This is the second time we've used the Tigard Handyman and he did a great job once again. The first time he helped us with a few electrical issues in our house, and this latest time we called him over to help fix our bathroom fan. He showed us which part to purchase online and then walked me through how to install it so I could just take care of it myself. The guy provides excellent services at a great rate, but he also goes out of his way to show you how to do things so you can do it yourself next time. Todd Ryan was wonderful until asked to return to fix a shoddy gate installation and remove useless wall outlet 5 ft. From floor which was supposed to be removed when Wall Ac was removed and hole drywalled and painted. He claims he is not an electrician so outlet removal not allowed. His gallery pics show light and fan installs. Not an electrician! I hired him and paid for his services for my daughter but he refused to do repairs for me...only her. This occurred when he wouldn't respond to calls and texts, (which is all I did because he doesn't check voicemail) from me and I had to track him down at his other place of business. Thankfully his boss intervened for me. He was very disrespectful to this elderly lady from out of state trying to help her family. He seems to lack training in customer relations. I wouldn't hire someone who has very little regard for consumers. read more

Todd and his team were great to work with. They are efficient, professional, very kind and knowledgeable. Todd converted part of my garage into an additional room. We had an appointment last Friday. I took the afternoon off from work, so I could be home for them. Just before the appointment time, they contacted me and said they had a flat tire and would be late. They never showed up. When I tried to reach them, they did not reply to my emails. Office was professional and got on the schedule in a reasonable time. The employees that came out arrived on time, worked quickly, and cared about quality. Todd and team have done two projects for us, including an outdoor mailbox installation, small drywall repair, and building extra storage space in our garage. All jobs were done amazingly well, quickly, and reasonably priced. Recent scheduling was a little tricky, I think they are very busy, and also may be working out some issues with their automated email system. However, this was not a problem for us as the quality of work was exceptional. They arrived on time, and cleaned up the work areas afterwards. We just moved in and we had the dreaded "pocket door off the track and roller wheels came undone from door" problem. The door was a specialty door with glass, heavy and a tricky repair. Todd arrived on time, assessed the issue, had professional tools, and he and his assistant Zach went right to work. They had to skillfully remove the wood trim to get the door off, fix the door and reassemble. They were very organized and clean. They then adjusted a shower door while they were here that I asked about as an afterthought. Very professional! He was awesome. My washer went out and was very busy and had no opening. I explained to him it was a emergency because I had surgery coming up and needed the cabinets raised higher for my washing machine. He was as able to come that night and raise my cabinets for the washing machine that was being delivered the next day. He did excellent works and very polite. read more

After a delivery truck ran over our mailbox, the delivery company sent Todd out to replace it. I'm so glad they did.
