Tijuana Flats is so underrated! It's been a go-to for casual, good food for my family for a while. First of all, they have the best chips and guac of any similar chain (Chipotle, etc.) Their chips are seasoned, fresh, and not greasy and the guac is consistently really good. My dad used to not like guac until he tried theirs. I usually get the quesadillas, which come with chips. There are different meal options, which I appreciate because meals come with soda at most places and I don't drink soda. You can add just sides of rice and beans for a couple dollars, or that plus a drink for a couple dollars more. They also have a salsa bar with a ton of options. I like the Smack My Ass sauce, which is like a sweet chili sauce and not spicy at all. Their cookie dough flautas are one of my favorite desserts in the world. If you're a cookie dough lover like me, they're an absolute must-try. read more

My kids and I love coming here. We are locals and always stuff ourselves with good cheese dip and chips. The cheese dip is really good. I enjoy the black bean roll ups and the kids really enjoy the kids quesadilla. It comes with a drink and apple sauce. The hot sauce bar is fun and HOT. THE art work is very fun inside. Local elementary school kids recently did a ceiling tile for them. It's a fun place and the 35 plus times we've been in, the staff is super friendly. More food pics to come. read more

My girlfriend recommended this place and I have to say it was totally worth it! They have the most delicious tacos around. When you come inside Tijuana flats you'll see a vibrant and fun environment where you're greeted by friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. The chicken tacos were out of this world and I would recommend sour cream with it for added flavor. The tacos are bursting with delicious flavors and I'm so glad I got the pleasure of trying them with the woman I love. The outdoor seating was very nice and made for a romantic lunch date even with the the thunderstorms it was very nice. I would highly recommend anyone to come here and give the tacos a try. For a fast casual restaurant chain, this particular Tijuana Flats produces a good meal. While Tijuana Flats is nothing really close to authentic Mexican food (it's not even in the neighborhood of authentic Mexican), I don't think Tijuana Flats ever aspired to be authentic Mexican food. I think the emphasis is more on Tex-Mex and they always aimed more for a quick serve model of restaurant. When you look at it like that, this Tijuana Flats definitely delivers and is a great option if you are looking more for a quick serve type meal experience. I would recommend one of their burritos. It definitely is a solid option. Don't forget to visit the hot sauce bar. This particular location of Tijuana Flats has a fun vibe and it is easy to enjoy the overall vibe of this location. Spanish Heritage Month runs from September 15 through October 15 and I can't think of a better way to celebrate than to eat from different places that well represent our rich culture and significant contributions this side of our country's borders. Today, it was Tex-Mex with their Tijuana Chicken Burrito composed of cilantro rice, beans (which they don't cook with lard nor add any pork to), pico de gallo, shredded cheddar Jack cheese and sour cream--minus the shredded lettuce and jalapeños--because I'm averse to heartburn and a lightweight when it comes to hot peppers and spices. With that, I got a good portion of complimentary fresh-not-greasy tortilla chips and a side of my favorite pico. I also added two sauces to the mix: the peach and the other one that I can't remember the name but suffice to say they're both mild and I don't believe the "hot sauce disclaimer" applies to either one! All in all, this was a good experience, with equally good service. The only reason they didn't get the fifth star is because they gave me black beans instead of the refried I chose, but nonetheless good! I used to work at TF when I was a teenager (not this location) but I rave about TF because their nacho cheese is actually made in house. That's why it's always soooooo delicious. The food is actually fresh. And yea it's not real Mexican but they are a Florida based company, of course! It's Tex mex, duh! I always get the refried bean and cheese flautas and definitely urge for everyone to try the flautas with steak or chicken. Food came out very quickly. They said ten minutes and we got it in 7! They had a wide variety of delicious sauces to choose from...at no additional cost! The dining area was fine. Clean for the most part. We heard another customer ask where the restroom was and the attended gave the location but advised the guest not to use it because it was "disgusting". Once again a great dinner at Tijuana Flats! I really wish they had these in Georgia! They used to years ago in Dacula but for some reason even though they were always busy they went under :( This location was as good as every other one we've been to. I had the Dos Tacos, hard shell with beef. It comes with a side of chips which I always forget to tell them to hold cause I never eat them. Tacos come with lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapeños, cheese and sour cream. Just the way I like them! The shell was crunchy and the insides were scrumptious! The tacos are very large. 2 fill me up! We have been going to Tijuana Flats since they opened in Orlando. We truly are long time fans and have been to MANY locations over the years. This location is our favorite though. The service from the entire staff is always friendly and helpful, the food is consistently great and Tyler the manager is ALWAYS involved and hands on. He does a wonderful job and the fact that the proactive service (drink refills) and quality of food is always on point is, in our opinion, due to his leading by example. Anytime my wife and I have placed a to go order, the service has been poor and taken forever. Tonight was maybe the worst complete lack of customer service I have ever witnessed in a restaurant. I waited for 10 minutes at the to go counter. There was one order and one empty soda cup on the to go rack behind the counter. 5 different employees who were not busy walked right by me. Someone with a burgundy polo shirt and hat that looked to be a supervisor walked right behind the to go counter I was standing at, grabbed something, ignored me, handed something to the girl working the cash register and retreated to the back. I ended up going to the rack myself to confirm my name was on the receipt/bag. It was, so I grabbed my meal. The soda cup was empty, so (like another women before me) I went to the front of the order line to ask for my soda to be filled. The girl ignored me, answered a phone and then took someone else in line. I left the soda cup there and stormed out. From the minute I walked in to the minute I walked out = 0 Service. If you enjoy good food and absolute lack of customer service, enjoy your meal here. If you value customer service, avoid this location and go elsewhere. I like that they don't use animal lard in the refried beans, how it should be! I put mild salsa, cheese, sour cream, and lettuce. You can "make it wet" for 99 cents. Other add-ins include guac, pineapple salsa, rice, ect. ****Tip: For your first Uber eats, go to google search under "Uber promo code". They offer a Taco Tuesday deal and plenty of options to make it healthier- you can chose between hard or soft, wheat or flour, toppings and meat. I usually chose wheat soft tacos with beef and I like it a powerlite, which uses light sour cream and cheese! It's delicious and also makes me feel less guilty for splurging on tacos most weeks! I am not a huge fast food fan but I do love a good order of nachos and Tijuana Flats does a great job of the nachos. They offer so many options... the protein choices, the beans and all the embellishments. We love plenty of cheese so they will put the first layer of chips with some shredded cheese then another layer of chips and more cheese. It melts just right and cheese on every chip. Mmmmm As we each like different prep, they are so willing to make them exactly as we request... and we can be a pain but they are so good. We have done this many times and it seems the training because they are consistent in the desired prep. The service was very friendly and the order is brought to the table in a very reasonable amount of time. On this day, the order also included a quesadilla which was just right. I have been here several times. Mostly when they first opened...I am not a big fan of Mexican food in general, but it was taco Tuesday and typically we eat home but it is October and they have always been a strong supporter of breast cancer awareness month...and having had and currently dealing with breast cancer, we thought we would see what they were doing. Let me start by saying...they weren't doing much. They used to decorate and the employees had cool shirts...they pushed the pink tacos and the nachos would come out with a pink ribbon...nothing...we actually had to ask them about the pink tacos and if they had anything special going on. I don't eat meat, pork or poultry. I also eat limited fish. I was excited to see a veggie burrito on the menu. I asked what veggies were in the burrito...lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapeño and they give you pico at no extra charge. WHAT? Those are not veggies! Those are toppings! I did ask for refried beans and rice...to give it a little umph...thinking back, I think the rice was missing. I ordered the queso and sour cream on the side. The presentation isn't the greatest. My daughter had the 2 taco special for taco Tuesday. Those we asked if they were doing pink. They were. My daughter was happy with her tacos. My husband hates that the sauce cups are so tiny. He loves hot sauce and needs like 10 just for the taco. Service was very friendly. They came and refilled our drinks and cleared the tables. The girls at the register were also very nice. I do hate that they yell out your name. Get numbers. Get a beeper. Something! People get confused if it is their order or not when there are similar names. I really want to love this place, so far I love everything but the food I'm so disappointed. I went a while ago with a friend visiting from out of town, she loves Tijuana Flats!!! So I was so excited to go, cute place, lots of hot sauce and friendly people! Great!!! Food bower has been a miss with me both times. The first time I don't even recall what I ordered it was just too greasy so I'm sure it was something fried. Today I had the PINK Mahi tacos... They looked great, they were big for tacos, fresh cabbage slaw I was so excited.... However these were so salty I couldn't eat them. I have another friend who said the same thing. Please just cook them naked and squeeze some lime on them they don't need what ever that nasty seasoning was... Eeeeek mouth full of salt! I need water! I just read some other reviews I had no idea they were doing pink tacos for breast cancer month, I did however think that was cool when I opened the box :) I'm sure I'll try it again when someone wants to go, maybe I can ask for no salt/seasoning? We promised our daughter taco Tuesday, otherwise we wouldn't normally eat here. The service is relatively good, but the food is just ok. My 6 year old daughter had two pink tacos with ground beef and cheese. She loved it, she loves tacos from anywhere. My wife had a veggy burrito? It really just a refried bean burrito. It was blah! She tried dipping it in cheese sauce and it was still blah. A real veggy burrito would have some kind of grilled vegetables and the refried beans would have been an option added. They really have no real vegetarian options. I had the taco and burrito combo. I got a loaded pink taco with ground beef, which I had to ask for the pink shell. "They made no effort to push any of the breast cancer items!" I got the burrito loaded with blackened chicken. The chicken had no taste. I did like a couple of the hot sauces, "don't be a chicken shit" and the "bee sting" was good. The one problem is they give you these tiny little cups, so you need to fill like ten of them, unless you can get the person working the floor to get you a larger one from the back. I only come to Tijuana flats on Tuesday's because you can't beat the two tacos chips and a drink for 5.99. I'm used to the Cooper City location, but stopped by this one on a whim. I called ahead and ordered my regular order, two orders of the chicken tacos with refried beans for the special. I always get the banging chicken on the tacos instead of regular because I love that it's fried and I enjoy the spicy sauce on it. As I come to cash out, the cashier tells me it's $18. I asked about the special and he told me yes it's 5.99 with tax. I was puzzled when he told me my $12 order jumped to $18 dollars because of tax. I almost laughed. He proceeded to tell me that also, it's because I added refried beans to the tacos. That's funny, because when I order online it doesn't charge extra for beans on the tacos, and no other location charges for the beans on the tacos. So then I told him we are going to have to remake the tacos. He then says "well, since you didn't know I'll give you a discount" rudely. Now my order is $16 and some change. Huh? It should be 5.99 and order. What's the problem here? Did I come here for $16 mediocre tacos? No, I came here for $12 tacos. I paid the money anyways and then man gives me my food and walks away and doesn't even give me my two drinks it comes with. I decided to ask another sweet man (maybe the manager) for the drinks and he apologizes and gets them for me. After all that, I check my food and the order isn't even correct. I was going to let go of the extra $4 they charged me for no reason, but now I'm just beyond annoyed. The same sweet man helps me fix my order and I tell him about the rude cashier that couldn't understand he was wrong ringing me up. He gives me a refund and really made my experience a lot better. The absolutely Horrible! The worst chicken burrito I have ever tried to eat. Could not cut thru the rubber tortilla. I had to search for the 10 kibble bits of chicken in all that rice. The wet Queso cheese barely covered the burrito. A teaspoon of refried beans, If I wanted nothing but rice I would have ordered Chinese food. The last time I was there was three years ago, I ordered on line arrived 15min later. I sat for 35 min waiting for my meal, watching 7 other people get their meals before me, despite ordering after me. This is my second visit and will be my last. I ordered takeout tacos and the appetizer trio for lunch. The portion sizes are great! My tacos were stuffed and they gave me a TON of chips. Service was good as well, very friendly staff. My big issue is that the chips were horribly burnt so I couldn't eat any of them! I picked through them and was able to eat maybe 4 or 5 out of the massive bag I got. I'm a chip fiend so I had a lot on hand at home and just ate those. I'd received the appetizer for free after using the app but I would've been pretty upset if I'd paid for it. The guac was good!
