First of all, this space is absolutely GORGEOUS. The vibe as you walk in is immediately comforting with multiple windows letting in natural light, luxurious furnishings, and soft music playing. I noticed that even though we went at a fairly busy time, it didn't seem loud or overwhelming at all. Now onto the drinks and eats - I love ordering seasonal lattes at coffee shops, so I chose to get their seasonal Sticky Date Latte. It was one of the best lattes I've ever had! It had a strong coffee taste which I adore, and the sweetness was the perfect amount. If they chose to keep this on the menu I would be the happiest girl around. I ended up getting a pistachio croissant (not pictured) and a chocolate croissant as well. I fell in love with the chocolate because it was filled to the brim with rich chocolate in the center. The pistachio was also delicious and they did not skimp on the filling on that one either! The staff was also awesome, I always love when you order something and the person taking your order goes "oh yeah that one is delicious". It's very reassuring!

I really enjoyed Mocha Point Coffee. I had the Yemeni latte and almond croissant. The drink was large, and the almond croissant had the fluffiest filling. The portions were large and I could barely finish the croissant. There was plenty of seating and we did not have a long wait for our orders. I plan to return and recommend if you are in the area!

Mocha Point is easily one of my new go-to coffee places! The atmosphere is wonderful, with music playing in the front half of the cafe, plenty of natural light, and lots of space to bring a laptop or book. I ordered an iced decaf Spanish latte and a chocolate croissant, and both were delicious! I was so glad that all of their coffee is available in decaf, too. The service was also great, with the staff being friendly and willing to help me decide when I was torn between items and asked them for their opinion. All in all, Mocha Point is a great place to grab coffee, baked goods, or both!

Fun spot with unique options! Mocha Point made me go outside of my normal coffee comfort zone, and I enjoyed it. Staff was friendly, and the space was clean. It didn't have a ton of ambiance but was large enough to have plenty of people working at the same time without being too crammed. I'd recommend!

I've been really enjoying the trend of global coffee shops that are opening up in KC. Ten years ago you'd find mostly just American style coffee, but nowadays I've been really enjoying the Latin American and Vietnamese shops that have popped up. I'm now adding Yemeni coffee to my list as this was great! Mocha Point is still pretty new here so it was quiet when I popped in this morning, but the baristas were super helpful and I chose an iced Yemeni latte and an almond croissant. The coffee was mildly sweet with some nice spice. The croissant was warm and delicious. I'll be back!

New Yemeni cafe in Kansas City metro (especially in Overland Park)!!!! People here know how to show up and support new cafes and restaurants. I've always loved Pistachio lattes from Yemeni cafes. So, I was very excited about to see what they offer at this place. They opened the doors in February 2026 & they're still in soft opening phase figuring everything out. Ambiance: Cafe is designed in a very unique way with a lot of different tables for smaller to larger groups. High chairs for people who want to work. I also noticed some pottery items in there. There is good amount of sun light coming in one side of the cafe. Menu - Coffee, Tea & Pastries: Since it is early days, they have a paper menu and I'm sure they're in the works for QR code menu and a TV screen menu. Menu had a good amount of Tea and coffee options with their house favorite Yemeni coffee. I have also noticed Pistachio cakes, croissants, Zaatar and cheese Manieesh & Beef Manieesh. We ordered Hot pistachio latte, Yemeni latte & Banana cream latte & Zaatar and cheese Manieesh for the table. Pistachio latte was good but not the best I've had. Manieesh had cream cheese and zaatar seasoning all over it. It was different and it may not work for folks who's not good with spices. I have to try Yemeni coffee and Adeni chai next time.

Checked out this new coffee spot in OP! Love the decor inside and you are going to want to try all of the sweet treats. I also had their spinach pastry option and it was yummy! I will be back to set up shop to work on my laptop. I had the pistachio latter and I loved it! Need to get back and try the Spanish latte. Staff was so friendly!

I drove 31 miles each way from the Northland to south OP just to experience the KC areas first Yemeni coffee shop and it was worth it. After reading about them coming to town a few months ago and having a friend that has visited their only other location in St. Charles, MO, I knew that a Sunday road trip was in the cards. The place is beautiful and simplistic in its myriad arrangements of seating options in a large space in a stripmall, with cut-out arches, functional art of Middle Eastern silver plates, coffee serving vessels and clay urns , the place is clean, vibrant and alluring. The nice lady at the register offered product details that the menu fails to provide. I went with the basic iced Yemeni Latte and a savory spinach pastry. The latte was wonderful - a cross between two of my favorite beverages - Cafe Sua Da and a Chai. Bold, sweet and a kick of spices. Perfect. The spinach pastry was beautiful in its appearance and taste. Count me in on the upcoming Yemeni coffee bandwagon that is approaching.

i went to mocha point to get some work done today. the coffee shop is really cute in the inside and spacious. there is tons of seating as well as outlets. there are chairs with backs and stools. i ordered an iced date cardamom latte which ended up being 8.50 which i think is a little pricey for a 12oz latte. the latte also very sweet to me so i think i would do either just the cardamom or the date syrup instead of both.

I Was So Excited To Try Mocha Point As The New Coffee Joint In The Area! The Place Is Beautifully Decorated Clean And Quaint. We Were Greeted Upon Entry And The Baristas Were Kind! The Coffee Was Delish Probably One Of The Best Pistachio Lattes I Have Ever Had. The Only Hang Up I Had Was The Price As A 16oz Latte Was $8. It May Be The Price Of Coffee These Days So I Won't Make A Huge Fuss But Just Something To Point Out. Im Happy for Mocha Point And Would Be Happy To Visit Them Again!

I can honestly say this is the best coffee shop I have ever been to (and I've been to plenty across many states). The pistachio latte (medium sweet) is just right and the most magical tasting latte EVER. The vibe and energy is just right and I think they deserve more than 5 stars!!

Tried out this morning! The pasty case looked AMAZING and it was hard to pick but ultimately I am glad with my choice because the pistachio croissant was SO delicious! The iced latte was great as well. Little surprised to only see two working behind the counter since it was a busy Saturday morning though. Overall we will be back for sure to try more items here.

First of all, be sure not to blink because the sign isn't very visable and the location is unassuming from the outside, abeit a very clean exterior. Walking in, I love the vibe, trendy but not pretentious, grounded yet modern and a fair amount of people but not overflowing. Yessiree Bob, this is my kind of place. Oh and the baristas are patient, kind and willing to offer advice based on your individual tastes. I've been here several times; however, my eating habits preclude me from indulging in anything outside of berries. Do the apple fritters, donuts, muffins and other items look outstanding, of course they do. In fact, my buddy whom I generally meet there has raved how good the pastries are and after living in Austin and trying home made poptarts, I'm still kicking myself for not trying them. However, the path to maintaining a healthy weight and figure is paved in discipline. I must admit they nailed the ambiance. The cement floors are patterned with what looks like dark wood textured tiles and the walls are a warm burgundy, emitting a certain visual warmth. The hanging art amuses me, sometimes it's movie paintings, sometimes its modern art while other times it's eclectic and I've never figured out their rotation, but I appreciate it. The hanging lamps offer a bit of 2010 mod while the open coffee service area proudly displays all of the tools of an expert craftsman. The counter area has a small display case enticing the sweet tooth and the chalk boards give a simplistic view of their menu, but they also offer daily "experiments" that are fun to sample. The first time I came, I tried the Café Au Lait which was very strong, robust and full of lasting flavor. The 12oz amount seemed to be about perfect for my needs. The next time I dropped by I sampled the Dulce de Leche which was a mistake. Why, you might be wondering? Because I've never ordered anything else since then and I always get the 16oz. It's smooth, a little softer on the coffee flavor while balancing it with the strong caramel notes. I know it's probably got more calories than I want, but hey, that's why I'm not eating! They also have some pretty good selection of home ground coffees from places like Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Brazil and other far, far away locations. Come to think of it I don't recall if they have any Hawaiian beans which are pretty trendy now (Kona is a great coffee!!) Oh I forgot to mention they do have a fast wifi but please for the love of God, don't be that geek in the corner pretending to write the great American novel in the corner. That's so.... 2000s.... Overall, this is my favorite coffee shop in Overland Park and it's not even close. Stop on by for the best coffee experience you'll have in the area!

I wasn't the only one with the idea to head to McLain's this morning either. The drive-thru had quite the line-up and there were plenty of folks inside too! This place has great energy. Everything on the menu looks amazing, so it was a challenge to figure out what to order. I ended up going with the market latte with oat milk, the steel cut oats, and a "Plain + Simple," which is "McLain's classic scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheddar, on english muffin toast." My daughter ended up having the P+S and seemed to enjoy it! I also enjoyed my latte and oats. The staff were also friendly and gave me no reason to doubt their skills. My only complaint is that the seating was just shy of being comfortable. My friend said the bench seating was a bit hard, and while the chair I sat in was soft, the arm rests made it a little too narrow for me (I'm plus size and have chronic pain, so finding truly comfortable seating can be a challenge at most places. As a note, anyone larger than a women's 3X probably wouldn't be able to comfortably sit in the chairs at all and would need to sit on the bench).
