    Turkey pot pie

We came here due to a recommendation for their bannock. It was really underwhelming. Cafe is located in the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre. Really unassuming place. We ordered the chilli and the turkey pot pie. Overall was just meh, felt like I was eating cold-ish food from a school cafeteria. Not surprised it's now closed.

Locals secret, hidden gem. Delicious food, beautiful building, friendly staff. Affordable and peaceful. If you're looking to stop for a coffee and treat, or for lunch - don't miss the Thunderbird Cafe. Their salmon chowder is the best I've ever had, which is served with a big chunk of bannock. I also love their coffee and bannock donuts. Forget the chain restaurants and coffee shops, this place is the real deal.

Their strawberry-rhubarb bannock donut with custard was my favorite donut I remember eating. I don't remember having a donut with that much filling. Of course, as it was bannock, the donut part was heavier, but I was expecting that. Bursting with filling. So good.

Provisions is definitely a popular, buzzing spot in the morning! I noticed tons of people ordering…read moretheir breakfast sandwiches--which looked great--but for me, the tater tots were calling my name. I am so glad I went with my gut because they were incredible! They came out perfectly hot, nice and crispy, and were tossed in a seriously flavorful sauce that took them to the next level. The space itself has a few tables if you want to sit and enjoy your food, along with a super convenient self-serve water station. Definitely a great, lively little spot to kickstart your morning--don't skip the tots!

Another 1 star review for the laptop issue. It's their prerogative to have whatever policy they…read morelike, but they could not have handled it any worse. They have a tiny sign hidden behind the water faucet, so small that I didn't see it in two visits to the place. About 20 minutes in, I was made aware of the no laptop rule and put it off to the side. At this point I hadn't even finished drinking my coffee or eating my pastry. As soon as I was done with them, the same boss lady came over and basically asked me to leave because "there were families looking for a table." She even had the audacity to tell me to "read the room." At this point it had been 42 minutes since I entered the establishment and about a half hour since I received my order. I was seated at the smallest table in the place and not taking up much space at all. It would have been tough for even two people to squeeze in to the table where I was seated. Adding insult to injury, in between my two interactions with the boss, a customer rudely asked when I would be leaving. It took all my strength to politely offer to share the table with her, but she just said she wanted the whole thing to herself. So in the span of about 20-25 minutes I had 3 separate conversations trying to justify my existence at this tiny table. It was unreal and I honestly thought I may have been on some hidden camera television show. This place basically wants to take your money and then rush you out so they can get more people in there. I understand the obvious dollars and cents motivation for this, but it's crass and callous and completely unbecoming of even a small town coffee shop. I travel about 200 days a year and I've been to literally hundreds of terrible coffee shops, but I've never in my life been treated this poorly as a paying customer. Maybe just place a big sign informing everyone of a time limit on how long they can sit. Or at least tell the guy who walks in with a laptop bag and blatantly sets up his laptop that he can't hang out there (like I said I was unaware of the policy so obviously wasn't hiding anything). I would have paid double, even treble, to just be informed in advance so I could patronize a different local business in Whistler and avoid that experience.

So far We've tried a few breakfast items, sandwiches, quiche, as well as a bunch of baked goods, all of which are delicious. They serve happy hour between 3 to 6 for various drinks, and some of their baked goods are on sale between 2 and 3 to make room for more items between the morning and evening rush. They also have delicious sparkling water on tap, which is super refreshing. Highly recommend a visit here.

That 62 degree egg and greens were spectacular! mmhmm. But see what can make it more spectacular! Cousin Sandwich! Short rib, scrambled egg, Dijon on a brioche. Hearty! Wow! Tastymite Scroll! It has Vegemite! And Vegemite is an acquired taste with the exception of the added magic in the Tastymite! Because it was gooooood as promised by Lauren! And of course a side of bacon! Nothing says American more than bacon and so you knew I made the Alpha Salad out of this world good by adding the bacon! Oat Dulce De Leche Latte. My oh my and oo lala. That is the drink to order! We loved the coffee and crepes so much that this was our go to breakfast or midday snack spot the whole trip! The coffee was perfect every time, we also tried several of the crepes and waffles and also affogato with caramel gelato. I guess my expectations were a little too high and my eyes ordered more than I should have. Ordered 2 cinnamon rolls and a long John. I was quite disappointed in both. The cinnamon rolls were quite dry and not enough ooey gooey cinnamon, butter and sugar filling. The frosting doesn't quite melt either. It was only when you got to the center was when the cinnamon rolls were soft with filling. The other parts are just dry and flavorless. The long John was also underwhelming. They used the same frosting as the cinnamon rolls inside the long John. I guess I'm used to more of a custard filling. Sadly, I'm still in search of a great cinnamon roll in Whistler.
