Gorgeous setting, outdoor seating faces the bay, beautifully presented dishes, and Esteban was a terrific server. The bread service was like nothing I've ever had light as air creamy whipped butter and also a ricotta drizzled with balsamic and topped with roasted nuts. However, my fish was slightly over cooked and dry.

We sat outdoors and enjoyed some food and drinks with the ocean breeze -- such a relaxing experience. My favorite was the tomato flatbread: pleasantly chewy, fresh, and not greasy at all. For the mains, we ordered the sea bass and free-range chicken. The chicken was slightly dry, but the fish was delicious. The staff were very warm and attentive, and the service was great overall.

Chef Charlotte has got a gift I tell you. Her technique and approach is amazing. Our server Melissa was also perhaps the sweetest server I have ever had. This restaurant is a GEM, with a beautiful water, surrounded atmosphere and incredible stuff and mouthwatering food. I also recommend the carpaccio, fondue and crudo!

Tidal is set Within Paradise Point Resort with the most spectacular view of Mission Bay. Although our dinner was set in evening, we had a table view of the glistening lights shining on the bay. We started our dinner with the Tidal bread service which is on the appetizer menu. This is definitely a must order as the bread was baked fresh and tasted like no other bread service I've experienced before. The bread was unique in shape, presented on this beautiful wood board with a ricotta honey spread topped with microgreens, balsamic vinegar, olive oil and nuts. The steak burger was juicy, seasoned well and so large. The halibut was fresh, light and flakey. Finally, completed our night with crème brûlée. Wonderful dinner from start to finish!

This place is located at Paradise Point Resort and overlooks the water, a beautiful backdrop. The staff was friendly and they offer a kid's menu. The halibut was a bit dry but the mushroom risotto was very good and their crème brûlée had wonderful texture and taste.

I stayed here in August of 2024, so this review is a bit late and I don't remember any of the staff who helped me but I had a wonderful experience. I made a reservation about 15 minutes ahead of time, showed up 5 minutes late, was a little drunk, didn't realize the vibes of the restaurant so I showed up in jeans, a crop top, and flip flops. The hostess and waitress were both so nice to me. I got seated at a really nice waterfront table and I ordered a bowl of clam chowder and a half dozen oysters and ate them all. It was a delicious meal with a great view even though I probably looked like a fish out of water. But hey, it was a great visit and experience. Thanks for not making me feel excluded, Tidal!!! If I ever find myself back at Paradise Point, I would definitely come back with the appropriate attire!!!

Stopped by Tidal the other day for dinner. It was a warm evening in San Diego and we walked around the property down to the docks and got a lovely view of the sunset and beaches around the resort. At the restaurant we got seated almost immediately in the back porch area with a great view of the water. For food we ordered the Tidal bread service which was a freshly baked brioche roll served with whipped butter and ricotta cheese. The bread was warm and soft and the butter made it even more delicious. For the starter we shared the Wagyu beef carpaccio which came out thinly sliced with truffle aioli and caviar. For the entree we chose the lamb chops and prime rib eye. The lamb chops came out a bit too pink in the center but they had a nice flavor to them and weren't gamey at all. The rib eye was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. For drinks we opted for mocktails that were fruity without being too sweet. Overall Tidal is a great spot for dinner by the water with plenty of free parking nearby and a great spot to walk around after dinner.

We had a reservation at 7pm for a birthday dinner. We didn't get to seat until 715pm on a saturday night. Wasn't really a busy night, IMO. We ordered lamb shank and prime rib bone in steak with 2 wine. And brownie smores for dessert. Lamb shank was tender and delicious. Paired with suggested red wine. Good choice. Polenta is good, too. For that price,.expecting for more lamb shank :). Prime rib was good, seasoned well. However, we ordered medium but came out as rare. Brocollini came out kind of burnt, too, so we put that to the side. Since our server was nowhere to be found, we were sitting there waiting. No one is checking with us. We had to flag another server to get the prime rib cook some more. Eventually, I'm assuming the manager came out and bring the food out. This time, steak came out better and had brocollini there too, this time was cooked better. This time our server came out to check on us to see how everything was but everything was taken care off. We were ready to order dessert but server was nowhere to be found, again. We had to flag another server so we can order our dessert. Props to manager for taking care of us. Birthday dinner kind of sucked because of the service. We hoped we had the server that the 2 tables had, they were being constantly being checked and getting refills. I mean you're paying like eating at a steakhouse, service should be good, too. Intimate location, great view. Good food. Lots of parking. Good food. Will come back to eat here if we're staying here again and as long we don't get the same server.

We've been coming to Paradise Point a lot but we are always stopping by one of their bar & grill . This time we gave Tidal a try. The result was good and my Family was very happy about our Dinner here. From the Inside of the the restaurant to the Outdoor was stunning . The View from our Table was spectacular! Now for the food, we were very satisfied, with our cocktail, appetizers, main course, and dessert. I got the PACIFICO SEA BASS a decent-sized fish, and cooked nicely accompanied by a delicious Mushroom risotto. Next time I'm gonna order too what my son had, he had the Duroc pork chop and it was big and very tasty. Service was nice, food that we had was delicious and with a very stunning view !

We were staying at the hotel on site and we decided to try this place out and then the one next door each night and this place is okay. It does cost more and they don't have that big of a menu. I'm a picky eater so I ordered just some sides because there wasn't anything on the menu that I'd really eat. The view is gorgeous and they have a nice outside area to eat at that is right on the water. The waiter was a nice guy and he did great trying to get us to try different things.

Staying at the hotel so we wanted to check out this restaurant for dinner. Made a reservation online easily. Came in and was seated on time. Kinda busy. Inside was clean staff was attentive. We ordered the fondue, shrimp cocktail and some drinks. Fondue came out quickly and tasted very good, bread was delicious. The shrimp cocktail was very good too. The rose drink was fantastic and presentation was delightful. We got full after our appetizers so we didn't order any entrees. I would come here again.

Lots of great things to say. The staff was friendly the dining area was nice. And we elected to sit out by the beach front and use heat lamps. They even brought the ladies blankets. Speedy right on time great drink menu. The appetizer was just odd. Hard croutons from a bag it seemed like. Luckily the actual mozzarella and balsamic was great and tasty. The sea bass was great. I had just a sneak bite of it. I ordered the ahi. And it was a thick ahi steak. Very fresh. Great portion lightly seasoned and cooked perfectly. I also just love cauliflower so when this was dressed around the tuna I devoured it. Perfect season and cooking of it. Such a great family time

5/5 stars for service. Major praise to Chef Charolette and server/bartender Esteban. Night one we decided to sit at the bar where we were served unique drinks from Esteban. We enjoyed our experience with him so much that we requested him as a server the following night. He gracefully along with Chef Charolette handled a difficult allergy, the chef even came out to confirm and take great care of me. Food and drinks were delicious. We are very grateful for our experience!!!!

Bartenders were cool. Nick was our fave though for sure. He made some mean cocktails. Solid liquor selection plus a list of cocktails to choose from. I initially ordered the something and picante (can't remember the full name) and found it to be way too sweet. Then switched to a basic Lalo with soda and lime to cleanse my palette. After tried their version of an espresso martini which was quite good but made with nitro brew and kahlua so a bit on the sweeter side. I ended the night with my fave drink though which was a Hugo spritz and it was perfectly balanced. Definitely will be going back, especially for the love band Sundays. Parking is all street parking.

Parking is a nightmare good luck finding parking within a mile of the restaurant. Pros: atmosphere, drinks, service Cons: food wasn't great for the price, restaurant was small and crowded, no parking Service: All of our servers were friendly and very accommodating. Gave us some knowledge on the menu and recommended cocktails based on our preference. I had spilled my drink and they were quick to make me another one. Food: I had intended to get the prime ribeye cap steak but they ran out for the night around 8pm. I shared the steak sampler which came with four different cuts of steak and 4 sauces. I ordered medium and it was cooked medium/medium rare which was fine with me, it also had a good sear, almost burnt though. Out of the four steaks, we only liked two based off flavor and tenderness. The other two were more tough and gamey. None of the sauces really stood out but the bordelaise and horseradish were good. For our sides we got fries, roasted broccoli, and the grilled wedge salad. Fries were average. The roasted broccoli had really good flavor, I expected the broccoli to be al dente but it was cooked to mush and drenched in sauce. The grilled wedge salad was decent, there was a slightly bitter taste to it. I know it says grilled wedge but the experience of biting into the salad and it being both hot and cold was not pleasant. Cocktails: I tried the Honey Ryder and New Wave. These were recommended as the more fruity/sweet cocktails. You can definitely taste the alcohol but it's only 2oz so it's not too strong. Ambience: 10/10 I got seated downstairs by the bar. Only thing about downstairs is that it's too dark to take photos unless you use flash. Overall, I agree with the other reviews saying to go just for drinks and appetizers. I would go again just to sit upstairs and get drinks and take pictures. We left unsatisfied and ended up getting in-n-out after.

Now if you're super into smash burgers, this ain't it, and you really need to rethink your life choices. This bad boii right here is a thickun', with beautifully melted gruyere cheese, dijonaise, and caramalized onions tucked inside of a majestic sesame seed bun-served with fries, a dill pickle, and a FANTASTIC aioli for $17!!!! Yes, $17!!!!!! This burger ain't no joke, and it's more than enough reason to skirt your buns on down to try it out. Now the fun doesn't stop there. Have you freaking seen this place? The outside does not do it justice whatsoever. Once you step inside the door, you'll forget where you are-partially because it's pretty dark and you can't see shit, but the other part is that it's magical. I love poppin' up to the bar and chillin' in this space. There are two more totally different experiences to dine in, but I'll leave that up to you to find and explore. Although they're known for their burger, delicious drinks, and signature ice cream sandwich, there's so much more to write home about. I RECENTLY HAD ONE OF THE BEST MEALS I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME HERE. The steak sampler we had, with sides of honey gochujang carrots, and beautifully scalloped potatoes, left us in ecstasy! The four cuts of beef were incredibly tender, deftly seasoned, and seared to perfection. The accompanying sauces, except for the tomato one, were also really good. And I have even mentioned the twice baked potato or the BROCCOLI!!! YES, THE BROCCOLI!!! If you get nothing else, get yourself a burger and some broccoli-TRUST!!! I could go on, but I'll leave you with this...the parking is not pleasant, but the food is fantastic, the music is fresh, and the drinks are splendid. Starlite, you must be my lucky star. Super HUGE thanks to Dani, the chefs, and the crew for making Starlite so amazing. Enjoy my friends.

They apparently have happy hour all day on Sundays. I tried the peach mocktail and it was very yummy, so I appreciated the $5 off. For dinner, I ordered the branzino (the one on the menu and not the special). I was told while the one on the normal menu was $47, the special was $55 and the only difference between the two was the special would be lit on fire table side. I didn't feel the flames were necessary, so I skipped that. (However, the special did mention a sauce that I'm not sure was actually on the regular one, so I don't actually know.) A few minutes before the food came out, they asked if we wanted it all together or if it would be ok for my husband and our friends food to come out first since they were still finishing my fish. I said to just bring it out when it was ready, however they ended up bringing it out together anyway. The confusing part though, all of our meals weren't served warm? You'd think if they were waiting on mine to be done it would have been at least warm? It wasn't. The branzio was very plainly seasoned, tasted heavily of oil and was also somewhat dry? I got it with the whipped sweet potatoes, which was very creamy, which was unlike any way I've ever had sweet potatoes before, but they didn't taste particularly good? We each tried them and none of us could figure out what it was like, but we all agreed we didn't enjoy them. My husband got the arrecherea, it was fine, but also cold. The fries it came with was probably the best part, they were crispy even while being cold. Our friend got the stuffed Mediterranean Stuffed Pepper, his meal also wasn't warm, and he said some of the rice wasn't cooked all the way and it was hard. We also got the Puccia Bread & Spreads after seeing positive reviews. I normally love feta cheese, but the feta dip was kind of sweet? Same with the eggplant. The only spread that was good was the butter. Personally, I thought the bread was fine? But it was almost a bit doughy. Overall, we weren't very impressed with the meal. It had a lot of potential, but the food just didn't hit the mark.

First and foremost, the overall atmosphere of this restaurant is very festive. There's a full bar, plenty of seating, and there's always music playing in the background. In my most recent visit, we were initially directed to a table close to the bar. But one of the bussers kindly cleaned a larger table by the patio very quickly, then moved my parents and I. So we unexpectedly got a comfortable booth by natural light, how thoughtful! :') Food Highlights: - Grilled Octopus (5/5) - Char + flavor + texture made for a phenomenal appetizer to share - Señorial Non-Alcoholic Sangria (4/5) - this was terrific, but it's a bit pricy to order from here. You're better off buying this bev in bulk from Smart & Final - Chicharrón, Chips, and Guacamole (4.3/5) - Delicious! But I would have liked more chicarrón and guac, less chips. - Lenguado al Ajillo (4.7/5) - Crispy edges, but the flounder itself flakes beautifully. The garlic butter flavor isn't too overpowering and the corn cake that comes with this plate is on the sweeter side - overall, a fantastic dish! The staff is generally accommodating to reasonable requests. I actually asked for extra cilantro lemon rice and less beans. I didn't even mind the black beans lodged into the rice cause this still made for a well-balanced meal. If I'm in the greater San Diego area in the future, I'm determined to try one of their popsicle margaritas!
