Flat, without the S. This place could definitely be four stars for me, but after three visits I can't quite give it that. I think the thing that has brought me here for repeat visits is convenience. Online ordering is a big plus for me, especially at a place like this, where you select each ingredient for your menu choices. My first visit I didn't use the online ordering feature, but just came in and verbally gave my order at the counter. It's pretty loud in the place so I am guessing they didn't hear me ask for lettuce on my burrito, or then again, maybe they forgot to add it when making it. The tomatoes were scarce also. Other than those two things the burrito wasn't bad. My second visit, I opted for a taco and enchilada combo utilizing the online ordering feature. I recommend this, especially if you need to familiarize yourself with the menu. I noticed on the website that the menu section is missing quite a bit, but if you go to the online section, you see a lot of options not on the site's menu. I like that I can choose all beans instead of beans AND rice. As for the enchilada, I was not impressed at all. It tasted like it was thrown together. I was curious about how they served that given my first visit, and as I suspected this was not an enchilada that was baked with loving care. I like the smack my ass sauce, yet it's a sweet flavor, and I haven't found the best menu item for it yet. It didn't work here. My third visit, I thought would give the burrito another go. It was Throwback Thursdaze (sic), so they had the $5.99 burrito and chips with drink deal. At that price, I was able to add the guacamole for the chips, which was really great. This time, they made the burrito correctly. Everything was in it that was supposed to be, and nothing was in it that wasn't. It was pretty good. As for the restaurant itself, the staff is very nice and friendly. The food is brought out to you when it is ready. They have a salsa bar that you can put into containers. Make sure you check on the far right side for the to go containers. I almost didn't see them when I was there, and it seemed like they only had non-sealable containers. They do have tables and chairs (high) but the place seems a bit chaotic for me to sit and hang out for lunch like a lot places that cater to the younger crowds. It's another place I would likely take my kids to, but in the meantime I will take my food to go, and retain my sanity. read more

I've dinned at multiple Tijuana Flats and this location (Cooper City) is by far the BEST Tijana Flats I've ever dinned at. This location is super clean! The tables are always clean, the charis are always pushed in, and the bathroom is always neat. This location is super friendly! The employees including their General Manager are always friendly. They are always walking around to see if you need a drink refill or need anything else. The food is always delicious and consistent! I can always count on my food being fresh and tasty. I always enjoy the whole dining experience at Tijuana Flats but this location in particular, makes the dining experience that much better. read more

The time prior my wife got her did and mine came out 45 minutes later. Each time I asked they said it was almost done. Then 40 minutes later they said they accidentally threw away the ticket and had never even been making it. I had eaten at Tijuana Flats before though not at this location. This is definitely the place to go if you are looking for options. I found it a little overwhelming. Which is why I think I like Chipotle so much... Just a few basic things to choose from. Finally settled on the carnitas chimichanga. It was flash fried and I wish it was a little more fried and crispy on the outside. The queso was okay. There were a bazillion hot sauce options but no salsas like they have at Lime for example. Service was fast and friendly. Considering the lack of Mexican options in this neighborhood TF is a decent option. I will try something else for dinner next time. The churros were cleverly packed in a styrofoam cup with a lid to-go so they stayed fresh and hot en route. They weren't the best churros I've ever had but they were okay. I ordered my food and my significants others food with clarity. I over extended some of my words to make sure she had heard me correctly and over annunciating certain things. I proceeded to make way back to the main dining room and spoke to the cashier who was taking my order that I spoke to very clear when making my order. " I'm sorry, I'll get you all the ingredients on the side." I don't know how I'm supposed to feel but I felt displeased. I also even felt embarrassed when the manager came to me while I was eating and saying "hello, is everything good?" And I lied and said "yes" because I was so disgusted. I came in looking to just grab a quick bite and get back to work, I wasn't expecting anything special...what a lovely surprise this place was. The biggest impact for me came from the great service, as much from the girls at the register (who were super patient with me as a first timer figuring out what I wanted, and didn't make me wait in line again as I ran back and forth to grab my wallet from my car when I realized I had forgotten it!) as from the manager constantly going around asking how everything was and if anyone needed anything. Service like that just makes my meal and whole experience so much better. The food was surprisingly fresh and light. I ordered a Tijuana Trio with yummy guacamole, cheese dip, and salsa with a nice little kick. It was good and the chips were fresh; they didn't taste stale like in so many other Tex-Mex places I've been to (and probably the reason my expectations were not that high) and perfectly salty and crunchy. I also ordered a *refried bean* chimichanga on a *whole wheat* tortilla...where on earth have I ever had this magical option??? Chimichangas are usually limited to meat fillings! BONUS! Even though I ordered the smallest size it was a pretty good portion. The chimichanga wasn't dripping in oil; it was light, crunchy, and filled generously with refried beans and the perfect amount of cheese. I got everything but raw onions as toppings, and mounted those with some salsa and guac from my Tijuana Trio app. Delicious!!! The absolute highlight of this place, and the reason I could CRY for not knowing about it sooner is...the Hot Bar!!! Oodles of house-made hot sauces in pumps = Dee Dee's Toys R Us. I think I may have stood in front of it with my mouth gaping open in awe for a good minute or two. One of the food runners stopped next to me on her way back to the kitchen and said "First time here, right?" I nodded and was able to mutter "It's beautiful..." Tijuana Flats gets an A from me. "Ghost Chili makes its aniticapted debut" After several years of obscurity, the ghost chili was finally called up on Tuesday night to the delight of many cheering fans (well, really only one fan but that's better than none, right?). My wife and I decided to give this place a try since we had a coupon for a free entree. We wanted to sit outside but there were no tables available so we had to make do with sitting inside. We waited in line for probably close to 15 min. and the line did move kind of slowly although it did move. I ended up with the chimichanga and she ordered the tacos. The ghost chili, after years and years of being passed over for a call up, finally got to strut its stuff. And it was hot! It lingered on my tongue and lips for awhile and this was definitely the hottest sauce I have ever had. The chimichanga was decent and I poured some of the mango hot sauce over it which spiced it up and flavored it really well. The waitresses/food runner were really nice and they even bring you refills which is awesome. Seeing as how I will be living very close to this location, I plan on revisiting the ghost chili and maybe trying to see if it can handle a burrito. Will the ghost chili come out on top?
