This place was a great bar that me and my friends checked out at while we're in the area going bar to bar. They have a nice pool table and a game of darts you can play as well. It's not a big bar but it's a comfortable size establishment if I were to say. They still open pretty late and to get a great crowd. Drink prices are fair but if you come here with a large party you need to double check your bill because accidents do happen here when it comes to potentially splitting your bill or stuff being randomly added to your bill. A very fun bar in Lake Geneva. I came here twice while visiting. The bartender on Tuesday night was working alone but she was paying attention to every patron at the bar. The drinks can be a bit pricy but it was worth the money. They play a range of different music. The crowd is diverse but overall not too bad. Couldn't of had a better time at Thumbs Up! We came in for their black light glow party and it was an absolute blast. The bartenders were quick and friendly, pouring drinks so fast that there was never much of a wait despite the place being packed. Visited here from out of town. I was completely sober, I don't drink. I was tipping the bartenders well and talking with a few of the locals when an extremely rude security guy told me that he was kicking me out, that "I was asked to leave"... I'm professional, respectful and usually get along with everyone. I own a retail store and a cocktail lounge in Milwaukee and have NEVER been treated with such unwarranted disrespect. Stopped in a week ago to before a nail appt...It was not busy so Amanda was the bartendress.. I had to ask her name .instead of her introducing herself...had one drink and left. ..Came in with a girlfriend. the next week ....ordered one beer,,,my glass was empty..and Amanda did not come over to check on us during the whole time..a birthday party came in and the bar staff was doing shots with them and still ignored us sitting at the end of the bar...even walking past us and not looking.....I was waiting for someone to come and ask if we would like something else..but never did ...so I waited to get someone's attention but the two bar maids never looked our way...so I finally got up and walked around the bar and waved to get Amanda's attention to close my bill..I told her I had been ignored and her excuse was "don't you see the bar is full!!!"..and went on to say .." do you think you are more important than the birthday party.".??!! ....I explained that I too was a paying customer and even if a bar is very busy she should check on her customers that have been there first before the party arrived...but she spewed nasty comments at me and told me I was not welcome there......she is very unprofessional., nasty and rude and more interested in doing shots with her friends ....she totally has shown me she knows nothing about how to engage and take care of a customer that is a local..and would have become a regular patron....Low class taverns just aren't my style.....I also own a business in town....and I know how to cultivate my customers and clearly these employees..don't care....so.. What the....what is this place? Looking to expand our horizons, we wandered over to this place one night, and mmmm, quickly wandered back out after one quick, bizarre round. It's a dive bar playing loud clubby oom-cha music with a weird clientele mix doused in Axe body spray or cheap perfume or just smelly.... Trashy as all get out (the bar itself, not necessarily the people) yet....I don't know. I was trying to find something nice to say. We're not dive bar averse in any way, we prefer them, but this.....we don't know what the heck this was. Our bartender was all sorts of tweaked out on extracurriculars, ignored us for a bit, momentarily tried to be friendly then decided she didn't like us. It was weird watching that all unfold. Several service industry people here, bitching and whining and complaining about their jobs and customers and lives. Yeah, a little unpleasant. Bathrooms are down a long staircase in the basement and creepy. What tipped our visit over the edge into freaky no thank you we are leaving now was some other tweaked out chick and her pals crawling all over the bar, spread eagle and butt in the air and um, yup.
