care about receiving donations and sell them at affordable prices. I will never ever use the Goodwill again. read more

Easy drop off donation! Way more organized than other locations and there is always someone there to greet you and give you a receipt right away. I've only shopped here once. I had to go through hundreds of jeans to find a nice pair that fit, but I did and they are really comfy so it was worth it. Seriously so many jeans. Also really glad I tried them on first in the fitting rooms. read more

One of my favorite Goodwills. It is a little hidden and a little confusing since there is another bridge on Wardlow or so. But you can definitely find good house furniture here in great condition and at a low cost! My boyfriend and I found this big Ikea cubicle shelf thing for only 20 bucks! Not only that but another wood and glass shelf for 10 dollars or so. If you ask me, I would say that is a pretty great deal! Most thrift stores would sell it for more. read more

My first time thrifting! My friends brought me since I had never been thrifting before and I think my experience garnered enough Goodwill that I will try my hand at it again. The 2 stars is for the rude staff in the front. The first time I was treated poorly at this location. The person doing the temp checks takes the job too serious. No training or effort to even greet a customer the command to stand behind the blue line while your waiting for the person in an empty store to take a simple one second temperature reading. This store has friendly and helpful employees, and it is very big so there is a lot of room to shop comfortably. The problem with this store is the pricing is way too high. Its really hard to find a good deal on any merchandise in this store. They also need more clothing racks, because they cram so many clothes on each rack that looking through them is very difficult. Why force so many clothes on one rack when you can simply add a few more clothing racks? read more

I suppose the furniture section was good enough, I have previously bought a tv stand here and the price was good. But they do odd things. Like they had a co-ax cable in a rj-45 box, and when I pointed it out they were like "we don't care, it just came like that from Target". read more

If I could give no stars, I would. The prices that are marked are outrageous. $85 for cream and sugar set, I could find at any other thrift store for under $5. No reason to ask about the many items that aren't marked. Not clean, poorly organized, flat-line staff. Quantity, but lacking quality. Badwill is a more accurate name. read more

I came into this goodwill homeless with no job, asked a guy for work and he directed me to the office side of the store. Filled out some applications, and waited a short period of time and met with a gentleman named Arthur Gonzalez. We talked, I told him my story and almost just like that he turned my life back around with a opportunity to get into a great paying job with great learning experiences and great benefits. Also provided great sources for a place to sleep and shower. What a blessing and what I caring guy to put strangers in a place to turn it around. I recommend this guy if you come into this location looking for work or a place to stay, he was definitely a big help in my life! read more
