Horrible massage, peeling feet after, in grown issues...was my birthday, and I felt they rushed through everything. Wouldn't go back.

If I could have Jenny as a technician every time, I would give this place a better review. There is another technician that I happen to get once in awhile and every time it is horrible. She is inconvenienced, rude and actually tried to pick a fight with me yesterday when I was in there. I usually spend around $50 when I go in. I choose an item from the menu and most people are happy to just serve it up. This time, the gal said, "We don't do it that way here" even though I didn't request a certain method. Pointed to the menu for a pedicure and she said that was only for manicures! Last time she worked on my hands, she made me bleed. This time, my foot was just short of bleeding and today it is very sore. She uses cuticle remover instead of callus remover, massage was about 2 minutes. Then she disappeared in the back for around 7 minutes. After that, she said something very negative in her native language causing the other technicians to look at me in horror! After two years going here, I regret that I am going to be forced to find a new salon. Very unfortunate that one person can cause so much havoc and cause the place to lose customers. read more

Went to Hilary sweet lady but sloppy not very good at cuticle cleaning disappointed . They do SNS here great for nails but you have to watch their use of the drummer tool . Bit heavy use of it. read more

I have been to tic tac salon twice within 2 months. The first visit was with a friend. We came in around 3pm to get mani/pedi's with the exception of me getting a pink and white fill. First of all we had to wait with our feet soaking in the water for over 20 minutes before anyone began our pedicures. Second, they were almost done on my friends nails and toes, and hadn't even started on my pink and whites. When the tech finally did start, she didn't quite know what she was doing, she cut my nails way to short and had to replace a few of them and made my finger bleed and didn't apologize. At this time about 2 1/2 hours has gone by, which is already ample time to have been done. My nails were half done and the main tech stepped in and tried apologizing but at this point I was very frustrated because we had plans to be somewhere by 8pm and still had to get ready. It was around 6:30pm and the tech tried to fix the mess my nails were in. I told her "I need to go, ill just get them fixed somewhere else" and she insisted on fixing them and they turned out uneven and she took another hour to finish. I was there a total of almost 4 hrs. They then proceeded to offer me an $18 gift certificate for my inconvenience and told me they would take care of me the next visit but to call to make an appt. I told them I will never come back becuase I was very unhappy. They still made me pay for my messed up nail job and $18 doesn't even cover the full set pink and whites. Today I decided to come back and give them a second chance. I made an appt for 4pm. I was there on time w/ my friends 12 y.o. daughter. They took two ladies before us even with my appt and we were there before them. My friends daughter wanted a pedi. She was sitting with her feet in water for 20 min and her feet were prunning. They finally sat me for my pink and white set @4:20pm. The tech glues the tips on and walks away to work on someone else then proceeds with my nails and finishes an hour and a half later. Ugh! These people do not deserve to be in business. Very much in need of time management skills and a bigger staff or perhaps more experienced techs. Poor quality and horrible customer service. I was treated the same as the first time. I will never go back! I don't recommend tic tac nails. read more

I don't understand all the glowing reviews of this place. The only positive thing I can say is that I didn't have to wait. I had a gel set and pedicure. Both ladies looked inconvenienced to be doing my nails, not friendly at all. The lady doing my pedicure encouraged me to pay $5 extra for callus removal, waste of money. She spent less time on that then other places who don't even charge extra for it. It was a quick and rushed job. The lady who did my gel set wasn't any better. The quality seemed overall fair to poor, my nails lasted about a week and then started to chip. I would not go back here and I don't recommend it. read more

Great nail salon! I followed these ladies here from the old shop in SJC. They are the best! Great service and really friendly.

Pros they were able to fit me in without an appt and the woman doing my gel mani was very sweet. Cons the woman doing my gel pedi cut me twice! Not awesome, to the extent that she had to keep applying pressure to one of my toes to try and stop the bleeding but it didn't work. My nails started chipping 3 days later. What a waste. I was traveling and had to get them done again. read more

Used to be a great place...I took a few friends to this salon, and they ALL got a nail infection 4 separate times. Not to mention, my nails have chipped the same day the past 2 times. A few days ago, it was not busy (2 of us), and I sat in the chair for over one hour while being ignored, and other customers that were walk ins got started right away. I almost walked out, but they insisted on coming over after I stood up and headed out the door. I really needed my nails done, so I let them (but was not happy with the wait and quality). It's a shame, because this used to be my favorite place to go. Not going anymore, huge decline in hygiene and customer service. read more

I love this place, right when you walk in you can see how professional they are. They accept walk ins but I suggest you make an appointment because they are usually always busy. I went in with an old set of acrylic nails and wanted a new set from them, I got a new acrylic gel set and I absolutely loved it paid $45 which is not bad at all. They are all very nice and don't make you feel awkward. Already made my appointment for my next nail day :) read more

A friend recommended them when she heard I was looking for a place to get my nails done for my wedding in Kauai. Was not disappointed. My gel acrylics were beautiful and my french pedicure lasted forever, just had to add a topcoat every now and then and I was set. Next time I need my nails done I'm going here. :) read more

I cant tell you how happy i am to fine such a great nail salon. It is amazing, they all know my name and are so sweet. They are all happy to see me when I walk in and you feel so comfortable. You will love this place! The team here does superb work. I constantly get compliments on my nails and I have been getting my nails done by Jenny for over 5 years. They were first located in San Juan Capistrano and when they moved to Dana Point, I followed them! They are worth every extra mile for their service, attention to detail, genuine kindness and concern for their clients. The salon is like a neighborhood "hub" with good, positive energy. They always take walk-ins when they can and sometimes you have to wait, but it is well worth it. The best news is that they are willing to accommodate events and work schedules and Tic Tac Nails is open most nights until 8! In fact, I am on my way there now!! read more

I love this place. I live walking distance and have been coming here for several years. Top notch service. I get manicures (gel nails), pedicures every couple weeks and eyebrow waxing once in a while. They always do an amazing job and you can tell they take pride in their work. I have been coming to tic tac nails since i moved to DP 6 years ago. They give a great pedicure with awesome leg massage. You can also ask for a neck massage that I LOVE! We are moving in a few weeks, I will really miss this place! read more

I have been going to this nail parlor every two weeks since they opened, and have nothing but the highest of praise for them. It is extremely clean, fresh and new, and ALL the operators are very nurturing and spend more time with their patrons than most other manicurists. not a bad salon, i feel it could be a bit cleaner though. i got a gel manicure and it was my first time at this salon..they peeled off in two weeks? i've never had that happen before. it was cheap, but i dont know if id go back just bc of that reason. id rather pay a bit more and not have them peel. read more

The worst customer service. The people here are son comfortable with the little business that the do have that they forget they have to put effort into gaining and keeping customers. As I sat here getting my nails done. 3 women walked out from lack of service or rude customer service. They overbook on appointments and give attitude when asked to clean the foot tub after the last person just used it. The people here take their regular clientele for granted and soon they will have very little to no customer base left. Ill never return. read more

gels haven't even lasted a week, did a really bad job. had me waiting for an hour when they were just on their phones.

I came in without an appointment to get a pedicure so it was nice I was able to be fit in. The Downside was she convinced me to do gel on my toe nails and when I told her what color I wanted she went to go get it, I guess apparently they were out of that color so she picks her own color of her liking and tells me she is going to put that one on me, I'm very polite so I said ok because I don't like to make waves but I wasn't happy with the fact that she didn't ask me to pick a new color of my choosing. Also she messed up and had to start all over again so I was there easily 2 hours and did not receive an apology or discount for the mistake. I won't come back. read more

This place is amazing!! I followed the staff when they all left a different salon in SJC. Jenny does an AMAZING job, as well as Leni and all the staff. The only reason I go go other salons sometime is because I have groupons and because I moved a little further away. But I always regret the groupons- nothing compares to Tik Tack Nails!!!! One of the best pedicures I have ever had! Attention to detail - excellent! Foot and leg massages mesmerizing. Four hours later and I'm still in heaven. And my feet look great and are so soft!
