Been to this location for past 2 years almost twice a month, today is the last time. Placed order over phone, showed up 10 min later, sat there for 30 minutes waiting for food with it sitting on their rack/shelf. Nobody cares about service anymore. Manager walks by me sitting at the table right in front of where they bring food out multiple times, never says a word. The other employees handing out food left and right one of which cashed me out and doesn't put 2 n 2 together I have been sitting there for all this time. Service these days...nobody cares. Taco Tuesday! I come to the Fleming Island Tijuana Flats every now and then for their tacos. It's a pretty good deal for the price. You get two tacos , hard or soft , beef or chicken , chips and a drink for $5.99. They have a really good hot sauce bar as well. The staff is very courteous and they're pretty quick. They don't make good burritos but the tacos are worth the money for sure. read more

This is a welcome addition to Fleming Island and most certainly worth finding, the restaurant is close to Kohl's Department store and fronts on 220. All of the ingredients are fresh and you can custom design whatever you choose to suit yourself. It is simple Mexican food that is done well. They also have a wide range of sauces so you can add anything from mild to wild to your food. I have been here more than once now and I am still amazed at how friendly and helpful the staff is. I didn't think I would like their outside patio in the summer heat but a friend persuaded me to try it and they have enough fans that it is comfortable out there when the temperature is over ninety degrees and as I love to eat outside I think that is a real plus too! If you go on their web site they have a really good method of calculating the calories in what you want to order and this can be a very healthy place to eat if you make good choices. Vegetarians and carnivores should both find plenty they would like here so this would be a good place to bring a group of people to. I am glad that Tijuana Flats opened this branch on Fleming Island, between the good food and great service, it is a welcome addition to the Island. read more

I am so surprised at how much I enjoy Tijuana Flats on Fleming Island. Fleming Island has a dearth of dining choices, so Tijuana Flats has been a great addition to fast, casual dining on the island. The service has been great from the minute I arrive with an offer to get me a drink while I wait to place my order. I like Tijuana Flats order at the counter concept, but then servers bring your order and also refill drinks or take more orders when you are seated. I am a little obsessed with their Black Bean Tostados, which are basically eight nachos loaded with beans, onion, olives, lettuce, and sour cream. The hot sauce bar is also a good concept and I love trying a different sauce on each visit. I do have my favorite sauces, but variety is important. The only thing I find annoying is on Fridays they have a "DJ" and a balloon artist. I really enjoy Tijuana Flats when there is no special entertainment. read more

You will either be greeted as you walk in or have the door held for you by a few beautiful ladies! As a New Jersey gent, I appreciate fine southern hospitality and this place does not lack! I came in as a huge fan of La Nopalera and left as an undetermined fan of both! A groundbreaking amount of hot sauces that will either soothe your taste buds or leave your nostrils dripping all the way out! I am for sure a fan of Tijuana. The prices are decent and they have so many options to choose from on the menu. My favorite thing to get here is the chips and queso and the best part is they keep refilling the queso as long as you sit there. I normally get the two taco with Blackened Chicken and they are very good. You of course have to stop at their hot sauce bar because they have so many different options. I've had the burritos as well and they are very good too. They really cater to everyone here, glutens, vegetarians and meat lovers. The kids love it too. read more

Was in a hurry to go to work and wanted to place an order for pick up. Every time I called I got put on hold. I was hoping that I could call; place my order, and it would be ready by the time I would be driving by there, which is about 10 minutes from my house, needless to say; I was still on hold for the 3rd time while I was already pretty much there; and I drove right by. I have never been to this place until today. The young lady at the cash register told me they had a burrito special. After I looked over the menu the gentleman behind the counter took my order. I told him I would have the burrito special and after a minute he said that was only for Thursday's not Wednesday. I decided to leave because he wouldn't honor her mistake. It was only a dollar off, but it was a matter of principle. If you mess up and offer the wrong special then you as a business should honor it. I won't be back. read more

My husband, son and I have been to this location a few times and never really had a problem. However, last night was horrible. The waitress took my husbands drink to give him a refill and when she brought it back she gave him another guys drink by mistake and gave the other guy my husbands drink. My husband has a weakened immune system because of a medical condition. Needless to say this is a dangerous mistake. Something like this should never happen. We were excited to try eating out since places are starting to open again but were very disappointed with the service at this location. When we walked up there were 3 tables occupied on the outside deck. We ordered and sat at a table. I ordered a modeling negra and while I was in the bathroom they asked my husband if it was okay at room temperature. They didn't have any cold. He ordered me something else. When our food arrived my tacos had just meat and cheese. I politely asked if I could get the additional toppings to throw on. No big deal. The waitress apologized and brought the additional toppings. As my husband was eating he pulled a piece of plastic from his burrito. We again politely explained what happened to the waitress and she apologized and said she would go get the manager because that is a big deal to them and we would possibly get some type of refund. The manager came out and explained the plastic was from the bag that the black beans come in. She then asked if we were good. A bit disappointing. We didn't fight it and just said okay but we will not be returning to this location. read more

First I called to order was placed on hold 5 min. No one ever came back to the phone, the I ordered online, when the order was placed it said I would receive a confirmation e-mail about 10 Min. Before my order was supposed to be done I called to find out if my order was received, I was assured it was and would be ready by the pick up time, I arrived about 5 mins. Great place for a last min lunch and great food. The prices are very good which makes it a good choice for a last min lunch that won't break the bank. The staff is friendly, tables are always clean and the food is great. We usually sit outside and I expected to be forgotten, but the waitstaff is right on top of things. I've never been a fan of Tex Mex but this place has REALLY good food, and they don't try to sell it as anything other than Tex Mex. They have a hot sauce bar that is really cool, it's in order from mildest to hottest. The service was really awesome, very friendly and prompt. I judge Mexican food by its guacamole and they have the best chips and guac mix!! Which is interesting because its not an authentic Mexican food restaurant. Oh and did I mention the prices are good too! The only thing this place is lacking is the margaritas, but they say they are working on getting that done! read more

The manager greeted us and even remembered what we loved! Always been the best service but after almost 4 months since we have been at the location and haven't seen this manager in over a year, it says a lot when they know you by face! The inside eating area is very small. Once I ordered my food, that was no place to sit. One of the food servers told me I could sit outside, but I was not interested in sitting in 90 degree heat. The food was okay. There was one sauce I really liked, I believe she told me it was called "Kick my ass and kiss Aunt Sally," or something like that.
