Famous Taiwanese bubble tea! Great tea selection and good boba texture. This location also serve puffy egg cake (original or flavored). Somewhat similar to what I used to have as a kid, it's good. I had TieGuanYin Oolong Tea. Authentic tea flavor. Very strong. Not water down. It comes with boba but it's not enough for me. Next time I will order extra boba. It's take out store. 2 kiosks for order then you wait to pick up. It's a small store. Need to move around so people can come in and put their orders. Overall they are efficient. This TP Tea store is for take out only. When I walked inside the store, there was just enough space for few people to use both self ordering kiosk and wait for their drinks. The small pickup area was just on the other side. It was next to couple of cup stands, for those who really wanted to have their drink inside the store. Alongside the drinks, this store also had TP Egg Cake available in the menu. They were also giving free boba for Fifa World Cup. We ordered four drinks and a set of the egg cake with custard. Took the staff members 28 minutes to prepare the drinks and the cakes. The cakes were really yummy!!! They had fluffy outer layer with delicious sweet custard inside. I had ordered the Yuzu four seasons tea with boba and housemate lychee jelly. Sadly the lychee jelly never made it in the cup. The bobas were smaller in size which I didn't mind, but the quantity of boba was much less than usual, per my friend. We figured maybe because they were giving it for free for the World Cup promotion. The yuzu four season tea itself tasted good. YESSSS. TP Tea is finally open in Manhattan!!! I've been to their Flushing location, and after trying it twice I realized it's not as good as their West coast counterparts. This location really lives up to the name though. Their milk teas are immaculately blended. I got the boba black milk tea. Pearls were solid, too. Their osmanthus flower tea was also INSANELY good. That is some of the best fruit tea I've ever had. Wow. Also highly recommend the osmanthus jelly with it. I NEED TO COME BACK HERE!!!!!!!!! read more

The moment you step in, the fragrance of bubble tea is in the air. Sweet and warm, perfect for cooler weather days. The ordering kiosk is fairly quick, though prob easier to customize with the actual person behind the counter. No seating available. You can customize sugar level, ice level, and even strength of tea (that's a new one). I got the Taiwan classic with boba, grass jelly, and noodles. It's a lot! With the regular level, it's a solid flavor tea. I can only imagine what the bold one would be. At 50% sugar, it was the right amount of sweetness that triggered childhood satisfaction. I would go for 30% next time for health reasons. We also got their mini cakes, plain. They were so fluffy and cute. read more

a very small boba shop in the heart of Columbus circle! Can get super packed so I'd recommend ordering beforehand for pickup. Pretty standard menu with fruit teas, milk teas and such. Got the brown sugar milk tea and the yuzu fruit tea. Both were pretty good but could def use a little more sugar hahah it felt like a diet version lowkey. Drinks were about average price and the wait time wasn't too bad. There weren't many options in the area which is why I stopped by here but it isn't a place I'd go out of my way for. read more

Underrated Taiwanese tea that ACTUALLY taste great! So happy they opened an Manhattan location. Been a fan of their Flushing location for a while and the drinks at this new location maintained the quality. Easy to order in store or in advance online via snackpass. Everyone was helpful. A fast-causal place to grab a delicious drink. I like the vibes there: chill, clean, minimalist. My personal favorites include the tea ones because I can pick STRONG TEA base, which you don't see elsewhere really. The milk tea ones are delicious. The coffee jelly is also a great topping to add. The tie guan yin iron goddess of mercy tea is one of my favorite tea base. Downside to beware: The Taiwanese little cakes do take a bit to order just like bubble waffle. So expect to wait if there are alot of people ahead of you. read more

Was so excited to see we have a TP Tea in Manhattan! I came by opening weekend for their BOGO 50% deal. They have a great selection of drinks (the strawberry smoothie is my favourite from Irvine - don't think they had that at the Flushing location, at least the couple times I've been!) and service is efficient. I haven't heard of TP Tea until a friend brought it up at work! Very solid drinks and toppings and I love their ability to customize your drink more so than other places. For example, they have a wide range of sugar levels, such as 15% and 30%. You can also specify if you want stronger vs lighter tea. They have more types of toppings to offer such as the tea jelly, QQ noodles, and lychee jelly, in addition to your classic topping options. I was feeling tea tea so I got the oolong tea with tea jelly. It was appropriately sweet for the 15% option and the tea jelly was very solid and strong with black tea flavors! The oolong was strong as well which was perfect for me. My friend's osmanthus green milk tea featured a good floral aroma with chewy lychee jelly. I liked how the jelly had its own prominent lychee flavors, and went well with this drink combination. I also appreciated how the milk tea wasn't too heavy. This is a kiosk order grab and go spot. No seating available and it quite small inside. The wait was a bit long. It seems like their in store operation is not quick enough. I preordered through UberEats and thought it would be faster but once I arrived I still had to wait another 15 mins or so. It's a popular spot and I see why. The drinks refreshing and the egg cakes were freshly made. I would come back if the wait wasn't so long! read more

I ordered through DoorDash for pickup. It was so easy and was ready when I got there. You can also order on the kiosk when you get there. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait. It's a small place and no seatings. I have seen the Flushing branch but haven't tried it. This location is across from the Columbus Circle Shops and close to trains. I got cream foam strawberry with boba. It was very good and tastes fresh. The boba is good also, with the right amount of chewiness. The Yuzu Osmanthus green tea is good too. Their teas are really flavorful. They have an option when you order to choose if you want your tea to be light, regular or strong. That is great because I like it strong. I've not seen that option anywhere else, very unique. You can customize sugar level and ice level also. I would definitely include this place for bubble tea options. read more

Every time I find myself at a boba shop (because my gf or Asian friends drag me), I try to the item that makes them most distinct. For most places it's easy because half the work is done by the shops to distinguish themselves from their competitors but TP Tea has been slipping under my radar. What is this mysterious drink I'll find? Is there even one? Find out on the next paragraph of "Bounty for Boba". Well it turns out I didn't have to do any of the work. My gf was eager to go out of her way to try their Taro Something Boba. The something is irrelevant but what's really the star of the show was the taro. Or rather-- TARO PASTE! She ended up not liking it but the drink was flavored by a densish mildly sweet taro paste. It had the structural integrity of a plantain but softer so it wasn't hard to drink through a straw. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Honestly it gave the experience more of a dessert than a drink. The second time we happened to find ourselves here we saw a seasonal lychee something item. The lychee something is irrelevant because I asked for zero sugar and it was still sweet as hell. I guess the base flavor is sugary, iunno. But the strawberry smoothie she had was delicious! It was sweet, smooth, creamy, and subtle. It might be one of the r best strawberry smoothies I've ever had. It reminded me of when I was a kid and could really enjoy a smoothie guilt free. It didn't have that problem where it was too thick or too icy, the texture was just right. My gf gets these things with oatmilk, so that might helped with the consistency. read more

I have heard great things from West Coast food influencers about this place, so I am very excited that they have opened a location in Manhattan! Of course, I got the Tie Guan Yin milk tea and the classic Taiwanese milk tea (3 toppings). The Tie Guan Yin is so aromatic and roast-y, very strong tea despite choosing the regular tea strength, and not watery. The classic Taiwanese milk tea with three toppings is a classic for a reason, plenty of toppings with different textures and shapes, such a fun drink, it truly reminds you of childhood. Definitely will be returning to try more of their offerings! read more

The staff stated the cash register is not working and currently unable to accept either credit or debit cards, but cash only payments. It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items. Takeout menus are available for grabs. Loyalty card is available which also serve as business card where the back is printed in gold foil. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit at Port Authority 42nd Street's A, C, E trains and buses near the peripheral of Times Square.

I walked in on a Sunday around 5pm and it was empty. $8 for a soft serve is quite pricey but you can get 20% off if you order a drink. The soft serve itself was smooth and had a nice tieguanyin flavor, but a tad on the sweet side and I would've like it if the flavor was a little more intense. The portion is generous as it should because it's $8! I used my spoon to eat it and there were ice cream completely filled from top to bottom. Overall, it's not a must get item whenever I'm in the area given the price but it's a nice treat every once in awhile.
