Gorgeous vibes all around, right by the ocean front what more can I ask for! I tried one of their seasonal lattes, the White Mocha Strawberry latte and it was so delicious & not too sweet. The panini I got was alright, nothing spectacular about it. It is a little small for how much you're paying though! I would stick to the drinks here. My drink and sandwich came out pretty fast though! Less than a 5 minute wait. I would come back to try more different seasonal lattes! read more

Views were great, we were able to find seating when we went on a Tuesday around 10:30. The coffee is nothing to write home about. Both of our lattes were extremely milky and didn't taste like coffee. You have to ask for everything and it comes free with a nasty look. Don't even give this place your time. The coffee (Americano and drip coffee) were weak. My husband surprised me with coffee from Tidal Coffee two days in a row during our weekend stay at Monterey Plaza Hotel. Tidal Coffee is conveniently located next door to the hotel. He's an early riser, while I prefer to sleep in, so it was a nice treat to wake up to craft coffee each morning. On both occasions, he brought me my go-to drink - an oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon. The latte was smooth and well balanced. I really enjoyed it. One morning, he also surprised me with a large cinnamon roll, which was delicious. I imagine it would have been even better warmed up. The prices were reasonable, starting at $4.15 for a small latte and going up to $4.95 for a large, which is more affordable compared to other coffee shops. The employees seemed happy and were helpful. There isn't a lot of seating inside but outside they have a nice little outdoor sitting area you can see the ocean from. There also is seating along the window inside where you can people watch as you enjoy your coffee. The service is fast it never took longer than 10 minutes to get my order. Even when they were busy in the mornings. The coffee was very good. The best best I found in Monterey of the couple places I tried. I stopped by this lovely cafe for a London Fog with Oat Milk ($5) - happy that they offer non-dairy options for their lattes. My drink came out quickly and it was just what I needed. They offer a lot of tasty looking pastries too but sadly none of it was vegan. My friend did order a bear claw and she seemed to have enjoyed her treat. This place was one of our better coffee shop visits while in Monterey but seems like it can be a tough place to find a good cup of coffee! The food here was much better than some of the other coffee shops nearby as well. What made this place worth a visit was the amazing view you can find right outside. Found my favorite coffee shop on cannery row (possibly all of Monterey). I don't know how to explain it, but their standard coffee is absolutely perfect for my tastes/preferences. With a hint of milk, it's smooth and flavorful without being overpowering. Fun fact: I had it 5 years ago (when staying at a nearby hotel) and ever since then I've been meaning to head back but forgot the name and location. I recently reconnected with it after visiting the area and I'm so glad I did. Added bonus: it's inexpensive compared to Starbucks and Pete's. Definitely check it out if you're in the area. Final pro tip: The seating area outside the coffee shop is for public enjoyment. Feel free to bring a lunch from one of the surrounding shops and enjoy the view. read more
