Pros: Service was good. The friendly employees helped us select the best food options for us. Very friendly. The food had some really good flavors. Unique for the city of Apopka. I was very happy with the food. Cons: Some of the build structure and texture of the food items were disappointing. Tips: Get the sliders. They were yummy. Skip the baos. They were a little gummy.

Plus, seasonally, it's a Pumpkin Patch and Christmas Tree Farm! The large deck includes lush plants, picnic tables, cozy Adirondack chairs, and is bookended by a fabulous bar and stage for live music. I cannot say enough good things about this space and its owners. They are part of the push to create community in Apopka through offering engaging quality businesses and venues (these are the people behind the future Hall's on 5th food hall right on the same street!). I have been coming to Propagate since we started building our home and have really enjoyed seeing their business flourish over the past few years. They have a loyal customer in me and I cannot wait to see what's next. I digress, the service at The Shade House is stellar, the cocktails are creative, and the vibe is an extension of Propagates but with some added spice. You guys outdid yourselves on this one.

I decided to order from Sweet & Salty Island Grindz, and the Katsu Chicken Plate was phenomenal. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The portions were generous, and every bite tasted fresh and well prepared. One thing that really sets Halls on 5th apart is the bar. Unlike many food halls that only offer beer and wine, they have a full-service bar with an excellent selection of cocktails and spirits. The bartender was friendly, attentive, and provided outstanding service, which made the experience even better. Between the variety of food options, the full bar, and the great hospitality, Halls on 5th is a place I'll definitely be returning to. If you're in Apopka, it's well worth the visit.

No exterior sign at all. Found my way inside and it took a few moments to be acknowledged. That's ok, baristas were busy, I get it. I was slightly underwhelmed at the dark interior. It was no where near as clean or charming as I had expected. Once greeted, I asked if I could have my Americano in a mug instead of a to-go cup. [Insert confused face here]. Apparently this was a tough request. Once we cleared this up, payment was processed and I took a seat at a booth. Coffee order was brought out in a small plastic cup. Yes- plastic cups. Mmmm, hot liquid served in plastic is my fav. (I'm kidding of course) worse yet, the coffee was straight up awful. Truly, it was bad and I hate to even say this. I know a small biz needs all the love it can get and I REALLY wanted to love this place. I even had an extra shot of espresso added and this drink wasn't even as good as a gas station. I'm a huge espresso lover. I have a fancy machine at home but I love to support coffee shops when I'm out running errands. There are very rare times that I have negative comments. Sadly, this was one of those rare occasions. On the bright side- clean restrooms & fun art on the walls. And I was able to snap some cute shots with a retro filter.

The entire place is so well decorated and if you look around there's tons of fun details and decor. The menu is made up of a map and they provide everyone with their own personal flashlight to see it. When you order certain drinks, it triggers various special effects. At times, it felt like an adult rainforest cafe with changing sounds and lights. Our server went above and beyond to make our experience great, going all out with his special effects and overall sassiness. An Amazing Team-Building Experience at The Trap!…read more We came back after 11 months, and we had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Trap! Our two Parsons offices, the Downtown Orlando office and the Altamonte Springs office, came together for a team-building event, and everyone had an amazing time. A very special thank you to Miriam for all her assistance in planning our activity. Her cordiality, professionalism, and willingness to help throughout the entire process certainly did not go unnoticed. She made everything so easy and was always available to assist us. We also want to give a huge shout-out to Austin, the Manager, who went above and beyond to make sure our group was having a great time and that everyone was well taken care of. His attention and hospitality truly made a difference. And what can we say about the extraordinary Ian, Bryh, and Morgan? You were all awesome! You made the axe-throwing experience fun, exciting, and memorable for everyone. A special thank-you as well to Paola at the bar, who kept everything running smoothly, and to Yen and Lala, who provided excellent service throughout our visit. To the entire team at The Trap, thank you! Your energy, professionalism, friendliness, and attention to our group made this an amazing experience from beginning to end. We are truly grateful that we chose The Trap for our team-building event. Bringing together the Downtown Orlando and Altamonte Springs Parsons teams was a wonderful experience, and your team helped make it a memorable one. Thank you, Miriam, Austin, Ian, Bryh, Morgan, Paola, Yen, Lala, and the entire Trap team! We appreciate everything you did for us and look forward to visiting again in the future. Highly recommended!

Real good vibes. Orlando obviously has no shortage of places to eat, drink, and gather, but Alfie's belongs to that rare category of venues that feel equally at home in a major metropolis. It's the kind of spot that would fit seamlessly into Los Angeles's best neighborhoods: think Gold Line in Highland Park or the Vinyl Room at the Hollywood Palladium. Not because they're carbon copies, but because they share that intangible quality of genuine discovery and cultural curiosity. The crowd ( age range 25 - 35 mostly ) was genuinely engaged with one another. People were actually talking, actually present, not hunched over their phones. That alone felt invigorating. There was an undeniable spark in the room. Alfie's wasn't chasing trends; it was simply allowing them to emerge naturally. What impressed me most was how they brought it all together .. Retro stereo equipment and vinyl players from the 50s mixed with a bar area that's super sleek and modern. Conversations, music, the lounge itself .... all came together in a way that felt alive and IN THE MOMENT. When my LA friends visit, Alfie's is on the list. Go after 9 or 10 PM and plan to stay for at least two hours. That's when you really see the scene develop and come alive. Bring your ID: they card at the door. Even at my age, I still get carded. However, we initially entered to get a picture in the photobooth for our friends birthday. There was no one at the door checking IDs. After we all piled into the photobooth, someone walked up and asked for our IDs. He wanted us to exit the booth to get them. Eventually said ok because we had already paid and on a timer. But he was very impatient. Let me add that there was not a single person in the entire place. NO ONE. Let me also add that almost our entire group is almost 40. So we're obv not underage. With the way he approached us and was completely impatient, we were a little turned off and left. Which lost them money on our entire group. He followed us out the door as we left. It was a weird experience especially when there was literally no one else in there. The music was good but I doubt and of us will to back based on that experience alone.
