The menu has most of the popular TS drinks including the famous brown sugar tea. We ordered multiple drinks. It was prepared within a short time. Quick and friendly service. Loved the taste of their drinks. This is the first I was in a TS store that had bakery items. I got a couple of egg tars and puffs. Both items were amazing quality. Egg tars had such delicious yolk. Bubble tea was ok, though the tea was very bitter at 50% sugar one time, and the next time was good, so rather inconsistent? Puffs were good, filled when you order them. Fried chicken cutlet was initially hot and crunchy, but there was a large wishbone or similar on one side, had to spit out what I was eating as I ended up almost piercing my tongue with a piece of shattered chicken bone. Honestly I just found out TS also sell snacks and sweets. They have egg tarts, chicken cutlet, popcorn chicken (combo with fries). We don't have that in NJ location. I especially liked the strawberry egg tart and croissants, though the croissants were quite small--they looked more like mini croissants. I first heard of Tiger Sugar a couple of years ago, when it was being touted as the new "it" bubble tea chain. Besides their products being aesthetically pleasing, Tiger Sugar advertises that they have a special process to cook their syrups and tapioca pearls that sets them apart from their competitors. I do partake in bubble tea every once in a while; there are a few spots near my home and my work I go to whenever I'm in the mood for something sweet. I noticed this TS recently opened near my office, and a few of my colleagues were curious to check it out - so off we went. Like most bubble tea spots I've been to, TS is not large - it's actually a bit smaller than other spots since they do not offer any seating. Still, the space has an open feel due to the light colors and effective decor they use. Immediately upon entry, we were greeted with an ordering kiosk, which we utilized to place our order. Since it was my first time, I wanted their signature bubble tea: brown sugar milk tea with boba, pearl, and cream mousse. After a short wait, our teas were ready. I thought the tea was great - it was a bit too sweet for my personal taste, but that comes with the territory of what I ordered (I usually like only 30% sugar, and this definitely tasted like a higher sweetness content). The boba they used were also smaller than I've seen in other places, which I don't think is necessarily better but provided a unique mouthfeel. Service was fast and friendly, and overall I thought Tiger Sugar put out some good tea (in addition to some great Instagram opportunities). I'm curious to see what other types of tea they offer, so a return visit is definitely in order. read more

Very small location, with around 5-7 seats, but went in and ordered immediately with the cashier. It smells intensely sweet inside the restaurant! I got the Tiger Mango Sago, but it wasn't super sweet and there was a ton of sago, and some cream on the top that came out when I poked it. I definitely think next time I'll try the brown sugar boba, as that's what they're known for, but I wasn't in the mood for something excessively sweet. There were chunks of mango and sago and some other type of jelly that were pretty good, but also a ton of ice, so maybe will ask for less ice for any other drinks. Super happy that more bubble tea stores are opening in the midtown east area! Tiger Sugar in general is a very quality brand that specializes in their brown sugar milk tea lattes, and you'll find very aesthetic drinks that taste sweet and rich. This location is cool because you can order Taiwanese fried chicken from Chunky Boss at the same time. Their drinks are $7 and up, credit card minimum is $10 so it's more fun to come with a friend. I got a mango one and my friend got a taro one, I'm happy with the types of fruits and syrups they include because even if they're frozen, they feel fresh. When I went they only had one girl on staff taking orders and making drinks, so it felt a little slower to get my drink than expected, but it turned out delicious. Happy to come back! read more

I just found Tiger Sugar open up in this area. This location is offering promotion this month, and I got a free coffee milk tea from the first time visit. The vibe is slow comparing to other locations. Staff seems a little bit bored because it's slow. The coffee milk tea is good and worth to try it out. But it does not make me feel surprised.. I work nearby and come here often, I also like their location in ktown. But last time I ordered 2 brown sugar teas as usual, and 1 with cream mousse for my co-worker. There was no mousse there at all, although it costs more (we even removed the top film to check it) so it made me upset. Was out for a lunch break and only brought my credit card and phone with me. Credit card minimum is $10. When the employee asked if i have cash, i said no. He still let me pay with my credit card and directed me to make a selection on the tip screen (in the era where everyone (including Starbucks now) asks for a tip, I added 15% to the credit card swipe machine. (Not going to fault the employee on this one; he doesn't make the store policies)). Think about what this store sells - how many times are you going to pay (including tip) more than $10 for one bubble tea drink? Unless you are ordering more than 1 drink. $10 minimum for credit card usage is pretty steep for a store that pretty much only sells bubble tea/drinks and is in a midtown east location that is mainly going to be visited by the workers nearby buying 1 drink at a time. For a brand with locations throughout the country (Tiger Sugar is no small business), trying to not accept credit cards intentionally when most other bubble tea stores do regardless of amount seems a bit out of touch (i.e. you are not a supermarket where most people will spend more than $10 in one visit). read more

The sign out front says "buy a drink get a free coffee". We bought two drinks but paid together. They only gave us one free coffee coupon, as they said it's one per order. The sign out front clearly says free coffee with a purchase of a drink. So if we both ordered and paid separately we would get the two free coffees that the sign out front said? The sign did not say anything about per order, it clearly said free coffee with an order of a drink.
