After keeping my truck for two weeks and charging $2000, Tiger admitted didn't know how to fix it. If they had told me that from the beginning, I'd have no beef with them. My check engine light came on on my Dodge Charger. I took it to the dealer and they said it was a bad 02 censor and said they could fix it for a couple hundred bucks. I decided to wait and price check other places. Well, I was busy and never got around to it. About a month later my engine started to act funny so I took it to Amco and they said I was getting a misfire on one of my cylinders and it could be a spark plug or a bad coil. So I started making calls. Firestone wanted $650 for a tune up and possibly to fix the coil. The dealership wanted $700 just for the plugs. Frank quoted me $380! I take it here and asked them if they could replace to 02 censor while I'm here. They said they'll look at it and turns out nothing was wrong with it. They easily could have replaced it or not replaced it and charged me for it but they were honest which is hard to find. About 2 years ago (and I live across the street) I got to work in Brea and noticed I had a flat tire. I also needed some detailing done as I ran over white paint in an unmarked construction zone. I called to inquire about the tire and then asked if they could remove the white paint off my black car. Long story short they came to my office during working hours, picked up my car and returned it completely washed and looking like new. I think I paid a total of 150 bucks!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! the owner is a complete jerk and acts like he is always right. he talks down to you like you are and idiot and CANNOT keep his word, i dropped my car off at 9 and told him i had work at 4 and that i needed my car by then, he tells me oh dont worry itll be done way before then. so i call him at 3:30 and he tells me its not done so i tell him to call me when its done, well they close at 5 and i called at 5:20 and he was still there only to tell me the part they ordered doesnt fit. I've been to a couple different shops in the La Habra area and now I only use Tiger. This is by far the best automotive repair shop I take all my cars there and I have 10! Frank the owner is very professional and always calls me and tells me what's going on and keeps me informed. I had to take my car multiple times for the bad break job they did. My car still screeches loud after all the money I spent for my car. Never going back not even taking it back for asking to fix the bad break work. Should have paid a bit more and taken it to Honda dealership. Still may have to with this noisy break work. read more

DO NOT COME HERE! At least not to get your brakes changed! They supposedly checked my brakes and only needed to replace the front ones and my back ones were still good...after 4 hours I was able to take my car to school and when I parked I heard the brakes over the weekend the noise got even worse than how I first took my car in! I took it back and tell me it's the back ones now for $316...I went elsewhere and when they checked my cars brakes they told me they did a bad job in my front brakes! So avoid this place they are just trying to make money out of you by making things up! read more

These people are not to be trusted . My Wife took her Jeep to them to fix an oil leak and they told her that it would be better to replace the engine . They replaced her Jeep engine with a Dodge Van engine . We have had nothing but problems with it since . Yes the engines are similar, but now it is difficult to buy the correct, general maintenance, replacement parts . My Wife had to end up buying a new car . I normally don't write reviews but for this place I decided to write one. Out of nowhere one afternoon I was driving and my brakes sounded horrible, grinding really bad as if they were going to fall through my car. I was scared to drive it further than where I was. I happened to look around at my surroundings and noticed Tiger Automotive right across the street and there was a sign that said free brake inspection. I drove it there and was immediately greeted by a young man. He said he could hear the grinding from my front right tire. I asked him how much it would be to fix and he said $175 and if they had to replace the rotor it would be an additional $38 but they would see if they could save the rotor. Me being a girl showing up with my 2 daughters and not knowing a thing about cars I figured I would get charged for the rotor regardless. I asked if they had time to do them and they said yes, we can do it right now. No waiting which was great. I went to the waiting room with my kids and within 30 minutes or so the car was done and they said they were able to save the rotor. I walked out paying $175. I was very grateful for their honesty. I spoke with Frank the owner and he told me it was a little family owned business and his sons work there too. He put both his sons to work on my car at the same time so it would be done quicker. They seem like very honest people and I definitely recommend them for any automotive needs. I will definitely come here from now on and it's right by my house which is even better! I don't know what that negative review is about from Brianna below that has only reviewed one place. Maybe it was the owners son's ex girlfriend because the owner Frank is one of the nicest, most trustworthy and informative person when it comes to his work and automobiles. My whole family and I have been taking our cars, trucks, and motor homes here for years. When Frank says your car will be done at whatever time he tells you, it is in fact always done by that time. There has been one incident where it wasn't done because in deed the part they had did not fit, and they had to order another. Everything else on my car was finished, which is why the part was put on last. That's what you have to expect when getting your car repaired. Anyone that thinks other wise is an idiot. I've never not trusted Franks word or prices. He is beyond legitimate. I was skeptical at first like I am with all businesses, so I shopped around after I got a price from Tiger Motors and they are SIGNIFICANTLY lower than all the other shops in the surrounding area. The quality DOES NOT suffer because of the price. I have referred all of my friends here and they too have always had a great experience and great work to show. Try Tiger Motors out. Alright I've waited nearly a year to do this... I own a 68 mustang coupe and I've upgraded parts to better modernize the car. A new transmission radiator pertronix system and various other bits. I asked frank if they can rebuild a relatively new Holley carb, as after a near year of sitting around the seals were leaking. He said it was his family business and touted years of experience so he could rebuild it easily. I'm weary of new mechanics as I've had trustworthy ones for my car for years but he seemed trustworthy as he worked with his sons. I was wrong to trust him. After getting my car back it could not go over 30 mph. His excuse was I had to understand my car had modifications to it. I brought it back again after a tire fell off while driving slowly and the car couldn't go over 60mph. He refused to give me my money back and blamed other issues on prior mechanics which were phenomenal. He charged me around 450 dollars and after a year the carb is still in terrible condition. I had to replace a wheel hub bolt that got stripped after my tire fell off. He either had too much pride to refuse service which I would have preferred or a conman. Anyways I would never recommend anyone go to this mechanic. Still can't fathom why they worked on some of the things they did or why the hell they touched my tire. read more

I moved to La Habra 4 years ago, Frank is the owner of Tiger Automotive and he'll check and find out what your problem is and by far give you the most reasonable price. He'll also make reccomendations on the "root" of you automotive problem, ie: you need a master cylinder that was the root of your brake caliper problem or brake pads wearing out unevenly. Frank wants to repair your car so that it's running correctly. I had a 1992 Chysler New Yorker and he helped keep it running until this year when I bought a new car. I've seen Mercedes to old Toyotas in his bays, which tells me he knows cars. If he has to wait on a part that's not his fault, and trying to find parts for my old car I had to wait a few days a few times, but it was the right part for a 21 year old car.
