I have been to plenty of Tijuana Flats in my life and Palm Coast getting one was very exciting! The menu has definitely changed since the last time I was at Tijuana Flats no longer having Tostadas and some other items. The Sauce bar seems smaller too with less to select from. We ordered two burritos and two tacos this time around. With this being brand new we did wait a little bit but when the food did arrive it was hot! "Banging Chicken Burrito" The wife ordered the banging chicken burrito and was no where near as spicy as it used to be. Tasted more like orange chicken. Was she not a fan with this menu item. "Beef Burrito Wet" The Beef Burrito is always a safe play at any restaurant so I went with this. The burrito was good, wish they had more of a Bierra option like most restaurants do now. The only down side for our meals was the lack of nachos they handed out. I don't know if this was because they were new or just the usual portions now. My only big negative is when cups were being filled the employees were putting their hands inside them while grabbing. I'll definitely check them out again once the newness wears off.

Our friends like to go because of the price. But I will no longer go because of what happened recently. We split the check with a larger party. (Yes we were those annoying people) I paid with a credit card and left a 20 dollar cash tip on the table. In between our party leaving the restaurant and the staff cleaning the table- the twenty got stolen. I left but the server chased after someone in my party and complained about not getting a tip. My friend gave her a 20 out of her wallet. Long story short- the owner reviewed the security tapes and only sent us footage that started after my party had left. So it showed an empty table with no money on it. He didn't send the footage where we were at the table- left the money or didn't leave money. Or if anyone stole it. It proved nothing on their end or our end. So after the twenty we left and the twenty we gave back to our friends. We paid 40 dollars in tip and were accused of not paying for service. It just left a sour taste in our mouth. To be chased for tip by waitstaff is not something I've ever heard of. I do realize how annoying it is to split a bill with a large party. I do realize leaving a cash tip is not the safest thing to do. I would also be mad if I was stiffed out of my wages. So I get their side of things. But the food is not worth it for me. Plus the chicken fajitas made someone in our party sick. They said the chicken smelled funny.

I still remember my very first taco…read more It was 1971, just after I moved to East Gary, Indiana. I had made a couple of friends at school, and one day they took me to a small Mexican fast food place called Arman's. I had never had a taco before. I didn't even know what one was. They ordered for me. That first bite changed everything. It was spicy, full of flavor, and unlike anything I had ever tasted. I couldn't stop eating them. Back then, tacos were under fifty cents, so I went as often as I could afford. That taste stayed with me. Fast forward to a couple of years ago when I discovered A1A Burrito Works. I walked in, and to be honest, the decor didn't impress me. But I wasn't there for ambiance. I ordered two tacos to go and headed back to my car. That's where everything changed. I tried to eat while driving. That was a mistake. These tacos were massive, packed with meat, lettuce, and everything that comes with "The Works." I had to pull over just to properly enjoy them. And then it hit me. One bite took me straight back to 1971. After decades of eating tacos all over the place, these were the first ones that brought that feeling back. The same bold flavor. The same satisfaction. The same experience I never forgot. Since then, I don't go anywhere else for tacos. If you care about flashy interiors, this might not be your place. But if you care about real flavor, generous portions, and food that actually leaves an impression, this is it. For me, A1A Burrito Works isn't just another taco spot. It's a time machine.

I requested no nacho chips in mine, no sprinkled cheese and no salt. They said they use no oil in the soup which is great They don't use a microwave at all I didn't realize the soul would be in a sturdy plastic bowl and it was super hot. I typically don't mix plastic with really hot things but that was all they had. I would get it again and get it to go cold in a plastic take out container. Or bring you own bowl! I also had the veggie egg wrap. It was good but definitely say light on the cheese if you are conscious. Everything looked amazing and I will. Make it a regular spot to go to. It's over looks the beach in Flagler. They were super accommodating and I'm very fussy. I went back for dinner. Chicken soup without the nachos or cheese. Their other soup is supposed to be great too! Guavo turnover was fresh and delish. As was the flan, a touch of delicious alcohol taste. Very good. You can't go wrong with any of their food. Real food always tastes better. They now have a ceramic bowl if you ask

I opted for the Papa Relleno (potato balls) with a side of rice and beans, while my wife chose scrambled eggs and Cuban bread. The food arrived quickly, and I dove in first - WOW! The papa relleno was perfectly fried, with outstanding flavor. The black beans and rice were expertly prepared, and my wife raved about her eggs and the flavorful Cuban bread. We appreciated the clean bathrooms and outdoor seating area, which offered stunning, unobstructed views of the ocean across the street. We'll definitely return to try more dishes!
