Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday night. Was packed and they had a live band. Not the place to catch up with friends cause it is hard to hear. Vibes were high for the people at the bar and dancing. Service was decent. We got the fried calamari. Small portion and overpriced. The majority of the calamari was stuck together into a ball. I got the shrimp po boy. 5 small/medium sized shrimp. Fries were great! Po boy...not so much. I've had really good po boys in my life and this did not make the cut. If it was loaded with popcorn shrimp, it would be better. Got a virgin pina colada for my drink and that was tasty. I would come back for drinks and small apps but not for dinner/actual food. Overall the food was a huge let down. read more

This place is ok, the food is average and the service is good and the sunset view of the beach is great but you don't get much else. We came here for the sunset and it was beautiful. We tried the tuna , shrimp tacos and the chicken Milanese. All were good , the chicken Milanese was dry and needed something to make it more tasty but it was nicely crispy on the outside. The shrimp tacos were good and the tuna was nice and fresh. Paid parking is required by the beach. Overall good experience because of the weather and the beach sunset but the restaurant experience was average. read more

A favorite spot to watch the sunset--this place never disappoints. The food is always enjoyable, and Long Island truly has some of the most breathtaking beaches and summer sunsets. What a terrific time we had here . It's off the beaten path at Cedar Beach Mount Sinai I've been waiting forever to check this place out . I should not have waited so long . There is a bar area and they have tables with umbrellas The food is typical crab shack type food . Wings , chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks plus the usual shrimp cocktail , fish and chips and shrimp tacos . The food is ok That's not why you go here Crazy drink menu , you're yards away from the water and there is live music . People come here with beach chairs , sit in the sand and listen to the music . It's like Woodstock on the beach . The band was playing 80's music and they were terrific . It was just a fun amazing time . It's actually a great first date place . Chill vibe and lots of fun . We came on the 4th of July and didn't realize how packed the beach would be (out of staters). The atmosphere of the whole beach was really cool. The food was delicious, and the drinks were really good and patriotic. I would want to try this place out again, maybe not on a holiday weekend, or at least come prepared. read more

BE SURE TO LOOK OVER YOUR BILL BEFORE YOU PAY !!! This is the second time my husband and I came here & ordered the "classic margarita" and the price on the menu says $15, but when the waitress brings your bill they charge $17.50 !! I bring this to the waitresses attention, she comes back with a corrected bill & says " the button they press for margarita is set to $17.50 & the manager will fix the issue." Well that was over a month ago. My husband and I return last night & once again we order the $15 classic margarita & once again are given a bill charging $17.50. So clearly the manager never fixed the issue & they have been ripping people off all summer long which is absolutely disgusting. We really enjoyed our first visit here aside from the issue with our check, which like I said was resolved, but our second visit was an absolute s&*t show. First we are told there is no waitress & we have to order from the window, then we see other patrons being seated with menus, plates & silverware. So I asked the woman who sat them why they got menus when we were told there was no waitress, she said she was the manager and apologized for the bartender for giving us that information. At that point I'm already pissed off, then when we go to settle our bar tab I see that they are still overcharging for drinks. I will never return here and I'm going to report this business for ripping off their customers to the BBB. With all of the waterfront restaurants on Long Island, who needs this kind of headache? I do not recommend this establishment to anyone. It's poorly ran & they are scammers. It a great place to catch a sunset & it's a beautiful beach but that's it. The bathrooms are shared with beach goers and are filthy & disgusting. Also parking is $4 PER HOUR for non residents. read more

Food was as expected, coming from a beach hut. Service was nice. We sat down around 8:50, ordered food that came out around 9:15. About 10 minutes later it looked like everyone was closing up, we asked what time and were told 10pm, 5 minutes later the security guard kept yelling: you got Five minutes! Then the bus boy was sent over to clear out dishes before we were finished. The security guard yell again: you got five minutes! He yelled that line 3 more times before we just paid the bill and left. My advice, Don't sit tables 10 minutes before you close down. Then yell at paying customers to get out 10 minutes after the food gets to the table. read more

Frozen drinks and beer are warm in the afternoon. The bartender was not happy when I said I wanted something different. She said everything is cold. It is not and for $15 a drink I want a cold drink. Also...she was touching her friend's hair extensions then serving. read more

Tiki Joe's is a weekly trip for me over the summer time. My friends and I love it! How can you not like a drink on the beach during sunset? The food is decent, just a bit over priced for what you're getting. Often times, we just drink and maybe share an appy. Bartenders are nice there. Some aren't consistent with their drinks but that has never stopped me from ordering another. read more

Went to see the In The Groove Band on 8/23/2025 at Tiki Joe's Cedar Beach Mount Sinai NY. - $20 for parking for non-Residences ($5 per hour) - 45 min wait to be seated and had to constantly linger around the check-in podium, as people were seated out of order. - 25 min wait to for a server to come to our table (after flagging down several of the staff). - 20 min to get food - $67 for 2 burgers and 2 sodas (burgers were good, sodas were not) - $30 for 2 drinks - No room to dance (25' x 15') This venue is on a nice beach and has ample room to build a suitable dining / dance area. Eat before you come. French fries were the worst I've had in my life. The fish tacos tasted ok, but were pretty empty for a $26 plate of 3. I was able to combine the contents of 2 tacos into one tortilla for a decent portion. Placemats had black mold. Great area to watch the sunset and have a drink though! read more

So you know you're going to get banged out on seasonal prices.... summer, beachside, Saturday night, music, etc. but this was new level rip! Printed menu did not match already high drink prices, not $16 for frozen drink, but charged $17.50. A glass of chardonnay not $13.50 but $14.75! Signs were posted for weekday lunch lobster rolls at $22 so we were told $28 for dinner price- reasonable until bill came for $34.50, we asked and girl apologized for mistake as it was "changed" in computer she guessed, waitress offered to pay difference which we didn't want her to do. Food was good enough, service attentive, nice venue but value not there- totally not worth what we paid. We will be picnicking on the sand next time! read more

The lobster roll and 20oz soda 11am-3pm deal for $22 is awesome. I was surprised at the amount of lobster they put in and it was of good quality. Rhe bread was warm and buttery. Overall really good and a bargain. We also ordered the fish and chips and chicken fingers. These two were not as good and I would not order again. The frozen drinks (pina colada) was also good. Overall I'm still giving this place four stars because although the food is mixed review, the ambiance is very good. First time both at this beach and food stand. Picked a Friday that featured a live band. Music was great however made the mistake of order food at Tiki Joe's. Long line for placing an order with only one person taking orders. Waited 30 minutes for the food: buffalo chicken wrap was Luke warm but plenty of chicken however fries were ice cold. Major issue was the mass confusion of the staff. Looked like 2 cooks pumping out the orders which stacked up on the shelf which did not have a heating lamp to keep prepared dishes somewhat warm. Six staff members standing around trying to pull together the multiple orders that were taken and at least half were left sitting on that shelf. One manager tried to distribute as best she could but there were a few disappointed customers regarding cold food. Realizing it was a "band night" the owners need to reorganize the staff accordingly to meet the client demand. POS system was slow ( may be connection issues), staging station needs to be reset so food can be delivered more timely and install heating lamps. Prices are high ridiculous charging a bag of chips $3.75 when it's 99 cents at a 7-11. I'd certainly see another band next tube but I'll bring a sandwich from Jersey Mike's and chips from 7-11. read more

I always rate apples to apples. If you're looking for high-gourmet, this is not it. If you're looking for simply prepared, fresh food-bingo! We shared the fried combo: everything was fresh, cooked properly, and not greasy at all. You have to ask for tarter sauce, no biggies. Clams were fresh and sweet. Cod, super fresh and juicy. Shrimp, small, but tasty. We also shared the Cobb salad. Fresh field greens, generous portion, chicke cooked well. Dressing tasted like bottled, which could certainly be improved upon. The views--this is why you go here. What a perfect place to eat some decent food and watch the sunset. A perfect end of summer night! read more

I tried the mew Mussels dish created by the manager, similar to the standard white wine, lemon, Garlic butter sauce and a creamy pesto sauce. It was best I have ever had from Maine to Key West. Even in CA there Mussel dishes do not come close. People that know me will tell you i eat Mussels all the time. The management team, the staff severing meals and the staff at the bar make you feel like you are important and want you enjoy yourself. I live half a mile away and go there several times a week, On Mondays and Thursdays I watch the sailboat races and beautiful sunsets. Highly recommend a try. read more

Do not waste your time or hard earned money here. The owner and or manager should be embarrassed. The prices are offensive and I expect to pay money when I go out, especially during these times. $11 for a cheeseburger is disgusting. Let me expand on that. There are no fries, no lettuce, pickles, tomato or onion. It is a flat 4 oz patty on a bun with 1 slice of cheese. They call your name and hand you a sorry ass burger wrapped in tinfoil like you get at rest stop on the NJ Turnpike. The drinks are over priced and not good. The staff are more concerned about goofing off with each other and have zero customer service skills. I watched a few of them cutting up fruit on a dirty stainless steel work station with no gloves. The rocket fuels were good when it was Beach Hut. They are terrible now. All sugar, watered down nonsense. Whoever runs this place should be ashamed. I felt like I was transported through a wormhole and landed in the back woods of Alabama. What a dump. read more
