Tia's is always a great stop when I don't want to cook. There always people there and a great place to have in town. It's very casual, but I think us locals like it that way. food was expensive. the menu on line is nothing like in the restaurant for lunch menu. It was a lot more expensive and the service SUCKED. I was a party of ONE... The staff ignored me. They were busy, yes, but my money is just as good as the other people. I had to ask for items, like another napkin, more salsa, no one actually came to my table to ask if I needed anything. I got into an argument with the lady at check out, must have been grandma. She called me rude and not in English. Then someone else came up front, and asked me to leave. Very rude people and I will never ever go there again. No one there speaks English. I would give it a zero star if I could. The staff is NOT FRIENDLY and rude. Don't be fooled by the age of the building. The food is absolutely amazing and wonderful staff. It's always busy when we have drove by and being new to the area we decided to try it. This is an incredibly popular new venue, and with good reason. It is bright and clean, and has cute decorations. The menu is familiar enough that it will appeal to traditionalists, but every dish has a twist. They serve what they call Mexi-Cajun, and specialize in seafood. I had the seafood enchiladas, which came with rice and charro beans, and my husband had the blackened snapper with mushroom sauce. All of the seafood was delicious and fresh, and not overcooked! (I was hesitant about eating seafood in land-locked Henderson, but they have other restaurants on the coast, so that was reassuring. I guess they get their stuff here from there??) The waitstaff was energetic and motivated (which is a welcome change from most locations). My only (tiny) criticism is that even though we were seated right at 11:00, the food came out not-quite-hot. I have no idea why they chose Henderson for the new venue, but I'm so glad they did! I don't even live in Henderson, but I'll make the drive from Longview to return! read more

Hands down the best Mexican food in 5 counties. If you live in Bryan or College Station it's worth the drive to Normangee. My favorite is the fajita chalupas. The salsa is to die for and the beer is cold. They have a humongous menu (bring your reading glasses tho) that sports non-mexican food items as well, plus a generous buffet from time to time. They're closed Mondays and at 3 on Sunday. read more
