Had a great meal here on Saturday evening to celebrate Father's Day. It was the first time for me, but my parents are huge fans of coming here. Now I can see why! I started with the bourbon smash (delicious!) and the roasted tomato soup, which was flavorful and not too heavy despite it being a warm summer day. The rest of my party had salads, which they said were really tasty. For entrees, we all had the filet mignon. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the sides were absolutely fantastic... a little twist on the usual steak and potatoes. The potato and cheese croquettes were crispy but light, and I always love to see rainbow chard--especially when it's cooked with bacon. Our service was excellent too. Let's call this more like 4.5 stars. I've been to their old location and loved that. So the wife and I finally got to check out this place. Finding parking was a bit difficult. I guess that is expected in downtown Medina. Once parked, we went in and got seated right away. We went to the casual dining pub downstairs. There is finer dining upstairs with a full dinner menu. We tried some some burgers and they were delicious! Cooked to order perfectly, sharp cheddar, and thick crisp bacon topped with fat, non-greasy, sweet onion rings...... Heaven... The fresh cut fries were also really good. We are definitely going to come back and try the fine dining as well. I'll update when we do that! read more

Interesting place - I'd say service was great, our waitress was so kind and pretty attentive. I was shopping nearby so my group decided to come here for lunch. The grilled cheese was loaded with cheese.. like, way TOO much cheese.. 5 thick slices. The tomato bisque it comes with has a very smokey flavor and definitely wasn't my favorite. The Irish coffee was good - kept me nice and warm. Atmosphere was decent, a big small of a place. Menu was okay as well but mostly had cold features, and I really wanted something warm (hense the grilled cheese and soup)! Family got a steak salad which was pretty good , and also the pecan crusted chicken salad which was also pretty good. I would say it was about average food - nothing special I would come back for though, especially when I have other favorites in Medina. read more

We arrived before dinner / after lunch and was seated downstairs! We ordered their burgers and they were excellent! They had choices for vegetarians and even those on gluten free diets, which is excellent to know! They had extensive selection in drinks, alcohol or non, and the setting was quite nice! We'd like to try outdoor seating next time :) I did feel like we were lost in the shuffle, maybe a shift change or between mealtime threw the staff off, but other than that, it was an excellent experience! I went there with my best friend, and her family. I ordered the pear cosmo which is not something I would normally drink but I loved it. For my entree, I did the filet and it was like heaven. Cooked perfectly to medium rare but the sauce they make for the steak is seriously the best sauce I've ever had. We had an amazing server and we could kind of watch the chefs from a distance and I loved that part. You can tell everyone that works there is working very hard and efficiently. Seems to be a well organized staff. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone except my enemies, they don't deserve it! Just kidding, they can get take out! Lol read more

We were able to get seats in the bar on short notice. The burgers and salads were as good as advertised. Although the restaurant was very crowded due to an event in downtown Medina, the service was friendly and efficient. We will be back soon, to try the fine dining menu and service. read more

Thyme 2 used to be one of my favorites in town. I always order the same thing- bacon burger. All the sudden it's got a soggy bun and sitting in wetness, and the tomato jam is acidic and not sweet. Stopped going for awhile to support other local businesses instead. Went back after about a year or so and it was amazing. No soggy bun, sweet tomato jam, everything was back to perfect! Went again, it was awful. $55 for burgers and an app is alot of money when you don't know what you'll get from time to time. They claim it depends who's cooking it, it's "all made in house so it varies depending who makes it"- not a good excuse, it should be the same every time. I own a small business and I do good work each and every time. That's how you keep customers. Sad to say I will not be going back, they also do nothing to try to make it right. read more

Ate here with a friend on a recent Thursday night on the super cute patio. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. Sarah was our server and she was the best!!! She was knowledgeable of menu and drinks and even joked around with us. The executive chef even cane over a few times (Justin maybe) and he was fabulous! Food was spot on!! We shared the mussels and gnocchi. I had the watermelon cocktail and my friend had a jalapeño martini. Both were super awesome. This is such a quaint restaurant with the best food, drinks and staff. I love how they made us so welcome and didn't even kick us out at closing. I will be back here every time I'm in town. read more

This place is always a solid go to when looking for a reliable restaurant with quality dishes. The bar menu is a little light offering the flatbread and burger options one would expect. The upstairs restaurant is where you really get to find the gems. The chef's specials are always great and the food is cooked to perfection since the owner works in the kitchen. Sorry to say I am not a member of the Thyme 2 Fan Club. This review is based on two visits -- one upstairs; one downstairs. Generally we have found the food to be very good, but not outstanding. (During our visits the service was actually better than the food.) During the most recent visit we sat downstairs at a table where we got blasted with cold air during a very cool evening. We were told there was nothing they could do and that the HVAC system MUST throw that air out at customers to keep the place from getting smoky. There were no other seats where this could have been avoided, we were told by the very nice server. The fish would have been good except that the skin was fried. It both stunk and tasted nasty although the rest of the fish was delicious. (Silly me -- I believed the server when she said it was crusted. It wasn't.) Is the place good? Sure. Excellent? Uhh, no. Would we return? Yes -- if we could not find an alternative. read more

Dinner reservation for 4 on a Thursday night. Our table ordered quite the variety of drinks and entrees and everything was absolutely delicious (as each experience here has been). I highly recommend the peach blossom cocktail and butternut squash pasta. I've never tried a soup I didn't like and the grilled cheese on the pub menu is a long time fav of mine. Fine dining upstairs and pub dining downstairs. Take my advice - pub dining and get the grilled cheese. Everything is delicious, including the cocktails, but the grilled cheese will make you look like that emoji with hearts for eyes. (See fig. 1) Very crispy and gigantic. You'll definitely have leftovers, and if you reheat it at work, your co workers will get jealous. Very busy on weekends, and rightfully so. Nice selection of local beer too.
