Often times there's no soap in the soap dispensers in the men's room, the men's urinal, there's only one, hasn't been working for six weeks, machines breakdown and they don't fix them, and pads where you put your legs or arms are totally worn through the vinyl deep into the padding, and it will stay like that for months, and still nobody is replacing those. Absolutely pathetic.

For that reason and other factors, I canceled my membership, but I was charged for months afterwards. To keep this short, when I called to ask for a refund, the staff were friendly, but it ultimately is up to the manager, who is currently Josh, to issue a refund. Josh is very hard to reach - he's always "busy" (at least, that's what it feels like he instructs his staff to say). He made several false promises to me about my refund being on its way and when I asked him to send over documentation, he said "You don't believe me?" and he never sent over a single document. In the end, it took me 15 phone calls and 6 months to obtain my refund. His email is gm@crunchmadison.com but I wouldn't expect a response. Your best bet is to ask for him directly when you call or to physically stop in the gym and wait for him to come out of his office.

He is very mindful of my previous injuries and watches closely to make sure I'm doing each exercise with good form. I used to get bored of repetitive workouts, but with Corey I feel like each day is different. I'm feeling stronger than ever. He offers family friendly workout classes, which my kids adore. There is a rock wall, peg board and an activity corner for the kids. They're always enthusiastic to go exercise with Corey, and I love how he encourages fitness through play. Gold stars all around. They are both circuit training kind of classes, and the class sizes range depending on which class you go to. I appreciated that the instructors helped to correct my form and give pointers so I both maximize my workout and prevent injury. I also liked that the classes I went to all had less than 6 people, which may sound scary at first, but it certainly fosters a sense of community among the attendees to cheer each other on and get through the workout together. Whether you're new to working out or a seasoned veteran, I think there's something for everyone here and it is worth your time to take a class and decide that for yourself, but I know that I'll most certainly be back!
