I ordered the egg & cheese croissant with turkey bacon, and I have to say I was not expecting the croissant to be this good. I was able to taste all of the flavors within the sandwich from the egg to the bacon and the greens. I also ordered a chocolate pistachio croissant for dessert to enjoy at home, Saj offers an abundant amount of seating, inside and outside as well as a private room for any work meetings you would like to have with your colleagues. Unfortunately, it didn't taste fresh or flavorful. The texture was dry and fibrous, and the large chunks made it less enjoyable. The tuum ("garlic fluff") was super garlicky and they brought out some delicious pillowy bread to go with it. This bread was awesome with the garlic, but elevated even more when combined with our soups... more on that later. I ordered a lunch special, which looked a bit pricey at roughly $17, but it was worth every penny. As to the sides, it was a generous portion of really tender rice/almonds and some of the best lentil soup I've ever had (and when I asked for extra lemon, the excellent server brought me a legit bowl of lemon wedges - made be very happy!). My young son didn't like his "lamb chili" so I inherited it by default - and it was fantastic. Not bland but not overly spicy, with some beans and big on the flavors. The main attraction was the chicken shawarma, though. A large pile of rotisserie chicken - this was the real deal shaved-off-a-rotisserie, not prepackaged nonsense. Some chunks were thick, some were thin and crispy, and the entire thing was amazing. There are 20 more things on this menu I'd like to try - I started with the chicken shawarma because it tends to be a "bellweather" of sorts for whether a place delivers with quality - so I'm going to be begging my wife to meet me there for lunch a few more times this summer. This restaurant is located in a plaza that could be missed. Inside it is clean and there are a few tables available for eating in.
