The worst, most mismanaged store I've ever encountered. Staff is not trained, owner manager is rude. Avoid at all costs.

I was talked into doing RAGBRAI, so I pulled my bike out to start training and quickly realized I…read morehad a puncture in my slime tires. I rode it down to Savage Bicycles to see what they could do, and from the moment I walked in, I was impressed. I was greeted by Caden, who was incredibly friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He recommended a few smart upgrades to make sure my bike would be safe and comfortable for the ride, but there was absolutely no high-pressure sales vibe, which I loved. I also explained that I'd be leaving town and wouldn't be able to pick my bike up until Monday, and they had no problem storing it for a couple of days. Their communication truly can't be beat. I received a detailed quote up front and consistent updates throughout the process. The best part was finding out the final upgrade cost was actually cheaper than originally quoted. What impressed me most, though, was the staff as a whole. While I was there, someone came in with a mountain bike looking for parts, another customer was interested in a triathlon bike, and no one had to wait around for "the right person" to help them. Every staff member clearly knows their stuff when it comes to all types of bikes. That level of knowledge across the entire team is rare. I could go on forever, but I'll keep it simple: I totally recommend Savage Bicycles. Outstanding service, great communication, and a team that genuinely cares about getting you on the road safely and confidently.

The experience we had was by far the best out of the 3. First off they actually had a large selections of bikes from multiple manufacturers and styles in store and second the employees were helpful, patient, knowledgeable and friendly. Both of the other stores we visited only had a few bikes in stock and typically only one brand. Also their employees were not attentive, friendly or they seemed bothered to answer questions. Savage is now my go to bike store event those the others I had visited are so much closer to me. I will be recommending Savage to anyone looking for a new bike or service on their existing one.

My neighbor Mr. G is starting his first jobs. Earning what I think is pretty good money…read more Got first jobs im the USA? what do you do? Spend Money! Mr. G's first desire? He blew one payday 100% taking his friends on a bowling? Eating? Game playing spree? I'm not sure. This time he wanted a bike. Wheels. Transportation. Independence. For weeks he's talked about when he gets paid and his new bike. Would I help him pick it up? We scoped out a nearby bike shop. He switched to a pawn shop on his bus route home. Today was Thursday Sit and Chat, 2:30-4 pm Corner on the Market. He loves it because people enjoy him. Plus food and Independence! On the journey home was Grey Matter Bike Shop. We stopped to investigate. You donate a bike, they refurb it. Proceeds from used bike sales are donated to Barrow Neurologic Hospital. The owner's son died from brain cancer. Barrow treated him. The owner is paying back by healing old bicycles and donating the profit.. They also have a full showroom of fine electric and pedal powered bicycles at standard pricing. Plus excellent repair and service staff. Mr. G wanted a bike with a wide, comfortable seat. Sit and Chat Dave advised him to pick a bike short enough to not injure his groin areas when putting both feet on the pavement. We found a One Speed coaster brake cruiser, semi-fat tires. Simple to ride and repair. Wide, supportive seat. Built for comfort. Nearly new, brand new rear tire. $125.00. We pick it up tomorrow ar 10 am.

Finally a bike shop I feel like I can trust. Took my recent build bike to them to finish it off. Quoted me pretty in par with other bike shops and was done the next day.
