Great little spot for quality tea and various treats. We ordered the osmanthus tea jelly, longjing green tea, and the surprising star of the show, the teaffogato. I was initially skeptical of the flavor pairings (pistachio ice cream, chrysanthemum tea), but they mesh together exceptionally well, and it contained a lot of interesting textures we really enjoyed. The longjing was brewed perfectly as well! Everything was served quickly and with care. Very nice staff. The interior is pretty cohesive in its furniture and decor, and would make for a great study spot or just somewhere to quietly relax and drink tea. Definitely recommend. read more

This is a really cool "experience" -- the teas are the stars of the show. They offer a lot of novel tea mixes that you can't find at the nearest boba shop. I was so surprised and delighted when the experience included choosing my own tiny tea cup. I've seen it super busy on a weekend, but never so bad you could'nt find a seat. They have a rotating experimental drink which is pretty cool. Sometimes they don't have menu items -- but I actually find that to be a good thing. It means stock isn't sitting around past it's quality date. Note -- the portions are a little small. It's more about the quality and the savoring of an experience -- rather than a giant drink. Also the AC is a little stronger and the bathrooms are pretty cold. But the Japanese toilet seats are heated! read more

I cannot believe it took me this long to visit this Columbus Park neighborhood gem! You walk in to a beautiful space that is obviously intentionally designed. The staff provided great recommendations and was patient with us as we made our decisions. I enjoyed the Toasted Sticky Rice drink - toasted upon ordering. It was such a nice flavor! I also ordered the ube cake. It had a a great texture, a beautiful color, and wasn't too sweet (my preference!). I cannot wait to come back soon to try other items on the menu. It's a hot weekend day in KC. It's 2pm and I want something refreshing but not coffee. Tian Tea House in Columbus Park is the answer. It's a gorgeous minimalist and calm place to chill, have a beverage and Zen out or have a quiet conversation with a friend. I tried two different iced drinks, The Jasmine Rose Tea and the Lychee Soba Cha. Not sweet! I'll be back, especially to try more of the food and hot drink menu. Cute new tea shop that had just opened up when we visited. Love the decor. There is a cloth covering over the door that you push aside to walk in. The interior was a bit dark and moody, but with natural lighting from big windows. It felt calming and peaceful. Good place to get some work done while enjoying a nice tea and pastry. The menu was small but had what we were looking for. The workers were very welcoming and warm, they helped to explain the menu to customers. We ordered the competition grade matcha with oat milk and black sesame cream (hot), and a hojicha latte (iced). Service was fast and both were delicious. The matcha was smooth and strong. The oat milk and black sesame balanced the flavor and added a subtle sweetness and a creamy nutty flavor. The hojicha was refreshing. You can tell that they use high quality ingredients for their teas. We wanted to get a pastry, but their selection was small and we didn't see any unique flavors that day. They did serve kimbap, kimbap which sounds like a great bite if we were craving something savory and filling. Would definitely stop by again. Also, they had some cute trinkets and merch. We tried the egg sandwich (kids loved it). It's not made in-house, but they were told to pass our compliments to the chef. Drinks on deck: chrysanthemum lemonade, green tea (Long Jing) , lumyai coconut , toasty rice pudding tea , plus a cheesecake brownie because... balance . Admittedly, the kids weren't feeling most of the drinks, but my daughter loved the Long Jing, while I loved every single one except that one. First of all they were open during the great snow storm and had special hours because of it. Thankful for social media to give us the updates. We couldn't find many places open during this time. We love to support small business especially women and minority owned. I'm sorry I don't remember her name but she was so awesome and I love when they come and talk to you. There were a couple others in the shop. Very cute and small place. There was merch. Moody vibes. They are opening an evening bar at the same location. Tried the tea jelly and few other drinks. I thought my drink would be too sweet because of the most sugar stars (indicated on menu) but it wasn't at all. Very tasty. Excellent experience. Quaint tea house by day, and cocktail lounge by night. We came in for the tea service, nice menu without being overwhelming. They offer traditional Chinese teas, bonus you get to choose your own teacup to drink from. They have limited food items menu, freshly baked which were delicious. A quiet spot that is fun to go to.
