This seems to be the only Indian restaurant in Key West, so there aren't many options if you're craving Indian food. The service was a bit slow, and the food was average overall. We tried the samosa, veg biryani, and kadai chicken. The samosas and kadai chicken were good, and one order of samosas comes with four pieces, which is a nice portion. The veg biryani, however, was disappointing. It tasted more like vegetable pulao or masala rice than a traditional biryani, and it didn't seem to be made with basmati rice, which took away from the authentic flavor. Oh my goodness, their food is excellent! We ordered food to go and had a picnic at the state park and were not disappointed. Im very surprised at the poor reviews because I thought everything was delicious and the prices were reasonable for the amount of food you get. We ordered the samosa chaat (lots of yogurt and chutneys and very hearty), gobi manchurian (perfectly crispy and the sauce was tangy and perfect), paneer makhani (sauce was right color and flavor was right on), and garlic naan (nice and soft and fluffy). We stopped by for a quick snack after a day of adventuring and they delivered. Service was fantastic and friendly, the atmosphere was quiet and calm which after a wild day was really nice. Ordered some carryout to share and they were very generous with the rice and size of naan. They had a number of good vegetarian options, and the usual appetizers. My only quibble (and this will be just me) is that it was all breast meat. I think thighs work better in a curry or stew because they are juicier but lots of people at least think that white meat is always better. This appears to be the only Indian place in town. It seems authentic. They are super duper busy. We love Inidian food and I wish they havr more in the area. The staff are nice. During a recent outing to the historic Downtown area of Key West, my wife and I were meandering around and happened upon Tikka Bar. I was talking to the server about the parotta bread that I loved when living in Saudi Arabia and, although not on the menu, the Chef made some for us. We both ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and I also ordered the Dal soup. Everything was wonderful, and we will definitely revisit before we leave the Keys and go home. Fabulous! I ordered food from DoorDash. It took more than an hour to arrive but they have their own drivers and not DoorDash Dashers. The taste of the matter paneer (peas and Indian cheese cubes) entree, garlic naan, and mango lassi was phenomenal! I haven't had this good Indian food in all of the restaurants I've eaten at in Maryland and Virginia. The entree was hot in temperature, matched the spice level I requested, and had a lot of ginger, which enhanced the overall flavor! We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Vindaloo with an order of garlic naan. Our food came out in about 15 minutes and it was fantastic! Key West is known for its fresh seafood and local cuisine tied to its culture. Finding an Indian restaurant was not even in our agenda, but as fate would have it, we found one (and the only one) and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The restaurant was packed on a Sunday night (mind it, we went over the long weekend). The restaurant was not even taking to-go orders let alone find a place inside to dine-in. They looked severely understaffed to handle the long weekend crowd. So, we accepted our defeat that day and went back to our hotel to plan a strategy for the next day. Monday evening, we had the opportunity to dine in, and at first, you would feel a little cramped by this place but, this restaurant won't amaze you with the décor rather will blow you away with the quality and flavor of the food. Everything that we ordered was delicious albeit the portion size was on the smaller side. There was this never-ending line of people enquiring about a table to sit and for to-go orders. Our server was polite and helpful and looked over worked. There were 2 servers doing all the work (during our time of visit and I was told that there was just one the previous day) from cleaning, taking orders listening to people complain about the long wait times and so on. I think the restaurant owner should've planned better for the long weekend considering everyone is travelling now. Also, Parking is extremely limited (given the long weekend) so if you're planning to visit this restaurant, be mindful of the parking situation. Nevertheless, let's talk about the main event, the food - we ordered: Onion Bhajia, Paneer Tikka, Chili Chicken, Tikka Masala Paneer, Garlic Naan, Mango Lassi and Tikka Masala Chicken. All entrées come with a side of rice. Everything was mind-blowingly tasty. I was looking for something to disappoint me from the menu but that never happened as we kept on devouring items one after the other. The Onion Bhajia were crispy just as we like, the Paneer Tikka was soft and was the highlight with its amazing texture, seasoning and was cooked to perfection in the tandoor, the Tikka Masalas (both Chicken and Paneer) were creamy and savory and had a good kick to it (since we went with spicy), the Garlic Naan was crisp and thin and paired great with the entrée along with Mango Lassi, which tasted fresh like it was made at that moment itself! Indian restaurants are hard to find in Key West and Tikka Bar is the crown jewel here. The food is extremely tasty and aromatic, the servers were polite and respectful, and you'd certainly leave the restaurant with a happy face and your belly full. I'd give this a solid A and would love to come back if I ever visit Key West again. read more

We were craving for some Indian food and walked into this restaurant. The lady at the restaurant told us that only the bar seats were available. We politely asked how much time it would take to get a table and she rudely replied "40 minutes". We probably should have walked out and given our money to some other establishment that knows how to respect their customers. Unfortunately, we were so hungry that we decided to stay. We ordered a prawns appetizer which was good. We also ordered butter chicken and paneer tikka masala which had excess salt. Paneer tikka masala was not cooked properly and tasted of raw tomatoes. Service at the restaurant was very slow. They charged us 15 percent gratuity and only accepted cash. We were a party of four and I would have graciously tipped them if they hadn't charge us the gratuity. Total rip-off!!! To sum it up - sub par food, bad service and rude behavior. Placed an order, waited 30 minutes and called the store. They said my food is ready and they're waiting on their only driver. I asked how much longer and they replied with 45-1hr. They wouldn't let me cancel my order even after I raised the issue that my food would've been sitting for well over an hour before it reached me.
