Business seemed slow.Lets just say I read reviews before going we figured the person complaining about the hostess ( Fatima) and the waiter! I'm pretty sure we got the waiter you were talking about! We sit down , the waiter doesn't give us his name, gets our drinks.Disappears forgets to give us straws. Had to wait again to get his attention.He seems simply annoyed he doesn't offer "hey,we got lunch specials, we got happy hour!" no conversations to engage with us. Had to wait again for him, to get our order in.We order, they forget my tortillas. He doesn't come by how's the food you need anything is everything here. Nothing, I'm missing my tortillas guess what! I have to wait again to tell him. My husband waved him down. He seemed bothered.I'm already almost done with my food finally got my tortillas.Unbelievable had to wait again to get the bill. So my husband and walked up to the cashier area.Im looking around to see who I can ask for a manager! I run into Ms. Fatima! I said "excuse me can I speak to manager?" She replies "no he's not here!" I reply " ok what's the managers name and the name of our server we had?" Fatima "him? his name is Andreas. Our manager is Tony Why , what do you need!" Her stanky face expression! I said " O just want names for our dinning experience," Not even a "I'm sorry, did you have a concern?" let me tell you! We are really good tippers when we feel good service was given. I come from a very Mexican community called Boyle Heights in Los Angeles, I know Mexican food. When my plate was placed in front of me I immediately noticed two things. Number one the tortillas were obviously microwaved when traditionally the tortillas should have been either oiled or dipped in lard and placed on the griddle to golden up a bit. These tortillas were cheap run of the mill store bought tortillas, thin and bland. Secondly the "carne asada" is not traditional asada. They gave me the cheapest diced up chuck when carne asada is supposed to be skirt steak or flank steak. I'm saying this so that the owner can improve the quality of food. The good people of Spring Hill deserve the best and most authentic Mexican food that our culture has to offer. I couldn't even finish my plate. I only had 1 and a half tacos out of 3. I've never in my life left a taco behind. In conclusion I bet if they went with a more authentic menu and got a chef that has pride in his culture they'd do a lot better as a restaurant. We enjoyed a pitcher of house margaritas that weren't watered down. They served us four full glasses, plus a full pitcher. We also enjoyed fajitas, quesadillas, nachos and street tacos.
