I have driven past this nail salon too many times to count, as it is in my neighborhood. I found myself in a situation where I needed to get my nails done today and after reading reviews for several salons, I gave Nail Solutions a call to see if it was possible to get an appointment. Thank my lucky stars they said I could come right over! This shop is very clean and welcoming upon walking in. Laura took care of getting my gel manicure completed and was ver sweet and kind. She did a terrific job with the gel, no bubbles and simply was just a pleasure to chat with. Before leaving, I had an opportunity to meet Donna who was just as kind and friendly. I look forward to returning and would highly recommend Nail Solutions to my neighbors! They accept credit cards, but would suggest making sure you have cash for any tips.

It had been almost 8-9 years since I walked in to Nail Solutions. I used to live down the street and this was my nail salon for years. After I moved I ended up finding something a little closer. Well, I'm back in the area and I popped in and Donna literally recognized me by name on the spot. She is SO amazing I just love her and all the ladies in this salon. They are so wonderful. This nail salon is a hidden gem! I discovered it a couple weeks ago and decided to give it a try with my mom. We were both well taken care of with amazing pedicures by Mylie and Donna. Looking for somewhere new, I tried Nail Solutions for a pedicure and was very happy with the quality and service. The modern interior is calming with good natural light and the pedicure area has comfortable massage chairs. They had a good selection of regular nail polishes and the price is reasonable at $32 & tip. The standout feature here is how genuine the nail technicians are, and how friendly the other clients were. Upon hearing this was my first visit, the lady next to me said that these nail ladies will become like family, she had been going to Lena for 30 yrs! I went in for a pedicure & the door says walk ins welcome but when I called they said they only take appointments. The salon was not busy & the service was pretty slow, I was waiting for about 20 minutes before someone helped me out. I asked for a basic pedicure & my nail tech did a decent job (aside from making my toe bleed) but at the end she upcharged me for an upgraded package which I did not ask for. If you come to this salon just make sure you're very clear with telling them what you want because they will do their own thing & end up overcharging you. read more

My son and I met the owner Donna after tirelessly searching for a reputable nail salon with good reviews. Holy guacamole, they do exist! I have a special needs son that is terrified of getting his toes done and I also have my nails done with him at the same time. I am very loyal to the businesses that I partner with until they change any part of their product, or business practices. This has happened to me recently and I have had to find other shops which is hard on my son. That being said, Nail Solutions was incredibly accommodating as they took us in the very same day I called, they were so incredibly supportive, kind and wonderful with my son and really listened to what I wanted with regards to my nails. I hate to write this review because I grew up going to this nail salon with my mom. I recently moved back to the area and have been coming back. I wanted to get an appointment with Donna but she was busy so I agreed to see another person. I showed the nail tech the design I wanted. I felt bad because she spent so long trying to do it and ultimately told me she doesn't do designs. Donna could see my frustration (she was sitting behind me) and never came to see what was wrong. After she asked to see my nails and said they looked pretty. I said yes but they weren't what I wanted and she didn't respond. I was shocked. Then the other tech then said "can you tip in cash?". read more

DO NOT COME HERE!! My mom got really bad nail fungus from their unsanitized tools! Places like this need to be cognizant of this and know better. I thought she had fake nails at first but the fungus lifted her gel polish up. It is sooo bad. It infected all of her fingers and her doctor assured her that it was from the nail salon. read more

So so disappointed. My fellow Yelpers let me down with this one. I came in with high hopes as I was greeted by multiple different nail technicians and the yelp reviews were soaring high. Let me tell you any high hopes for this spot diminished shortly after the greeting. At first my nail technician was attentive, gave me a nice foot massage (hence the 2 stars) but as soon as she moved on to my manicure and learned that I didn't want the upgraded package or gel she could care less about her customer service from there. I already was not liking the vibe of this place - almost empty, no music, and just the news playing really loudly from their one TV. Her service just made it worse. She completely skipped over my hand massage, did a crappy paint job, and was trying to rush me out the door with wet nails. I wanted to ask her if she realized that the place was practically empty? It only became worse when she was telling me to pay her a cash tip and kept repeating it in a demanding way. Are you serious? Give me a minute to grab my bag and get my card out of my purse with wet nails! Definitely never coming back to this spot. Too many nail salons to go to a place with poor service and a bad ambience. I am here to enjoy myself,not hear about all of the tragedy going on in the world and be demanded to do things. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience with Kim!…read more During my consultation, I clearly explained that I wanted more dimension in my hair and specifically wanted to move toward a brunette look with only a few subtle blonde highlights. My goal was to avoid becoming significantly blonder. Unfortunately, the final result was the opposite of what I had requested, and my hair ended up much blonder than I wanted. What was particularly concerning was that when I expressed my desire for a brunette look with minimal highlights, Kim responded that it would be "disgusting." I found that comment unprofessional and unnecessarily harsh. Clients should feel heard and respected, even when a stylist has a different professional opinion. To her credit, she did attempt to correct the color by adding lowlights. However, the lowlights did not appear to take, and I was told there was something wrong with my hair rather than being given a clear explanation or solution. I understand that color services can be complex and that results may vary, but I left feeling that my preferences were not fully respected and that the outcome did not reflect the look I had specifically requested. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I would not return and cannot recommend the salon based on my visit. I hope this feedback helps future clients and encourages better communication between stylists and their customers.

I showed her a photo (which I will provide) of my inspiration. She said that she could not do multiple colors like my photo showed, but she could do the French tip the way that it was in the photo. So I compromised and said OK. When I first sat down, I did not notice if May pulled anything out of the sanitary bags that are typically used in nail salons for all of the tools. She began filing my nails with a dirty used nail file. I asked her several times if she could use one that was sanitized. She was acting like she couldn't understand me or that she didn't hear me, but I've gone to her before and I know that she had absolutely no issues with communication prior. She kept ignoring my request until the manager walked over and told her to get a new nail file because he overheard me. Even after the manager asked her to use a new nail file, she finished filing the rest of my hand and THEN she grabbed a new nail file. What is with the attitude? And why are we not using sanitary tools for every single customer? After asking her to replace the dirty nail file, I endured major attitude from her going forward. Almost anytime I spoke to her after this, she would ignore me and stay silent. I asked her if she could bring the French tip all the way up around the sides (like demonstrated in the photo) and she said "this is the best that I can do." Totally dismissive and not what we discussed prior to the appt. You can't just draw a line a little bit higher...? She also told me that she would make sure that my natural whites were not showing beneath the French tip, but as you can see in the photo... she did not do that. It was very obvious that she was in a hurry. She was not interested in really taking the time to make sure that she was listening to what I was asking- which wasn't a lot. On top of this, I scheduled and confirmed an appointment for a manicure and pedicure. My pedicurist did not show up until my manicure was almost over. Why even bother to make an appt here? I scheduled both at once so that I could get them done at the same time. This is why people don't like to go to nail salons. It's important to respect people's time, especially when they are a customer. If my pedicurist was going to be an hour late, I should have been given the courtesy to know that. Will not be returning.

In addition to the filth, my nail tech used unsanitized tools for my manicure and pedicure...a health violation. I don't understand why it is so difficult to clean the salon. There were a few techs just sitting around on their phones who could have picked up a towel and started cleaning. The amount of filth in this salon is from months, if not years, of accumulation. Clipped, old toe nails laying everywhere, clumps of dust on the floors, and dirty tools are disgusting and unacceptable in an business that should be sterile. I'm hoping and praying that I don't get an infection from my experience. I will never return. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

The way they spoke to us made us feel rushed and unwanted instead of appreciated. A simple request was treated like an inconvenience. Customer service and attitude matter just as much as the actual service, and this place failed badly at both. There definitely will NOT be a next time. So many better salons out there that actually know how to treat customers with respect.

Ive got sleep debt and something about Nail Solutions that makes you feel right at home. I sleep like a baby 9 times out of 10 when I'm there. That is how safe I feel with every single one of the incredible ladies there. Donna did these beautiful Ruby Slipper nail and Nancy, who is the newest to the team did my toes Ruby Slippers to match. I have been coming here for years and the service is always excellent. The staff is friendly and know us by name. If I go without my daughter, they always inquire and ask how she is doing. I drive from Rancho Santa Margarita if that tells you anything. With nail salons practically on every corner, I still haven't found anyone in RSM that I like better then Nail Solutions. I recently left my very expensive cellphone and knew without a shadow of a doubt, they would keep my phone safe until I was able to pick it up; not sure I could say that about another salon. read more

I highly recommended this salon to anyone who lives in Laguna Niguel area. When I walked in they made me feel welcome. Everyone there seems friendly especially Donna -the manager did a great job on my gel nails-love it!
