We had our wedding that we needed our ties for the groomsmen within 2 weeks and we were worried they wouldn't get there on time. They showed up within 4 business days and even responded to an email that I had written concerning their arrival. The ties looked like they did on the site and worked perfectly fine for the event. Absolute lack of professionalism. Charged my card 5 times and told me it was declined each time yet my bank verified the charges. When I called back to let them know, I was verbally attacked, and yelled at by Mike, the manager. Before I begin my review, I want to make this very clear. This company was going to get 5 stars because I liked the quality of their merchandise and how quick they were to deliver. However, due to the lack of customer service my giving them a 1. First off, I was recommended by a person who is a frequent buyer. We both work in the hospitality field. I have always purchased my ties from other websites and stores but I decided to give Tie Outlet an opportunity because I was referred, I loved their prices and their reviews about the quality of their ties. I made my first purchase and received it within the next 3 days. I loved the quality of the ties! Sadly I was transferred to another building where I couldn't use the ties because they wear a different color. I returned the ties and asked for an exchange. They never, emailed me to tell me my new ties were on the way. When I went to pick them up they were not at the address I had them delivered to. I called the Tie Outlet and they told me they had delivered the second week of September. I went to the building where it was supposedly sent to and my package was missing. I called USPS and they stated it had been delivered. Due to traveling for work I was unable to get a hold with USPS nor someone at the Tie Outlet. I recently called during working hours and no one answered. I left two VM's and did not get a call back. I called on Tuesday and didn't get an answer. I finally got a called back yesterday from someone by the name of Justin/Dustin. I proceeded to tell him my situation. He advised me to call USPS and to file a claim with them because they unfortunately had nothing to do with it. I asked even if I filed the claim would I be able to get a refund or a new of ties, he stated no because it had nothing to do with them. By this time, Dustin/Justin was getting annoyed because I was asking a million questions. I asked for a manager and he stated he didn't have one. I told him as an associate someone is above him. He then stated, " my boss". So obviously you do have one. -_- . I asked for his name and he refused to give me his supervisors name. He proceeded to assume I was going to ask his supervisor the same thing. I've been working in customer service for the last twenty years. This isn't great customer service. The lack of professionalism has been thrown out the window. If an upset customer who's spending their hard earn money and investing in your business is asking you for a supervisor, you give them the name or at least transfer them to their supervisor regardless what was going to be said. At the end of the day, I'm disappointed in this business and I truly believe owners and supervisors should hire people who have a good resume in customer service or retrain these people who are supposed to represent their companies because this isn't it. I've lost money, I've lost time, I've lost ties. You will not be getting any of my hard earned money again. read more

Order arrived quickly and was professionally packed. I am so excited to gift these ties to my family members and groomsman for our wedding. The colors are PERFECT, - super close to what they look like online (which is no easy task - as a photographer, I know that keeping colors true to what they are online is hard, especially with consumers having various color spaces on their screens) I had a minor hickup with ordering and the guys I spoke with were super helpful and even called me back a few times when new information was available. I ordered 120 bow ties and 20 suspenders on a very last-minute need for an event we threw through Vice Media, and these guys REALLY delivered. Not only did we place to separate orders that arrived on the same date, but they worked personally with us to ensure delivery happened before the event. I could have given them 5stars at first bec the place was clean, organized and friendly. But what pisses me off is that they really dont tell you how much the items are until they charged you. I understand they got a policy to follow but if you know that the customers are already or almost close to the minimum $100 atleast a little heads up will be nice. Ok just an idea- in their warehouse , no prices are posted and they dont even tell you how much each. They will just charge you for the sample prices which is extra $1 per item from the wholesale price. In our case - one of their staff just packed all our items, charged us and didnt even explain to us how it works. All along we thought we were charged for the same price as what was posted in their website. If we knew that we were $5 down to reach the minimum if $100, we could have just added a few more stuff than them charging us extra $42 more ($1 per piece of each order). So an advice- if ever you visit their warehouse, do the math for yourself - bec you dont know they might charge you more than you know. It just really sucks that they dont tell you about the sample prices and wholesale prices. Plus - if they really value their clients - a little heads up or information about their minimum requirements could have helped us! So definitely - not coming back to this place or even ordering from this store! read more

I too was yelled out and was both verbally abused and written to on the internet abusively by Mike at Tie Outlet. I had placed an order in the cart for $120.00 and when I submitted it my credit card info disappeared but the order was still there. I called and questioned Mike about whether he actually could see from his end if the order went through. He proceeded to talk very abusively to me. I decided to order from another company in California whose customer service rep was very helpful and polite. When I sent a complaint to tie outlet on their website I was then contacted by Mike again who sent me the nastiest email ever. I responded & told him I had already ordered from another company due to his being so rude and nasty. He then sent me another nasty email & I told him not to contact me further. In my 38 years in business I have never run across a person as rude & nasty as Mike. The owner of this company would do good to get rid of him. He is definitely driving customes away. read more
