They took the time to explain the repair, confirmed the diagnostic code, and even pointed out a few things I should do to help my Prius last longer. They noticed my hybrid battery cooling fan was missing after I told them I just had it "replaced" at another shop. That's the kind of information you don't usually get from a repair shop. They ended up not needing to drop the subframe, so they adjusted the labor instead of charging me for work they didn't have to do. It still took the amount of time they said it was going to take, but still discounted me a little bit which I thought was cool. I also had them do an oil change while it was there, and even that was less expensive than what I normally pay at places like Jiffy Lube or Valvoline. If you own a Prius or any hybrid, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. More than anything, I left feeling like they genuinely know these cars and took the time to educate me, not just fix it. I'll definitely be bringing my Prius back if I ever need anything else.

It was not. He was wedged in there for 12 hours with no food, no water, and zero litter box access. He was absolutely losing it. I ran through every option. Fire department? Busy with the actual chemical explosion rattling all of OC, fair. Animal control? Ghosted me. My cousin, currently out of the country, tried Tesla Roadside Assistance through the app. Tesla's answer: their technicians are not trained to rescue animals. Noted, but deeply unhelpful in the moment. Two other mechanics passed too. Jesse was my third Yelp attempt and my last real option. He showed up within two hours, no fuss, and got straight to work. He tried everything - the frunk, underneath, removing the right wheel - methodically working different angles for an hour and a half because my cat had chosen the most inconvenient possible position to be chonky in. Jesse stayed patient the entire time and got him out safely. My cat is home. He is fine. He is completely unbothered, as cats are. Jesse showed up when nobody else could. That is not something I will forget. Oh, and his prices are insanely reasonable. If you need a mechanic who will actually show up and problem-solve, Jesse is your guy.

Over the following three weeks, I sent multiple text messages and called several times, all of which were ignored. After getting nowhere, I called from a different number--and suddenly Jesse answered. His excuse was that he had been "busy." I asked him to send me my money back and he hung up and blocked my number. In total, nearly two months passed after he took my money with no communication, no follow-up, and no attempt to complete the service. Being busy may explain a delayed response. It does not explain ignoring a paying customer for over two months while continuing to keep their money. That is not poor time management; it is poor business practice. There was an $80 diagnostic fee, so technically I am only out $40. Financially, it is not a huge loss. Professionally, however, it says everything I need to know about this business. A reputable business does not take payment, fail to complete the agreed-upon service, ignore every attempt at communication, and then offer excuses only after being reached from a number it does not recognize. The motorcycle needed a diagnosis, but the bigger problem turned out to be the business itself: unreliable, unresponsive, and completely lacking in accountability. I would not trust Jesse with my motorcycle again, and I certainly would not recommend paying him anything upfront.

He ordered the part directly from Acura and quoted me a fair price. My car was ready the following day, but when I arrived to pick it up, Francis informed me that my vehicle had been involved in an accident while in his care. He explained that another driver had been speeding through the parking lot and crashed into him. He gave me the other driver's information, and I contacted him immediately. The other driver gave a very different version of events. He stated that he was backing out of a parking space and did not see Francis. He also told me that Francis provided his driver's license information but refused to share insurance information. Now, more than a month later, I still have a damaged vehicle and have not received insurance information from Francis despite multiple phone calls, text messages, and outreach from Mercury Insurance. I trusted this shop to take care of my car, not return it to me in worse condition and leave me responsible for a $500 deductible. What has been most disappointing is the lack of accountability and urgency. Francis acted as though this situation was not a major concern and repeatedly assured me that the other driver would "take care of it," which has not happened. According to the other driver, Francis even asked him to change the story about what happened. I chose this business because of its strong reviews and the image Francis presents, but my experience has been extremely stressful and disappointing. I believe customers deserve honesty, transparency, and responsibility when their vehicle is in someone else's care.

I'm so thankful ChatGPT directed me to Tire Outlet. The moment I pulled into the parking lot, I was greeted with smiles and employees who were eager to help. The manager personally took care of me, and from the very beginning, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The speed of service really impressed me. About a year ago, I brought my car to a different tire shop in Fullerton for another leaky tire and ended up waiting 2 1/2 hours before anyone even looked at my car. Today's experience couldn't have been more different. While I relaxed in Tire Outlet's clean, comfortable waiting lounge and got some work done on my laptop, they had everything taken care of in about 15 minutes. Then came the biggest surprise of all. They told me my tire didn't need to be replaced after all--they were able to fix it easily by hand. And when I went to pay, they insisted on not charging me anything. Seriously... who does that these days?! I was blown away. That level of honesty and integrity is incredibly rare. I was about two hours from home, and ended up with a hole in my tire that needed fixing before I could drive back. They told me to arrive by 6:30 p.m. since they closed at 7, and I got there just in time. While the actual replacement process was smooth and the tires look fine, I only found out from the paperwork afterward that they were supposedly "balanced". Unfortunately, the car hasn't been driving right since. The steering feels off, it's jerky, and turns are more difficult than they should be. Clearly, something is wrong with the balancing or the installation. I'm concerned that because I arrived so close to closing time, the job may have been rushed. If they can't do a thorough job that late in the day, they really should stop taking new customers earlier rather than rushing through the work. In short, while the staff was accommodating in terms of timing, the end result was that my car doesn't drive properly now. For that reason, I wouldn't go back.

It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

My experience with this business was extremely disappointing due to consistently unprofessional and disrespectful conduct from the staff. In particular, one of the newer mechanics, Carlos, behaved inappropriately by making remarks in Spanish (español) that appeared to be directed at me under the assumption they would not be understood, while laughing in my face and acting dismissively throughout the interaction. Another employee engaged in similar behavior, contributing to an overall environment that felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. When I attempted to ask questions regarding my vehicle, my concerns were not acknowledged and my questions were largely ignored. At the same time, the same employee had no difficulty communicating clearly and respectfully in English when speaking with his supervisor, Mr. Lee. This inconsistency in communication and demeanor was both frustrating and unacceptable. Overall, I did not feel that customer concerns were taken seriously, nor was there a willingness to listen, explain, or engage in a professional manner. The level of service and professionalism fell significantly below reasonable expectations. I was required by the DMV to do a Brake and Lamp Inspection on my vehicle these guys are quick and very friendly not to mention the best price in town! go see them. for inspection and all your mechanical needs. He didn't bother diagnosing the vehicle properly. Just to run the engine and magically decided it's the timing chain. Claimed he didn't want to touch the car and refused service. Turns out it was the pulley that was severely cracked and needed replacement (not the timing chain). I've been to many mechanics and this guy is the worst by far. If he didn't want to diagnose a certain brand of vehicle, he could've told me that during the initial conversation over the phone.

I called Pops and Sons and not only did they give me a fair price, they let me come same day. I got there within 15 minutes of calling, and I was out of there in about an hour. Very reasonable pricing and all of the workers there were extremely friendly. They even had a taco truck there that day for their shop an another shop and they gave me free tacos while I waited for my car to be worked on. The tacos were amazing btw. I definitely plan to continue to come here in the future.

Super knowledgeable, honest, and trustworthy. I ended up moving a bit further and selling that car, so I haven't been needing a specialty shop until recently. I stopped by with my current car just to make an inquiry, and honestly, I left way more informed than I expected. For a walk in (as didn't have an appointment) Leo took the time, and explain things about the vehicle, which I really appreciated. Thank you, Leo, for all the info and help! Very knowledgeable about these cars and thus why I can see it's their specialty! I didn't get to see Ubaldo this time, but I'm sure he's still doing his thing. My most recent visit, I had brought my Mercedes and had them perform labor only for an oil change, they charged me $70! For only labor which was ridiculous mainly because I had my other vehicle serviced for an oil change and had them use there products and was charged $80. Will never come back again.

I made a request for an appointment online and got an email a few hours later telling me to not…read moremiss my appointment. Phone number didn't work for me to confirm so I just went with it. They didn't confirm I had an appointment but saw me right away. Super cheap, friendly, told me my car was in great shape (besides few things that needed regular maintenance). Didn't get a quote while dropping my keys (oops) and came back to a handwritten slip that I thought said $8XX.XX and was like "ugghhhh" but also "I guess it's about the same as the dealership". And he says "$8X.XX".... I was literally expecting to pay 10x more, hahaha. Now the TMI-soppy-BS...The guys working here made me feel at home. Not like offer me water/food, but the way they treated you. Not to get sappy, but my father passed away a few years ago and he used to handle all things car related for me. His birthday was a few days ago and I've been in this weird funk. The older man helping me totally reminded me of my father: slight communication barrier, mannerisms, speech, everything. I nearly cried in front of him when he reacted to something I said because it was identical to what my father would have done. Fortunately I held it together just long enough to get in my car, back out, and flood works. 100% coming back here for future work on my car.
