Bentley Continental GT W12 radiator replacement
    Markus A.

I have been taking my cars to Brea Auto Repair for approx. 12 years; including a 2006 Bentley Continental GT W12 Mulliner Edition and a 2006 Mercedes CLK350 (convertible). These older vehicles have required more maintenance/service as they've aged over the years. Bentley work has included starter motor replacement, twin turbo replacement (both), radiator, and the required and scheduled oil-filter maintenance. Spark plugs, etc on the longer intervals have been performed as per manual instructions. Likewise, the CLK350 has been maintained and serviced meticulously over the years as scheduled. Not only are the vehicle service visits far lower costs than from their respective dealers, but lower overall then competing qualified auto mechanic shops---- but the trust I have with the mechanics at Brea Auto Repair is not equal, as they are more than qualified to service these cars. I rarely rate any business a 5/5 but this is the one exception I will make. I highly recommend this vehicle repair facility to meet and exceed anyone's expectations.

The work he does on my exotic is amazing, and he never overcharges me for it.

I've been taking all my cars here for years and Ruben always knows what the issue is and always does it cheapest, I shop around a lot. He's very well versed in european cars as well, and even when I think it's going to be expensive, it's extremely reasonable.

Not a good fit for major repairs.

So sorry, but Doug is not up to par any longer. he spends most of his day playing computer games and smoking at his desk; you feel like you're bothering him if you come in for business. his most experienced mechanic is not physically able to bend and kneel as of recent, so no one could repair my car. What a sad shame and waste.

Brea Auto is the absolute best place ever! Here I found I found experienced and knowledgeable mechanics that have worked on 1965 and older vehicles. Kevin helped identify the safety issues and was patience to explain any questions. His knowledge helped provide more options. Today with the direct help of Brea Auto, I can drive my 1965 Chevy Surburban Carry-All K10, with confidence and safety. Before taking it here, the vehicle would be hard to start, flood easy, unsafe fuel lines/filters. (This was even after having other mechanics help bring it back to life.) Today, the Chevy still runs great! The side steps Doug and Denny made have a clean awesome look. The side steps make it easy to get it and out of the truck. With the help of Kevin, he was able to help identify future problems and help me learn to keep the vehicle maintained without breaking my budget. It is fun to drive now! If it was not for Brea Auto, the Chevy would still be back sitting in some storage-rusting away. Thanks Brea Auto!

This guy is the best! Explained everything to me after I said I was an engineering student and only charged for the goodies.

He is Neel the owner (as you might've guessed) of this establishment on Imperial Hwy, which is thankfully not too far from us. He diagnoses quickly, gets the job done efficiently, charges reasonably compared to other mechanics we've gone to in the area, and above all is a man of integrity--he's allowed us to pay for certain repairs days later to make sure our car is running properly first. He is transparent about his shop's limitations (they don't do German cars but refer us to highly rated shops nearby). He is clearly very experienced and knows how to weigh the best repair options, especially for older vehicles. I plan on relying on Neel for years to come. Cheers!

They were busy but insured me it would only be about two hours for an oil change, break inspection, and tire rotation. Got a call about an hour later from Neel himself saying my Rav 4 was ready to go and didn't hassle me about doing any additional work, which I feel you get every time at a mechanic shop. It was a great feeling to just get the service and feed back you requested. Thanks Neel and Hector for the honestly, professional input, and transparency. Look forward to working with your company in the future. Only downside is parking. Be patient and you'll find one.

WARNING: Local Honesty vs. Corporate Corruption…read more I am sharing this as an act of service to the community. I have been driving for over 30 years and have never once experienced a shop completely omitting a vital engine part for a simple oil change--until now. The Incident: Before this incident even occurred, I had opened a Firestone credit card and started moving all of my family's vehicles to this location because of the excellent customer service provided by the store manager, Brian. I was an established, loyal customer. That trust was shattered when I brought one of my cars for a simple oil change in August 2025. Months later in May 2026, I had another facility perform the subsequent oil change and they discovered that Firestone had completely left out the oil filter element. My vehicle was driven for a few thousand miles with absolutely zero oil filtration, cycling road grit and abrasive contaminants directly through the engine block. And now has a loud engine noise. The Local Response (The Good): When I discovered the error and contacted the shop, Brian was incredibly sympathetic and professional. He took immediate accountability, explicitly promised me a full service refund, spoke directly with the staff members who messed up, and assured me that steps were being taken so this would never happen again. Brian handled a crisis with genuine integrity. The Corporate Bad Faith (The Ugly): The nightmare began when the case was handed to Bridgestone Corporate Claims because I requested an internal engine inspection and test. Dealing with them has been a masterclass in unresponsiveness and open contempt. A customer service representative actually hung up on me when I tried to complain about the missing oil filter. More shockingly, corporate actively stepped in and reneged on the refund Brian promised me. Brian later had to inform me that corporate headquarters explicitly instructed him not to provide the $90 refund. Forcing a local manager to break his word to an established, card-holding customer is deeply unethical. Corporate completely failed this relationship. The Reality: After researching this online, I realized this is a shockingly common corporate playbook for them: deny, delay, and stone-wall the customer until they get exhausted and go away. I engaged the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) which has opened a formal investigation into this facility. If you have experienced corporate negligence, cut corners, or unfair business practices, do not let them get away with it. Report a complaint with the BAR. You can easily file a complaint online. The BAR actually investigates these facilities, and it is the only way we can force corporate giants to have some accountability. Brian is a good manager, but he is trapped working for a predatory corporate system. When a company ignores a clear mistake, it feels deeply personal. It's not just about the $90 fee; it's about the fact that they essentially gaslight you, pretending a major mechanical error and negligence didn't happen while you are the one left with the anxiety. This story is not over and I'll provide an update later.
