I had some jewelry I desperately needed cleaned and couldn't find an appointment in my area. So I resorted to making the appointment at the Pasadena location. What I didn't realize was that it was an appointment just to drop off the jewelry and make a payment ahead of time. This was massively inconvenient for me because I didn't anticipate having to drive all the way back to retrieve the piece. I have never had to drive so far and required to make an appointment for a simple cleaning only to be told that it needs to be dropped off for a later pickup. It was a Saturday afternoon and the store had ZERO customers. Like I was literally the only customer there. The times I have had cleaning done for my pieces never took more than 15 minutes at most for it to come out sparkling. Not warranting this sort of I have to return in 48-72hrs because it requires THAT much time for servicing. And on top of that, they now charge $20 for this garbage service. So I didn't hear back from the store even after 72hrs since dropping the item off. I ended up calling them myself to follow up. I was told they supposedly called my number but they were unable to get through. I had Brianna verify my number and they did have the correct numbers. I checked my call log but never received a single missed call from them. What really irritated me was that the stupid necklace was ready for pickup since Sunday. Literally the day after. Yeah no kidding.....as the piece doesn't require much effort to clean it. I had no time to drive all the way to Pasadena just to pick up the items until the following weekend. The interaction I had with the female associate made me hate Pasadena anything. I arrived at 10am and the she was very unfriendly and extremely condescending. The manner in which she verified my ID, number, my email address, and the kind of item I was there to pick it up was curt, brusque, and rude about it. Tiffany's used to have much better customer service and aftercare service. My experience at Pasadena all but solidified my sentiment of not wanting to ever buy another piece from them again. It's too bad because I was actually willing to purchase a piece or two I had been browsing while waiting. Way to miss out on a $6000-$10000 sale first thing in the morning! The Pasadena store has been my family's go to store since moving here for NYC over a decade ago. It's obviously much smaller than the flagship NYC store but still provides the exceptional service one expects from the brand. I've loved everything my husband has purchased for me from here and plan to pass them down to my daughter. We recently visited to pick up a special gift for her special upcoming birthday and they helped us from start to finish. There was a small issue with the engraving due to the machine experiencing a problem and without hesitation they pulled a new necklace and re-engraved it for us. Love this level of service. To quickly summarize: I came near Christmas and it was somewhat busy. I wasn't greeted or asked if I needed assistance for like 15 minutes but eventually when an SA got to me, she was very nice, patient, and helpful. This is a nice store and good location. There is a public parking structure across the street on the same block. The store itself is very large and (of course) lovely. We were greeted right away and helped (it was a Friday afternoon, so it wasn't very busy). The item we wanted to see was not on display - my husband showed the helper a picture from the website and she pulled it from their cabinet. So just because you don't see it on display doesn't' mean they might not have it! (I think the website DID show they had them in stock at the store). In the past I used to have to make a trip out to Beverly Hills but since they opened a location in Old Town Pasadena it's more convenient to come here. Yuan acknowledged my presence and informed me she would be with me shortly. When it was my turn, she gave me her full attention. I told her what I was looking for and she checked to see if they had it in stock. She informed me that they did not, but she could order it and have it shipped to the store for pick up. I told her that was fine, and she proceeded to process the order. She gave me my receipt, an ETA for delivery, and told me I would receive an e-mail when the order was in. A few days later I received the e-mail notifying me that my gift was ready for pick up. When I returned to the store, I received a friendly greeting by the security guard. The associate in the front asked if she could help me and I told her I was there for a pick-up. She told me she would let someone know and that I could wait at the table in the back area. Soon after another gal came out to assist. I showed her my e-mail confirmation, gave her my receipt, and she went back to get my order. She was also very friendly and helpful. On my way out everyone said "Good-bye" and "Have a nice day." You can also order from the company website. However, all my mail goes to my box at the UPS store and their policy is to only ship to a residence or work location to ensure you receive your item. I don't mind coming to the store. First time coming in to this location and I had a very pleasant experience. Parking was very convenient at the De Lacey garage and Tiffany's is right around the corner. The nice gentleman at the door saw me as I was approaching the store and he immediately helped me open the door. As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted. We came in Sunday, after checking out several stores. We were checking out & buying a ring for my mother. After 10 minutes of being in the store. Loud sirens & whistles were blown, a crowd of protesters came in protesting animal rights. For whatever reason they targeted Tiffany's. Taking photos/videos of us & our infant son. We ran to the bathroom. Several of the employees (very sweet girls) were checking on us, they profusely apologized, as if it had anything to do with them! They should have not been apologizing. They were swift about getting all of the customers out of the emergency exit, thankfully. The protest continued. My now-fiancé and I decided we would get our engagement ring from Tiffany's, and we did. We went about 3 weeks before purchasing to scope out their designs and see if it was anything we wanted. I generally like simple designs so all of their classics were appealing. It was a hot Saturday afternoon and we had been trudging around outside for a little bit. Dressed like bums and mildly sweaty, we wandered into Tiffany's and tried to avoid all of their sales associates because we just wanted to look around. There were already a few couples huddled by the engagement ring counter and we stood a little off to the side pretending to look at the other jewelry. One of the associates, Kyle, came over and asked us if there was anything he could help us with. He was very friendly and when we admitted we knew nothing about jewelry or diamonds, he proceeded to tell us about Tiffany's philosophy as well as the importance of the 4 C's. He also showed us a few rings in the Tiffany setting and Novo setting until we told him we had a good idea of what we wanted, and would be back. Finally we did, and I looked around for Kyle (apparently he was there and I missed him) and another associate, Joyce, came over to help us. We were still dressed fairly bummy (t-shirt and Nikes, no makeup!) and didn't really have issues with being ignored or blown off. She was extremely friendly off the bat and immediately grabbed Novo rings in a few different sizes for us to try. I told her we wanted something a little more modest (.5 ct) since I don't really wear jewelry, but my fiancé said we would look at slightly bigger diamonds (1ct+) too. Both of us are shy and clueless and Joyce's bubbly, albeit over the top, personality really helped us relax and fully enjoy the buying experience. Looking at some of the other reviews, I can see how her personality can be construed as patronizing or blunt, but from my experiences with certain Chinese folks, this is totally normal behavior. At least to me, it isn't offensive and I'm not sensitive to it. In the end we decided on a 1.11ct Tiffany Harmony engagement ring for about $22k after tax. Didn't feel pressured to buy a certain one and she didn't try to up sell us even bigger diamonds. She helped us double check our sizes for wedding bands (we'll be back to buy them!) as well as sent my ring out for resizing. She informed us that it would take 1-2 weeks and I told her I absolutely had to have it in 1, and she made it happen - purchased Saturday, picked up Friday evening. Provided chilled water both times we showed up, everything was wrapped beautifully, given cleaning/maintenance tips, told about their guarantee, their swap policy if I wanted a bigger diamond later on, lifetime cleaning, what to do and not to do with the ring, and if there are any issues to come back and ask for her. I was a little worried the ring might be too loose at it's loosest point, and Joyce said she would make sure I could get it resized again at no cost. Later on, I wanted some of the paperwork for the ring and she immediately sent it to me over text. We were also sent a thank you note via mail. I don't find most of their staff to be extraordinarily friendly, but at the same time, fake friendliness is more uncomfortable to me than casual indifference (like yahhh I know you're trying to sell me something, I get it). It's easy to tell many people walk into Tiffany's expecting to be treated like a king or queen, especially if they are planning on buying something, and are disappointed when they aren't and the resentment shows. If you don't expect this, most of the time you won't be disappointed. Bad service is bad service, i.e. being ignored, or flat out treated rudely, but not every comment and gesture needs to be taken as such. So many reviews run along the lines of - weren't "friendly" enough I'm never coming back! Sheesh. Had worse service at another store when we bought my watch when the SA wouldn't stop following us around even though I'm sure it was her job to do so. read more

I will agree with other reviews that all the people the work at the Pasadena location have this air about them that they are better than you. First visit, The security guard was very dismissive of any question you might have. Had a look on his face like he didn't want to be there. There was a line (COVID I get it) it was my turn to go inside before I could even step into the store I was stopped and a sales person asked what I wanted..." I want to spend money" what do they think I want?! I mentioned that there was a ring I wanted I know what it looks like, I saw it online so I was helped, long story short they didn't have the ring so I had to order it and have it delivered. The sale girl inputted my information incorrectly, I never got tracking number, had to call in. Then come to find out she inputted my address wrong as well! Delivery couldn't be done until I fixed the issue with fedex. A few days later - second visit. Yelp shows closing time at 7pm, I got there on at 6:05. All the barriers are closed, (same security guard) I asked him if they were closed, he nodded his head yes. So I said Yelp shows that this store is open until 7pm, he nodded no... USE YOUR WORDS. This is very rude you can't spare a second to answer a paying customers question? There needs to be a serious over view of the personnel in this location, serious retraining in customer service. A once in a lifetime event! I met Stephanie maybe 5-6 years ago when I visited Tiffany and Co in Pasadena. I was purchasing items for my wife and daughter for Christmas and Stephanie was incredibly helpful without being pushy. There was a pearl set consisting of a bracelet, necklace and earrings I planned for my wife, but it was unavailable as the set had been discontinued. Stephanie helped me to find a substitute gift just in case, then took my cel number and promised to search for the pieces to see if she could get the set for me before Christmas. After a week of searching, she located two of the three, but the final piece was in Paris and they would not ship it without considerable expense to me. We went with plan B. Over the next few years, Stephanie assisted me by finding specific pieces I found online, getting my orders together for a quick pickup and just being super friendly, informative and providing a wonderful Tiffany experience. She remembers the styles my wife and daughter like, their ring sizes and surprised me three years ago with a text saying, "I have the pearl set you wanted for your wife. We are making it again and I have it here in the store if you are still interested." Amazing! Stephanie goes well above and beyond any sales person I have dealt with in any industry. Still, the best was yet to come. I had texted Stephanie in March this year asking for two items I found online for my daughter's birthday. As usual, they were ready when I arrived and Stephanie showed me a few other gift ideas to keep in mind. Somewhere in the conversation, I mentioned the gifts were for my daughter's 21st birthday and Stephanie told me to please bring her in for a champagne toast! I had no idea this was even an option, but Stephanie was so excited about it, I decided I would reach out when my daughter's birthday came around. This event is what prompted my review. I have spoken to management there at the Pasadena location a number of times praising Stephanie, but this was so over the top, I felt compelled to do something more in appreciation. We arrived around 11 am to be greeted at the door by Stephanie, who introduced herself to my daughter, wished her happy birthday and asked her to please follow. We went into a room where a chilled bottle of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs and four glasses were placed, waiting for our arrival. Stephanie gave a lovely toast to my daughter then sat with us for a bit in pleasant conversation. She had two gift ideas with her that I had texted about in advance and proceeded to show them to my daughter. When my daughter had made her choice, Stephanie offered to give us some time alone, collected my wife and daughter's jewelry and left to go clean the pieces. Stephanie created an experience for my daughter and family that none of us will ever forget. We are just normal, everyday people, but when she interacts with you, she makes you feel like you are the sole reason that Tiffany and Co exist. When I texted her a thank you, she responded, "it is my honor to be part of her special Tiffany moment." She is absolutely amazing! It's the BLING BLING that every girl craves. The staff are quite friendly but I feel they are slightly pushy for a sale and if your only looking for silver they can careless if your there. It's the Gold and Platinum they are wanting you to buy. Granted Silver has gone way up in price. I've always liked their designs but now a days downtown LA is looking more of a bargain then you'll ever get at Tiffany's. I came here to polish my ring and they stated I needed it to be sent out which I don't understand. I could have sworn the one in Costa Mesa cleaned it several years back.
