    Chicken Tikka Masala
    Dan P.

Honestly, I came here because I was craving Chicken tikka masala, and it's not their speciality here. Maybe I should try their Mediterranean food, but their tikka masala lacks that curry flavor. I tried my best to like the food but I just can't. There are way better chicken tikka masala out there. I only ate a little bit of it and couldn't take anymore bites. Especially when there isn't enough sauce. On top of that, the server never came and asked how my food was. Instead the workers spent most of their time talking to a very chatty customer that wouldn't stop talking. I dont think im gonna get my food to go because they literally don't know how to make a traditional chicken tikka masala. I wouldn't trust their biryanis as well. I hope they do something right because I paid almost $30 for something I did not enjoy at all. And I really hope they make actual chicken tikka masala, because this wasn't it

We found this hole in the wall place with good vibe. The biryani was delicious and the seasoning was perfect. Their Lamb Karai tastes very good but needs a little more onion and tomato to get more sauce with meat. I love their fresh baked bread and Karak tea. Overall it's a small clean and authentic dishes. Great Service and would love to go back and try more dishes ...! Their lamb and beef is Halal. Didn't ask about other items (Chicken)

Brand new restaurant! Delicious Indian and Arabic fusion, family owned and operated - very nice people! The kabob was excellent and the bone-in chicken biryani signature dish is a must try, especially with the sauces they recommend. Also, the fries were thick and great. Excellent salads and hummus as well. 10/10 highly recommend!

Brand new place - still getting decor and ambience down but the food is excellent. Love the Indian and Arab combo concept. We had the chicken biryani, karahi paneer, chicken kabob plate, fries, hummus, baba ghanoush. All were delicious but stand outs were karahi paneer and all the side. We will be back!

    Garlic Naan

Writing this review since they're fairly new and will hopefully make some adjustments. We ordered the chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, daal makhani, and garlic naan. First time having biryani so I can't compare... it was a decent chicken and rice dish. Wasn't expecting the bones so be careful when eating. Daal makhani was more watery than I've had at other places. The two dishes that unfortunately made me not want to come back was the tikka masala that was super salty and the garlic naan which was the smallest naan I've ever had at an Indian restaurant. It looks exactly like Trader Joe's packaged naan which tastes good but not authentic and there were some tough dry spots like it was microwaved too long. If I see photos or reviews of a change in these items I might consider giving them another try. Also want to mention it's not really a place for a sit down meal. More like a casual deli vibe. Spent $80 for 2 people incl tip. Unfortunately not worth that price point.

It's only about 7 minutes from the parks, making it the perfect lunch or dinner spot if you're craving something flavorful that won't leave you feeling heavy. Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The spinach pastry was hands down my favorite, perfectly flaky with a delicious savory filling. The potato pastry was a close second and just as satisfying. If you visit, don't skip the pastries! We also tried the steak and chicken kebab combo plate, and both were cooked perfectly. The chicken was especially tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully. You can actually watch the meat being cooked fresh in the back, which made the whole experience feel even more authentic. I ordered the veggie plate with falafel, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, hummus, and tahini sauce, and every single item was delicious. The falafel really stood out. It had a perfectly seasoned, crispy exterior with a soft, flavorful center. Dipping it into the baba ganoush, hummus, and tahini made every bite even better. One of my favorite things was that the meal was incredibly satisfying without feeling greasy or overly heavy. It was fresh, filling, and packed with flavor, but I still felt great afterward. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, and the service was impressively fast. They also have a great selection of Mediterranean spices if you want to bring some of those incredible flavors home. Huge compliments to the chef and the entire team. Between the fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent service, Zait Zataar has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite Mediterranean restaurants. I'll absolutely be coming back!

But the "Catch Feelings" Chicken Wrap at Kareem's? It genuinely needs a emotional warning label. I ordered it thinking I was just grabbing a quick bite on the go. Big mistake. Huge. Now I'm driving down Brookhurst having a full-blown existential crisis because a wrap has better structural integrity and emotional depth than most people I've dated. First off, whoever is back there assembling these wraps isn't just making food; they are practicing architectural geometry. Most spots toss your veggies in like they're launching confetti at a parade, leaving you with one bite of pure lettuce and another of pure existential dread. Not Kareem's. Every single bite is a masterclass in balance: vibrant, bright, colorful veggies that actually crunch, perfectly seasoned and juicy protein, and a sauce so ridiculously good I'm convinced it's strictly classified under international law. It's colorful, it's mouth-watering, and yes, I absolutely caught feelings. I am now in a committed relationship with a pita-wrapped masterpiece. And can we talk about the hummus? Smooth as a smooth-talking salesperson, richer than a crypto influencer, and paired with proteins that are cooked with actual respect. If you are anywhere near 1208 S Brookhurst St, do yourself a favor and stop by. Just be prepared: you will leave addicted, you will crave it at 2 AM on a Tuesday, and you will never look at a standard wrap the same way again. 10/10, no notes, sending Kareem's my therapist bills.

By the time my friend and I wanted to order, they seemed like they ran out of pita, so they had to make fresh pita. Luckily it wasn't too long! I asked for everything on it and you can technically add more to it aside from "the everything" they mentioned. We ate inside, which the right side of the joint is where you order and you can dine inside on the left side of the place. They actually have quite a nice dining area! The seating is also very nice and cozy. Sitting down with our pita bread, it was pretty nice! Everything tasted so fresh and the pita was so soft (especially cause it just came out). Falafel was nice and crispy. It was really good. Although, I wish all the hummus was all on the bottom and which it was spread out more nicely. Maybe i'll get more next time. I was extremely full by the time I ate 3/4 of it. I didn't want to save it cause I was afraid the pita might get soggy, so I forced myself to finish it and became extremeelyyyy full haha. Still very delicious!
