Love love love this new sushi place in town. I'm a die hard sushi lover and I was so excited to try out this new sushi restaurant. I was amazed how delicious and fresh sushi was which I didn't expected such a supreme quality of sushi in my town. I tried so many different sushi places over the course of my life and I can say this is one of the best places I have ever tried and it makes me so happy I find the place right around the corner in my house. Roll and nigiri, rice was perfectly cooked and fish was so fresh it was melting in my mouth. I know some people might say it is little pricy but If you are a truly sushi lover, it is totally worth to spend. There is way more expensive places if you want to have similar quality of sushi. All the workers there was so friendly and welcoming and I loved the overall atmosphere of simple yet very elegant vibe. Please go head and try this new place in town. Promise you that you won't regret!!!

Stopped by for a quick lunch, it was really quick service and the waitress was incredibly nice and attentive! We've passed by it a few times and always loved the decor outside looking in. The tigers and flowers in the front window are so cute. The whole place felt really nice, it all felt really new, clean, and well maintained. The food was great, fish really fresh and tasty! The rolls have the perfect amount of rice, which I love because I find many sushi places wrap with too much rice. This was perfect! The tempura vegetables with the lunch special were delicious, my favorite was the huge mushroom piece and the asparagus. Their sake is also incredibly smooth, had a glass to go with lunch. It was amazing! Highly recommend the lunch special if you have time to stop by!

Great authentic sushi. On the high end of pricing but best quality I had in Great Neck. We had Toro and torched Waygu and King Salmon. A Great Neck Gem!

This feels more like a 4 1/2-star experience…read more We had a lovely dinner at Kissaki this evening. We started with an espresso martini, which was excellent--smooth, well-balanced, and a great way to kick off the meal. My husband and I each took a few sips before I remembered to snap a photo--always a good sign. For appetizers, the wasabi rock shrimp and spicy tuna crispy rice were both standouts--fresh, flavorful, and nicely executed with great texture. We also ordered the 10 piece nigiri flight, which was consistently impressive. The fish tasted fresh across the board, with the uni being a highlight--rich, creamy, and exceptionally fresh. The shrimp tempura roll was delicious--crispy and well-balanced. The only dish that didn't quite land for us was the ebi hamachi futomaki. It wasn't bad, just not a favorite for my husband--I only remembered to take a photo when we were nearly finished. From the kitchen, we shared the black cod and sea bass--both outstanding. Tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked--definite highlights of the meal. For dessert, we shared the peach cobbler, which was a great finish. Warm peaches with hints of bourbon and cinnamon, paired with Japanese vanilla ice cream--comforting and well-balanced. Service was warm throughout, and the quality of the food was evident in nearly every dish. While it leans toward the higher end in price, the overall experience fell just shy of a full five stars--but was nevertheless very enjoyable.

The Sea Bass is outstanding and is a must try; flavorful (no strong fishy smell/taste), super soft and tender, like cutting warm butter with a fork. Another must is the Matcha Tiramisu, outstanding and unique! I am not a matcha lover and this was one of the best deserts I've had! The lights are dim, there's live music certain nights, comfy intimate seating and a modern flair. Service was excellent, the waitress was extremely helpful and patient with us. Parking is limited and a task in itself, so plan accordingly.

But what missed the mark for me was the "room for improvement" on a few things. The ramen was decent, broth was not packing enough umami for me. The extra noodle portion was ample. Overall the ramen just lacked that oomph factor but it's a decent noodle soup otherwise. The other item was the poke bowl we ordered. It sounded great on the menu but arrived a bit disappointing. The bowl was only half full and skimpy on the rice and ingredients in general. While it offers so many choices and includes a variety of items in three categories - it doesn't justify the portion. I believe you get more at standard poke place. Now onto my sashimi deluxe. It came with a bowl of rice but not with miso soup. I realized it when I got the bill. Many places have entrees that come with soup or salad (my bad for assuming). Overall food was good so no complaints there. I just wished the proportion was to par. On that note, I've ordered from them many times for home delivery and they are very good with packaging and delivery times. Despite my rating on this visit, it's still a solid spot to dine in.
