We were invited to Tikka Guys for an iftar. We were served dates, pakoray (kind of soggy.. i like them crispy) and cholay (lacked seasoning) for iftar. Raita came in clutch and worked as a great dip/sauce for both. For dinner, we were served chicken biryani, chicken boti, nihari, cholay and potatoes curry. Biryani and chicken boti hit the spot. This was a 150 people Ramadzan , iftar in the evening. The place was packed. Hot spicy delicious food was served . Food consisted of a well prepared fruit chat, pakoras which came with aside of mint chutney. This was followed by well cooked tandoori chicken, chicken Tikka masala, Niari and a excellent biryani. Arrived here solo for a to-go meal because I was craving some Mediterranean food on a Friday night. Decided to get the Chicken and Beef Kebab plate and was a little disappointed in the meal. The plate came with one chicken kebab, one beef kebab, rice, and some salad. I thought the salad would be something better but it was just a plain ole salad you can buy from the store... pricing for this plate was not the best about $15 before tip. I asked how much for a cup, a tiny 8 oz cup, he said $2.99, I said why didn't you tell us before, you should have a sign here that it's per cup not bottle, to make the story short, I stood my ground and ended up paying $10 for a $2.99 bottle of coke, what a joke this place is, always disappoints us, once we hosted an iftar here and the same guy charged us for the al la carte customers who were not our guests, an surprised this place is still in business. read more

Great place to satisfy your late night cravings with made to order, fresh open flame grilled spice rubbed meats. Their thoughtful grilling technique over water created a superb spice rubbed crispy skin on the chicken legs while the meat was tender, juicy and hot! While this chicken was definitely the star of the meal, the chicken tikka masala was also delicious and paired really well with the daal. The grilled platter came with rice and then we ordered some hot nan and we were in late night heaven! The Pakistan recipes each had some mild kick in the background which allowed me to enjoy the the wonderful combinations of complex spices and flavors in the food. Walked in at around 6:50pm on a Friday night. I was told that they will be doing a $14.99 buffet starting at 8PM and will also be having a karaoke night but if I wanted to order A La Carte, they would be very accommodating. The rest of our party showed up about 20 minutes later. The one star knockoff is not for the food (which was amazing) or service to me, but what I saw happen before the rest of my party arrived. There were two gentlemen who walked in right before me with a baby. They sat down and asked to look at the menu. One of them ended up using the restroom. After about 5 to 10 minutes they handed the menus back and said they weren't sure about what they wanted to eat. The owner or someone who worked here was quite rude to them telling them that restrooms are for customers only and that they will have to pay $2. I think the way it was handled was a bit rude. As far as the service I received, it was great. We ended up ordering the following: 1 chicken tikka leg (2 pcs) 1 nihari 1 seekh kabob (beef) 1 seekh kabob (chicken) 1 boti kabob (beef) 3 naans and 1 garlic naan 4 chais 1 mango lassi Everything was fresh and tasteful. I felt like it had the right amount of spice to it. My recommendation would be to get the beef seekh kabob and nihari as I enjoyed both items more than the chicken items. The garlic naan is also a must have! None of the bbq dishes were dry, a common problem at other restaurants. My dad said his mango lassi was different than any other restaurant he has had it at. Considering he doesn't like it at other places, I took as a positive sign. The people working there were very nice about getting us one naan right away since the kids in our party were very hungry. They interacted with everyone in our party and were trying to encourage the girls to sing. Very friendly to us. The wait time for the food is what is expected when preparing fresh food. The chai took a while to make, but when ordering, I was told straight up it would take a while. Transparency is very much appreciated. The only other drawback was the service charge was already included when I went to pay the bill but I didn't notice it and added an extra tip. I think they should let you know up front that the service charge has been added. Overall the food was a definite 5/5 for me. And that is a rare occurrence for Desi food that is not my mom's. I visited Tikka Guys on a Friday night with about 20 other relatives. They had a special Eid dinner buffet where they were charging $20 at the door for anyone entering. Afterwards people could participate in karaoke. Most of the participants did Indian songs from the 70's and 80's, none of which I was familiar with nor was I interested in. The buffet consisted of BBQ chicken, biryani, an Afghani rice, palak paneer (spinach curry), daal (lentil curry), chicken curry, chicken tikkah masalah, naan, and another curry dish that didn't look too appetizing. For dessert they had kheer (rice pudding dish). The BBQ chicken and naan tasted pretty good. The chicken was juicy and was seasoned nicely. I had hoped there would be more grilled meat options at the buffet as I had heard great things about Tikka Guys. The rest of the dishes tasted just ok and nothing particularly stood out. The buffet was definitely not worth the $20 price tag. The restaurant was packed beyond the capacity of what this place could safely handle. Seating was tight and cramped. 30 minutes after I arrived they announced the buffet was open. A mad dash of about 100+ people ran to the buffet, which had only 1 side open. There were multiple lines merging into 1 line. It was crazy. The restaurant was also extremely hot inside and I was sweating profusely. Overall I was extremely disappointed with the buffet, the logistics of how they handled the buffet, how packed this place was, and the lack of A/C (especially since it was over 100 degrees earlier in the day). I was not going to post a review...but the owner call me rude. He had book two parties on the same day my party was 15 and other was 60. He does buffet but instead of putting two separate buffet tables for each party one on each opposite side of the room he combined it...without notification to each head of the party..two of the items were different so he placed them on our table which looked as though it was a purchased item...people were coming from the other party to our table taking snack items which were not for them..this man had no remorse...all he said is I don't have man power, and he changed us more money since the food on our table was an assumption that it was meant for our party, since we asked for to go boxes he charged us 200 extra even though it was his mistake...even the host of the other party made comments to our guests saying we were not to eat the food cause that was for them...I mean we were basically insulted...this not the way to conduct business...food is so so delicious but the treatment has left a bad taste....i would recommend this place absolutely but not with that embarrassment...i feel horrible to post this god forgive me I don't like to talk bad... read more

A definite plus with major perks and filled with environment. I went during an off hour and enjoyed the space and music as I waited for my food. The staff were kind and friendly, and they explained to me what I didn't understand. The rice was fresh and very clean to eat. The beef was AMAZING and I loved the kabob that it was. Tender and juicy with sweetness that made me just want to eat more and more. I had the garlic naan bread on the side and it made for a great spoon to wrap and scoop up meat and food! Surprisingly, I had only mild discomfort after the meal. Not the bathroom type but, I had simply eaten too much and wished for more. If only I had more space in my stomach... simply divine food! The venue has been in business for 3yrs and has some unique highlights which work well for those whom look to host a small/medium size party. Staff had the appetizers & soft drinks out on time for guests arrival. Once the event got started, Its easy to take note that this restaurant prides themselves on fresh food. As guests ate apptiz the cooking staff was busy getting dinner cooked for a fresh & hot serving. Their kitchen is somewhat exposed so you get the pleasure of watching them prepare the meats and entrees (they run a clean kitchen by thr looks of it) Upon completion of the speeches and program, dinner was up and served buffet style. Their kebabs were a hit and their freshly made chutney (not store bought) was an excellent compliment to all dishes. Dinner was not oily and heavy as many indian or pakistani places tend to do. I've ordered from here multiple times and unfortunately the quality has been inconsistent. If you're not from the subcontinent or the general region this might pass as OK kabob, not necessarily good. It's incredibly salty w no real flavor, just the taste of salt and garlic. The portions are small and sometimes it is so salty you actually cannot eat it. Even worse, this place will cancel your order 30-45 minutes after you've ordered with no explanation. The past 3 times I've doordashed from them (after the first time I figured they would cancel but I wanted to test if that was really the case) they cancelled my order way after I initially placed it. Food is good and tastes authentic. However portions of meat were very small. About 3-5 small chunks of chicken or beef in both curries. That was very disappointing. The gulab jaman are 3 tiny pieces per serving. Typically at restaurants you will be served about 2 normal size pieces and their 3 tiny pieces may equate to 1 normal size piece. Stick with tikka and kebab items. I don't know why I ordered a rice dish when this place is called Tikka Guys. I ordered Chicken Biryani, which wasn't bad, but it has way too much rice compared to the amount of meat. I guess that's why it was on the lower price point on the menu compared to other dishes. The chicken was still flavored well but I hated having to fight through small, sharp bones. My friend did the smart thing and ordered the Lamb Sheesh Kebab. I am always hesitant about lamb dishes but this place seems to do it right. It didn't taste too gamey, and was packed with flavor. It had a little bit of a kick and good amount of garlic. It came with rice too but was a much smaller portion compared to my dish. Garlic naan here is pretty good too. It's thicker and softer than ones I had in the past. It's made fresh on the spot so you do have to wait for it but definitely worth it. This place has three different sauces if you want to add them to your meat or dish. One is mint chutney, which you normally find at Indian restaurants, but I wasn't too sure about the other two. There's a lighter green sauce which tasted like a combination of mint chutney and yogurt. Third one tasted like Italian dressing but with a sweet citrus flavor. They were all good but my favorite was the one that tasted like mint chutney with yogurt. This place looks like a full service restaurant but it isn't. You order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. Decor looks pretty old but the place is spacious. What was pretty cool about our experience at this restaurant, is that, we were the only ones eating inside at 645pm on a Friday night. The restaurant was clean, and the cashier was polite. Our order came out faster than I expected too. As we were finishing our meal, another couple came in. We ordered the lamb chops, chicken tikka, beef koonideh and garlic naan. So I agree with another Yelper when they said, there's too much rice and not enough protein. The quality of meat here is pretty flavorful and good. My beef koobideh was spicy, but not fiery, and went well with the mild chutney I spritzed on it. Salad was fitting and the dressing was yummy. Lamb chops were good and juicy, the chicken tikka my husband loved. Garlic naan was super good, I can eat lots of that too! Can't really speak on the service, since the cashier just brought out our order and sauces, but it's get your own drinks, and utensils. She was nice though, and so was another male worker here. Tasteful, delightful, jam packed with flavors! Came here for an after graduation dinner with a party of over 20 people and they were very accommodating. Definitely one of those fusion Indian / Mediterranean flavors. Got to try some of the kabobs and koubedehs. Would definitely stick to that side of the menu. I went with the chicken tikka masala and thought it was interesting, since the masala flavor leaned more on the tomatoey side of the palette. My meal procured by an Events Planning Coordinator was a (taj) mahajestic experience. I am no stranger to cuisine from India (or that hemisphere) and made an oath to be a stranger no more to Tikka Guys. What the beef and chicken koobideh lacked in girth over compensated with superb length, flavor, and an exquisite (but not domineering) blend of spices. The garlic naan tasted like it was baked by Vishnu herself. A perfect composition of generous garlic and leavened yeast that gives you the satisfaction of breaking it apart effortlessly yet not overly chewy. As you bathe the naan in the tikka masala and take a bite...you just might experience the meaning of life. Speaking of the tikka. Glorious. Not too spicy (I plan on kicking it up a notch next time), nor runny, nor diarrhea inducing. The chicken tasted as if the embryo was tikka and immediately pulverized upon hatching.
