I wanted Pho, but is Monday and Pho Mignon was closed so walked a few feet down the sidewalk. I ordered the "lunch special" Phad Thai. I also said 3 out of a possible 4 on the spicy range. It was really spicy for a 3, but I didn't see chili oil or chili garlic sauce on the table, so went for it. The serving size was adequate, however for a lunch special, there was no rice, no soup or salad. Tasted good, but I expected more.

The wonton soup did taste salty but wonton was good

Restaurants is starting to look old and a little unkempt. In addition the spice rack gives a feeling of very dirty. The server lady was very nice and the menu was big but we only had the wonton soup because other pictures did not look appetizing. The wonton soup tasted salty but the wonton was good. However I kind of wonder how fresh it was. Anyhow I wish they would refresh the restaurant and make it more clean.

I have been coming to what I deem is the best Thai restaurant on the Eastside. Placed my order over the phone as they offer only take out due to the corona virus epidemic. They hope to get back to full service once the restrictions are lifted. As for the food, the drunken noodles w/tofu was delicious. Tried a new dish Kao Soi which is a curried dish w/ noodles minus the coconut milk. This dish was good but not the same as one that Little Uncle used to offer. I like my dishes . For the novice, I would advise against going with 4 level heat. Met the owners daughter for the first time. She was very cheerful and offered free Krispy Kreme donuts. She mentioned that business of late has been slow which is sad but something that Elites can fix! Give them a try. I bet you won't be disappointed.

Such huge portions!! The seasonings and spices definitely taste authentic, and the dishes we had were very filling. My drunken noodles had a lot of veggies, which I typically wouldn't like but this still tasted good! I do taste msg in it, as I was thirsty after - but the way the dishes are cooked tasted pretty home mad. I do wish they have a smokier smell from the char (usually how other Thai places cook their dishes), as it could have tasted better with a higher temp used when cooking

Thumra Thai is located in the strip mall behind QFC in Totem Lake. The interior is small and cozy with a limited number is tables. I found the food itself to be okay, but not great. The portion size is smaller than other Thai restaurants, which would be fine if the taste and flavor were superior. I visited during the massive romaine lettuce recall, and while other food-based businesses had removed it from their menu or shelves, Thumra brought it out as a side salad with peanut sauce, which I found very concerning. During my particular visit, I was one of two tables in the restaurant, and we (and the other table) had to walk to the back to get our server's attention when we wanted to pay and leave since they hadn't come back to check on us since bringing out the food.

The food tasted delicious and the service was great. The ambiance is an abundance of joy and laughter with families, friends and co-workers. It's a small place, but with big flavors.

Decent Thai food served in a matter-of-fact and expedient manner. No fun or flair but the food is fine.

The host was very quiet and although I didn't hear him, luckily my daughter did. I asked for a five star curry with Salmon, but they informed me that they could only do three stars so ordered the three star curry, a side of spicy sauce and rice. My daughter ordered the Phad See Eiw with tofu. The server delivered the wrong noodle dish, I immediately said that it wasn't what we ordered; she ignored me, dropped it off and left for the next table where they informed her that she had swapped the dishes. The salmon was quite good, seared and crispy around the edges. The curry wasn't spicy at all, so I had to add the full side of spicy sauce. The spicy sauce made it spicy enough, but it was sour. I tried to explain this to the server; instead of hearing me out she immediately brought more spicy sauce. Finally I was able to get them to cook the curry with the spicy sauce making it less sour and the flavor was good. The rice was definitely insufficient for the amount of curry ordered, which I found strange given how cheap rice is. I tried my daughters noodles. They use a cheaper oil and added lots of sugar, making it a sub par dish. We also ordered a young coconut, but it wasn't that young and the meat was hard. At $12 for an item that costs $1.50 I was underwhelmed. Overall the dishes were hit and miss, and the service was sub par. Try it at your own risk.

A few tables were occupied and the aroma of Thai food filled the air. The decor is minimalist. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Red Curry, both with Chicken for a buck more. In my opinion, these are the 2 basic dishes in Thai cuisine that really separate the good ones from the great ones. Since I make both these dishes at home with store bought ingredients, I was looking for a restaurant experience with house made ingredients. and Hanuman Thai did not disappoint. At a spice level 4, the Pad Thai was still mild. I would have preferred that they serve the mixings like bean sprouts and peanuts on the side. They missed serving a lime wedge which we had to ask for. I would say the dish was a 3 out of 5. I would have liked a bit more green onions and chicken. The red curry was a totally different experience. Spice Level 4 came through just fine with the addition of bird pepper. The flavor was great with the right amount of coconut milk to red curry paste ratio. It came with complementary Jasmine rice. 5/5 for this fabulous dish. Definitely a home run Thai cuisine with good service though a bit expensive but what is not in this day and age. They get tons of take out orders, so service might be a bit slow as they run a skinny operation. I would certainly go back to try the other items on their menu.

We're certainly not Thai experts - we've eaten at a lot of Thai places in the US, but couldn't tell you what makes authentic vs Americanized. Compared to other places, the Pad See Ewe was pretty plain - underspiced, underflavored. Not bad, but it had no depth, no darkness or umami from the sauce, nearly bland. The crispy rolls were luke warm inside, and it was also a bland mush. I was pouring the sauce inside just to get a little flavor but still no saving the poor consistency. The rangoons were OK. The flavor of the filling was good, but we each preferred a thicker wrapper to balance the creaminess. This was an extremely thin crisp wrapper so you're just eating chunks of crabby cream cheese. Hey, if that is what you're here for then you're in luck. I always get Pad See Ewe my first time at a Thai place.just to measure relative quality. Maybe that isn't their power dish, but their menu says it is one of their most popular.

Fern Thai is one of the rare exceptions. Everything I've ordered here has been phenomenal, making it my absolute go-to spot to take friends and family for a guaranteed great meal. The Highlights: * great ambiance * Pad Thai: At most restaurants, Pad Thai feels like a waste of money, but here it is worth every single penny. * Gai Tod Hat Yai: An all-time favorite dish! You get a deep-fried half chicken served with flaky roti, panang curry sauce, sweet chili sauce, and a fresh cucumber salad on the side. (Note: The chicken breast can occasionally have its tender vs. slightly tougher days, but the flavors overall are unbeatable). * Beef Pad See Ew: Generous with the protein and broccoli, unlike other spots that give you 95% noodles. * Crab Fried Rice: Phenomenal execution with incredible, smoky wok hei. * * * Specialty Seafood Dishes: Highly recommend ordering off their specialty menu. The seafood plates are packed with crazy amounts of umami and have the perfect rich saltiness when paired with rice. Only lowlight: as for any good restaurants in greater seattle area, the wait can be long. I'd suggest avoiding peak time. I try to order something new every time I visit because every dish delivers.
