I have to stop here every time I'm in Kirkland now & get my mom two orders of hot & sour soup! It's the best hot & sour soup we've ever had..... & we've tried them all!!!! Today I added the cashew chicken lunch special for myself. This huge heaping box of food will last me at least three meals! Great China, you do not disappoint!!!

We love coming here on Christmas Eve! I got the combination F with hot & sour soup, orange chicken and bbq pork fried rice. Service is fast and I really enjoy the free hot tea. Hot & sour soup: 10/10. Hits the spot every time! Orange chicken: 8/10. Very large pieces of chicken. Tastes really similar to general tso's to me. Wish it was a little more tangy. Pork fried rice: 10/10. Pairs great with sweet and sour sauce.

Best (American) Chinese food ever, year after year! Same owner and food for as long as I can remember. The only place I always order the same combo meal. It's fried, traditional, all-American Chinese food. The kind you would expect to have found in the early 2000s if that makes sense lol.

Dishes: Salt and pepper chicken and chicken fried rice (extra spicy) Portions: great The salt and pepper chicken was good, and crunchy. The fried rice was extremely bland, felt like eating boiled rice with almost no flavor. In addition I had asked for it to be extra spicy. If this is extra spicy, then I wonder would normal level not even have salt? Fried is a basic staple that a Chinese restaurant shouldn't have difficulty making well. Minus 3 stars for failing to make an easy dish. When the Americanized Panda Express can make better fried rice than a Chinese restaurant charging much higher prices, then you know something is off. Can't say I'll be back here unless food dramatically improves and more effort goes into making the food.

This place has the best Chinese food I have ever had. Totally get the spring rolls. They are homemade. They are not frozen and reheated. You must get them. The vegetable chow mein was also amazing.

    Fried rice

This was the worst Chinese food. From the customer service, to the fried rice. The pot stickers taste like rubber. The fried rice tasted like over cooked box rice.

Moo Shu pork?? More like sautéed cabbage

Order via QR code at the table and pay there, or I think you can order at the front counter. They bring the food to your table. Self serve water, cutlery and small bowls. Menu is mainly noodles and rice. They have dishes from different Chinese cuisines, but are more known for Hunan-style. My friend from Hunan recommended I get the beef combo rice noodle soup. I got the default wide noodles, but you can pick the thinner round noodles. Came out pretty quickly after ordering. Decent sized bowl, with a variety of beef offal pieces like tripe, tendon, maybe even intestine along with some meat pieces. Also has daikon and bok choy. The soup is slightly spicy and peppery, but not overly so. Nice savory flavor. Price was $20+ with tax and tip. Solid place for a quick bowl of noodles or rice.

Whoa! This place is so close to my office and I never knew about it!!…read more I got the pickled long beans dish and I think from what I saw was the only one that had "enough" vegetables-- the others were very meat focused/biased. It was interesting that they hid the bokchoy on the bottom of the bowls- I wonder if they were raw and only cooked with the dish poured on top? But the food was delicious and the broth was great and the price was fine and I would be happy to come back here if I had reason to. (My office...gives me food, so I'm not all that likely to come here on a weekday, unfortunately.) We came as a large party, and the only large party seating they have is on bar stools, which isn't my favorite. But they have plenty of small ones for 2-4 people!

The colorful wall murals are gone. The bowls used to serve noodle dishes are now HUGE and DEEP, leading some to say portion sizes are not generous. That is not correct. They are plentiful. You're just getting your noodles in a gargantuan bowl. Service is acceptable, but just barely. It's often negligent. I ended up getting up to get my own new set of chopsticks when I had an issue with mine and some extra napkins because the server was too focused on playing with the TV stations (which they were two or three times while we were there). You order from a QR code and pay in advance--including tip--now. The food is still very good. Noodles are great. They've also gotten creative and gone a bit overboard there with the addition of colored noodles, which I did not try. Dumplings have gone creative too. The flavors are very good, and the dumplings are well made. The colors for the dumplings make a bit more sense than for the noodles, but I still find the whole idea a little much. Still solid noodle dishes. Maybe a tiny bit less balanced and authentic than when they opened, but the noodles are well made. Flavors are good. Will definitely return, but I just hope they don't eventually lose their way by trying to be different and trendy instead of reliable and fun.

However, I can only assume that most patrons are assumed to be regulars so the basics of welcoming you in and explaining menu and ordering protocols require getting the attention of the server. As it was our first time visiting, the menu off of the QR code was confusing as noodle options show at the top "let's meet our noodles" with $0, followed by menu items with prices. All can be selected and added to your cart however we found out later that they are only there to show you noodle options for the dishes below. There is ample seating, however the bathroom is gender neutral and could do with a deep cleaning and a sign that asks people to put the seat down after use. Perhaps take-out next time. First thing I noticed when I looked at the menu was that the prices are very LA, but before you let that deter you, hear me out: the portion sizes are significantly larger than what you'd get for the same price back home. So in terms of value, you're actually getting a much better deal out here in Redmond. One thing that genuinely caught me off guard; they let me bring my puppy. If you're from LA or the 626, you already know that's basically unheard of. Redmond, Washington is on a whole different level when it comes to being pet friendly, and I loved every second of it. As for the food, it was great overall. The mala wasn't too numbing, which I appreciated, it had just enough kick without overwhelming everything else. The garlic a-choy was perfect, honestly no notes. The braised pork belly was good but I wished it was a touch softer, and I personally felt like my dishes could've used a little more salt or soy sauce, but that's an easy fix and purely personal preference. Would definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Noodle Nine delivers a genuinely authentic dining experience that feels like stepping into a slice…read moreof everyday Asia rather than a polished, commercialized version of it. From the moment you walk in, the cultural atmosphere stands out--many of the patrons are Asian, and on my visit, a few were even dressed in traditional garments, which added a vibrant, lived-in feel to the space. It's the kind of detail you can't manufacture, and it speaks volumes about the restaurant's credibility within the community. The interior itself is fairly average--nothing particularly modern or upscale--but it doesn't detract from the experience. If anything, it keeps the focus where it belongs: on the food. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. There were only two servers handling the floor, and they were clearly stretched thin. Ordering is done digitally, which helps streamline things, but you can still feel the strain during peak times. That said, the food started arriving quickly--our tofu noodle dish came out almost immediately, while the beef dish lagged behind a bit. Presentation leans traditional in a charming way. The plates and chopsticks have that classic, no-frills aesthetic that complements the overall vibe of the restaurant. Now, let's talk about the food. First, a word of caution: spice levels here are no joke. If you're sensitive to heat, you'll want to dial it down. But if you can handle it, the flavors are absolutely worth it--rich, bold, and deeply satisfying. The tofu was exceptionally soft, almost silky, and clearly freshly prepared. The noodles matched that texture perfectly--tender, well-cooked, and comforting. Pricing is another strong point. For the quality and portion sizes, it's very reasonable, making it an easy spot to revisit without hesitation. Overall, Nine Noodles is a great pick if you're looking for authentic flavors, a culturally immersive atmosphere, and solid value. It's not about fancy decor or polished service--it's about good, honest food. I'd definitely come back.
