I just have to brag on the employees at this location. We came in tonight (12/20/25) with 4 little kids and were greeted with smiles. Everyone we encountered was eager to help and offered to bring us kids menus, refilled our queso, and brought us everything we needed to take our leftovers home. We even had a spill before we left and they assured us it was totally fine and they'd take care of it. And I should mention -- everything was hot and delicious! Literally was parked next to an employee and as she opened her car door it stunk of weed. Cool who cares, except it was not a good start. I go in and one of the cashiers is talking to some disgusting dude/customer about her experience working at Taco Bell. He wasn't actively ordering but my daughter and I were trying . Again Completely ignoring me. Continuously ignoring, no social cues just talking about how she's happy to not be at Taco Bell because no one throws stuff at her here . It was nice to get out and have a casual meal in Pensacola. Plenty of covid safe practicies were in place, thank you. The chicken tinga burrito was good and I made it wet with the verde sauce. Missed all the hot sauces but they can't be out with covid. The atmosphere is fun reminding me of Baja/southern California. read more

Dropped the Ball. Ordered Queso and tacos for dinner. The Queso was supposed to come out first, but they forgot. The tacos came out in less than 5 Minutes. They were lukewarm and seemed the meat had been sitting for a while. The sauce station was a mess and several options were plain empty. The ladies working the front were nice but the food quality was subpar. Glad we didn't get sick... Been to multiple Tijuana Flats for many years. This one is the best I have been to. Staff was great. Super helpful and attentive. You could tell they really care and were all working hard the entire time we were there. Best part, the food. I have had issues at other Tijuana flats with greasy chips and messed up orders. No here. Chips were not greasy, fresh and order was perfect. Hot sauce bar is great as usual and lets you add lots of different flavors to your food. This place was pretty good for a Mexican restraunt. The vibe was really cool,and the food was imaginative. They have this thing called taco pizza that is a quesadilla with all this stuff on and it's really crunchy. The service was also really good. They were very fast to get your order to you and I didn't have to wait in line very long. One bad thing though is unlike most Mexican restraints you have to pay for your salsa they don't just give it to you and it is a very small portion. The show was run by two people... TWO. Granted, the place is not very large but you'd be hard pressed to find a restaurant staff that can multitask as well as the two employees working here that night. KUDOS. *raises glass to perform a toast* I ordered the Steak Bowl, which consisted of rice, a choice of refried or black beans, lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, and sour cream. The ingredients were really fresh and the steak was marinated well and cooked to perfection. DELISH! The only qualm I had was that I felt my steak bowl should've had a little more meat in it for the price I paid. The dish came with a side of chips and salsa. The salsa was bold, smoky, and bursting with flavor. I was really looking forward to exploring the infamous hot sauce bar, which was not set up that night. I assume they did away with it due to the pandemic. Overall, we had good food, good service, and an enjoyable experience. In addition, COVID safety precautions were in place with proper distancing in between tables, which was greatly appreciated. We will be back for more deliciousness... and I'll definitely try the cookie dough flautas. I practiced a tad bit of self-control this time, but next time IT'S ON LIKE DONKEY KONG! read more

Staff were friendly and very nice. Menu up front was sticky and gross. They were putting peoples drinks on it is why. They didn't provide any salsa with the chips. Was for extra and it was way too expensive for just salsa. They really skimped out on the meat. There wasn't much at all in my beef burrito or the beef nachos. We were starving so didn't care at the time. Staff were awesome. Very clear the owner is being cheap on good ingredients. Lack of protein. No salsa. Ridiculous amount of lettuce on nachos and lack of cheese. We also both had the sh**s after eating here. For a $28 meal with the annoying requested tip. This isn't a good spot to go. Had a wonderful experience tonight at Tijuana Flats, and I highly recommend this as a great family restaurant with most dishes under 10.00, fresh food, very good portion sizes, plus indoor and outdoor seating. They have a very unique hot sauce/salsa bar with many flavors to choose from. For this location, we had amazing customer service from both the person who took our order, and the server who brought us our food and checked on us. If management reads this, you are commended for training your team to be friendly, greet their guests, and do a great job all around! The two dishes we purchased include a Tijuana Blackened Chicken Burrito w/chips (kids menu, 6.49) which was huge and delicious; also a Tij Steak Bowl w/chips(7.49) which was very filling and healthy. The burrito was dry and way too big you couldn't eat it with a plastic fork and knife. I am used to hot plates and this is served in a plastic basket. I had to bring it home. Put some cheese on it, sauce on it. Bake it to get nice and hot and cut it up into four slices. The service was good. The people were pleasant. Guess this is just not my cup of tea. read more

I've been in Pensacola for a little over a week and have been here a few times since arriving. Reasonable prices and portion sizes. Everything tastes good but I did expect more out of the queso and the red sauce since there is a 99 cents charge to "make it wet." Other than that it's pretty good and the service is wonderful. I've ordered takeout three times here since pandemic started (March 2020), and in my opinion, they've gone downhill badly since before. Each time, something has been wrong with my order or missing, such as having wrong protein, order has been sitting under heat lamp in the container, or missing ingredients. Usually this wouldn't be an issue, but by being takeout many issues aren't discovered until after driving all the way home. Also, each time there haven't been napkins or utensils included-- admittedly not a big deal-- but repeatedly missing them makes me think they're plowing through orders quickly as they can to just move customers along. I used to like this place, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere going forward. read more

Everything came out fast and our waiter refilled our drinks because he noticed we were low--how many places do that anymore? Guac was fresh and delicious, chicken chinga tacos were excellent, refried bean tostadas were perfect. No one has fresher jalapeños than they do! Chips were fresh and perfectly seasoned, queso was really good. The cookie dough flautas were fresh and hot, perfect for a little after-meal treat. Just an overall satisfying and excellent meal. Baby Chain Review Time: Tijuana Flats It's been a while since I have been here, but I'm craving some good salsa and queso. Let's see if the service is still amazing and the food still holds up to satisfaction? This place was packed when we walked in. Line to the door, but it still moved steady to get the orders in and expedited out. I see the staff still waits on you hand and foot. You need more salsa? You need a refill? O and let's keep these tables clean. Hats off to this always exceptional staff. Salsa is still fresh and delicious along with this smooth tasty queso. I love these chips with the seasoning salt on them. Had the steak and black bean flautas with these fire grenade fresh jalapeño and rice and black beans. Also with massive beef dos tacos with refried beans and rice. I love how they have perfected keeping all of the filling in my deep fried flautas. They are always delicious and flavorful. The beef is seasoned well in the tacos with the super fresh lettuce and finely shredded cheese. I've always wondered why the rice is so dry, but has a good flavor. I always throw my delicious black beans on top of the rice and it takes care of the rice perfectly. Don't know why I gave up coming here, but it was so phenomenal today. Ever since moving to the panhandle, I have been deprived of my weekly taco Tuesday at Tijuana unless I make the trip to Pensacola or fort Walton. The great thing about Tijuana is it's pretty standard as far as you always know what to expect at each visit even if you are visiting a location you've never been to before. They have great tacos, I always recommend ordering two different styles since they let you do that. The hot sauce bar is AMAZING, there truly is a sauce for everyone. Friday-Sunday this particular Tijuana has $1.50 Corona special ALL DAY LONG!! My fiancé and I ordered one for each of us and they were ice cold aka the best way to have a beer. They have other beer as well, but I don't think they're on special although they might be for weekly happy hour. On this visit I ordered my favorite burrito EVER which is the Bangin Chicken burrito. It has buffalo chicken (YES) and the perfect blend of sweet with a kick. If you are a buffalo flavor person I think you NEED to try that burrito. Followed up with cookie dough flautas (never a bad choice), and were delicious as always. Staff is super friendly, always a wonderful trait that Tijuana locations have.. kind of reminds me of chick fil a of tacos! Bathrooms were very clean and didn't smell rotten, and even had a cute mural. I love the art the Tijuana has in the main dining, I'm kicking myself for not getting a photo. They also do fundraisers, so if that's something you're into this is definitely a place you should consider. If you haven't been to Tijuana flats, YOU MUST GO!
