This has quickly become one of my favorite spots when in the Old Colorado City area. I have been here for drinks several times over the years and never wrote a review (Sorry friends! Hope this makes up for it a little bit) but in the last few months, we started bringing our dog here and also stopped for appetizers while walking around. Every food item we tried has been great. Chicken tenders are always my go-to and they're delicious here, the fries are crispy, and they have really good ranch (iykyk). Thank you for taking care of us!

DELICIOUS Brussels sprouts!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat in the front window to accommodate a car seat, which worked well for us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Meal portions were great for the price.. I found that I've come to expect a pretty measly amount of food for a hefty price, and was NOT disappointed as usual when our plates arrived, very full and very good looking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very chill lunch time but would love to come back on a weekend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wish I got a photo of the sprouts!!

We had a great experience stumbling upon this restaurant on our way home from Manitou Springs. The food was delicious, really great burger cooked perfectly. Also the truffle fries are a must. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went on a Tuesday night and decided to stay for trivia and it was so much fun, definitely would recommend trying it out![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Went to Thunder and Buttons on a Sunday around 1230 and had no problem getting seated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a small bar/restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress was really nice. She said there were some issues with the hood so they couldn't make anything on the grill. She came back shortly after saying everything was fine. I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken sandwich with Brussel sprouts. Everything was really good! My daughter ordered the mac n cheese and she didn't care for it much. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was kid friendly- they offered a coloring sheet with crayons.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I didn't have any drinks but there was a decent sized list to choose from. Parking was easy for us on the street. When in town, I would dine here again.

Here with my mom and step mom! Nice place with an inviting atmosphere . Hit this spot up on vacation for a nice bday dinner for my step mom. It was a nice place with old history. They said it was haunted upstairs lol so we stayed downstairs. We enjoyed our meal and left fully satisfied. It's def a great little spot for drinks, food and socializing.

Great food! Right in the heart of old colorado city. Started off with the balsamic glaze brussel sprouts. I also got the whiskey jam burger. It was all really good.

Food: We ordered a ton of food because we wanted to TRY IT ALL! This is what I had and shared with everyone: SESAME QUINOA LETTUCE WRAPS: BIBB LETTUCE CUPS FILLED WITH ORGANIC QUINOA, CABBAGE, CARROTS, TOSSED IN A SESAME PEANUT DRESSING TOPPED WITH EDAMAME AND CUCUMBER DRIZZLED WITH A SPICY AIOLI Then had: STEAK & TEQUILA LIMESHRIMP. 100Z NI STRIP TOPPED WITH TEQULA LIME SHRIMP SCAMPI SERVED WITH ROASTED GARLIC MASHED POTATOES AND FAITA VEGETABLES Lastly had: BLACK & TAN BROWNIE OCC CREAMERY VANILLA ICE CREAM DRIZZLED WITH CHOCOLATE SYRUP By far, one of the best meals I've ever had! The starter was so light and so fresh! My main entree was cooked perfectly and seasoned well! And the dessert was top 3 I've ever had! Service: The service here was definitely top 3 I've ever experienced. All the staff is so friendly and so accommodating. Our server Susan was absolutely the best server I've experienced in a long time. She was so personable and so accomodating. She went out of her way multiple ways to accomodate both of our tables. She also gave the best food recommendations Ambiance: It was perfect for what we came for! They have 2 levels! The first level was a bar/restaurant and had seating to accommodate our large party! We were looking to watch the basketball game and got a booth right across the TV so it was perfect! Then the upstairs was for 21+ with pool tables and more bar seating. They also had Kareoke the day we came! Which was kinda cool! Overall: 100000000/10 I would absolutely recommend this gem to all my family and friends! From the tasty food, to the impeccable service and not to the mention the lively and fun ambiance!

Inside it kinds looked like a bar but there were tables and booths around along with outside seating. I thought the bathrooms were really nice, unique decor but fitting, spacious and comfortable. I was greeted by Peter, great guy, who took the time to explain to me what that all the food was vegan and non-GMO and answered all my questions about the menu. I ordered the Messy Sloppy burger which came with corn chowder soup and the Sloppy Mac and Cheese and they were not only delicious but hardy as well. Although the portions could've been a little more but it was pretty filling that I had to take the Mac and cheese in a Togo box. I would like to try more of their menu and it was a plus to know they make their own plant based protection except the few items that mention are made with Beyond Burger. But I was pleasantly surprised and definitely would like to come again.

My husband asked to have another table and she seemed happy to accommodate. The place was nearly empty after all. The vibe is pretty cool. It has cool old-timey brick walls and a tin ceiling ... Colorado mountain town feel for sure. Our server was friendly and professional. We ordered and got our drinks fairly quickly. My bloody mary was enjoyable. I ordered the breakfast quesadillas. They had a good amount of filling, eggs, crispy bacon, onion, pico de gallo. I asked for a side of extra pico. I was surprised that they don't have a salsa. Oh well. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito. It's his standard order. He says that of all the breakfast burritos he's eaten ... and it's an impressive amount ... this one was the best ever. The green chili that it was smothered in had a bit of heat which appreciated. The burrito was very generously stuffed. Best. Breakfast Burrito. Ever. WOW. That's quite the compliment. The prices were decent. Service quick. Food great. We'll be back.

This weekend though, I ordered the chicken and waffles, which was one of my favorites, check the previous photos, it was AMAZING! This time, with the new menu, I would not ever order them again. The chicken was a not close to what it used to be or could be on a sandwich and be worthy to serve, it less than a 1/2in thick including the breading, the small waffles were soggy, and it was just unappetizing to look at on top of it. The syrup saved it, but that's saying a lot as it's just syrup... I really was looking forward to the chicken and waffles that used to be here as that was the entire reason for brunch here today, and I'll not order this again if this is what it is now. The steak Benedict was great though and well enjoyed by my wife, she loved it and the steak was perfectly cooked. We've been here 15-20 times and this was the only disappointing time since the ownership change or whatever took place. Unfortunate as we love it here, but this was not at the level it was before.

If you're sitting at the bar you can see the window where your food comes up -- our salad and fries both sat there about ten minutes before anyone brought them the ten feet over to us. Not a huge deal, but it's a little cruddy sitting there thinking "I'm pretty sure that's ours" and waiting. The ambiance is very dark, with a lot of stairs up and down -- you head into sort of a basement-type area. Everything I saw was clean and nice. It's a cool, funky spot to take a date or hit for happy hour, so the vibe and ambiance are definitely spot on for that. Signature cocktails -- all fine. Not the best thing ever, but solid. I'd have them again. Side salad -- good. The ranch is made in house and very flavorful, and the salad was actually loaded with veggies. French fries with garlic aioli -- a bit of a letdown. We didn't even finish them. They came out okay, just a little dry, and the aioli itself wasn't very good -- we didn't really like it. Pro tip: The entrées looked pricey, which is why we stuck to snacking at the bar -- and after the fries came out, we were fine calling it there and eating elsewhere. Overall, would recommend for happy hour, and would return.
