Food was ok, the biryani, karahi and tikka were all leg pieces but service seriously needs more work, we got one each of the item on the 'discounted menu', we wanted a drink so asked for it and the owner said to take it from the refrigerator and he ll bill us for it later, my niece went to get it and saw only half empty/full bottles of coke, then her father helped her find one unopened bottle of coke, which we shared at our table, after dinner I went to pay for the drink, the owner wanted me to pay per cup though we had picked the whole bottle, which we shared with another table too. I asked how much for a cup, a tiny 8 oz cup, he said $2.99, I said why didn't you tell us before, you should have a sign here that it's per cup not bottle, to make the story short, I stood my ground and ended up paying $10 for a $2.99 bottle of coke, what a joke this place is, always disappoints us, once we hosted an iftar here and the same guy charged us for the al la carte customers who were not our guests, an surprised this place is still in business.

Heading home from Knotts and needed real food and we found it. They were extremely friendly and the food was delicious. Note: this region has a little more of a kick and it was yummy. We got chicken biryani that had great flavor, tikka masala that was wonderful, and beef kobideh and chicken seikh all so flavorful. I also highly recommend the garlic naan. If you are in the area and need a break from all the park food or need some great regional food, try this place.

This is such a great place, the owner is so sweet and generous! Great food, very fresh and flavorful. They also have a great venue for parties, check them out!

Walked in at around 6:50pm on a Friday night. I was told that they will be doing a $14.99 buffet starting at 8PM and will also be having a karaoke night but if I wanted to order A La Carte, they would be very accommodating. The rest of our party showed up about 20 minutes later. The one star knockoff is not for the food (which was amazing) or service to me, but what I saw happen before the rest of my party arrived. There were two gentlemen who walked in right before me with a baby. They sat down and asked to look at the menu. One of them ended up using the restroom. After about 5 to 10 minutes they handed the menus back and said they weren't sure about what they wanted to eat. The owner or someone who worked here was quite rude to them telling them that restrooms are for customers only and that they will have to pay $2. I think the way it was handled was a bit rude. As far as the service I received, it was great. We ended up ordering the following: 1 chicken tikka leg (2 pcs) 1 nihari 1 seekh kabob (beef) 1 seekh kabob (chicken) 1 boti kabob (beef) 3 naans and 1 garlic naan 4 chais 1 mango lassi Everything was fresh and tasteful. I felt like it had the right amount of spice to it. My recommendation would be to get the beef seekh kabob and nihari as I enjoyed both items more than the chicken items. The garlic naan is also a must have! None of the bbq dishes were dry, a common problem at other restaurants. My dad said his mango lassi was different than any other restaurant he has had it at. Considering he doesn't like it at other places, I took as a positive sign. The people working there were very nice about getting us one naan right away since the kids in our party were very hungry. They interacted with everyone in our party and were trying to encourage the girls to sing. Very friendly to us. The wait time for the food is what is expected when preparing fresh food. The chai took a while to make, but when ordering, I was told straight up it would take a while. Transparency is very much appreciated. The only other drawback was the service charge was already included when I went to pay the bill but I didn't notice it and added an extra tip. I think they should let you know up front that the service charge has been added. Overall the food was a definite 5/5 for me. And that is a rare occurrence for Desi food that is not my mom's. We will be coming back. I hope they keep the food quality the same.

I visited Tikka Guys on a Friday night with about 20 other relatives. They had a special Eid dinner buffet where they were charging $20 at the door for anyone entering. Afterwards people could participate in karaoke. Most of the participants did Indian songs from the 70's and 80's, none of which I was familiar with nor was I interested in. The buffet consisted of BBQ chicken, biryani, an Afghani rice, palak paneer (spinach curry), daal (lentil curry), chicken curry, chicken tikkah masalah, naan, and another curry dish that didn't look too appetizing. For dessert they had kheer (rice pudding dish). The BBQ chicken and naan tasted pretty good. The chicken was juicy and was seasoned nicely. I had hoped there would be more grilled meat options at the buffet as I had heard great things about Tikka Guys. The rest of the dishes tasted just ok and nothing particularly stood out. The buffet was definitely not worth the $20 price tag. The restaurant was packed beyond the capacity of what this place could safely handle. Seating was tight and cramped. 30 minutes after I arrived they announced the buffet was open. A mad dash of about 100+ people ran to the buffet, which had only 1 side open. There were multiple lines merging into 1 line. It was crazy. The restaurant was also extremely hot inside and I was sweating profusely. Overall I was extremely disappointed with the buffet, the logistics of how they handled the buffet, how packed this place was, and the lack of A/C (especially since it was over 100 degrees earlier in the day). I definitely would not be coming back.

Premium combo = entree + $10 Entree + premium drink + masala fries I tried the bowl with mild biryani, malai chicken, green (mild) sauce, and guava mango lassi. The bowl already comes with the raita sauce (a yogurt sauce), so I got the green sauce as my choice of sauce after asking the staff for recommendations. The protein portion was super generous and very well-seasoned with their spice. The green sauce was my favorite and everything in the bowl mixed well together. The whole bowl was delicious and it didn't feel heavy, wasn't greasy. The Kashmiri Chai and the guava mango lassi are the most popular drinks, so I decided to try the guava mango lassi. The flavors blended so well. One wasn't more overpowering than the other, and the sweetness level was perfect for me, also, not too much ice. Masala fries So crispy and well-seasoned!! Could be a little less salty. Gulab jamun cheesecake Also asked for recommendations for their cheesecakes and decided to go with this one. It has the fried donut ball in the middle with syrup. It didn't taste too sweet to me, but I also have higher tolerance for sweets. The center has so much of the cheesecake cheese and it was super soft and fluffy. So delicious! The samosas were also great! Crispy and not too oily. I also love that they use compostable takeout containers, including the lid! The interior looks nice and there are a few seats available. There's outdoor shaded tables and seats too. The only downside is that I wish the outdoor seats were a bit cleaner. There is a free parking garage, just make sure to park in the retail spaces. There was enough parking. The staff members are so helpful and very friendly. Can order with a staff member or using their kiosk. HIGHLY recommend!! Would definitely go back!

From the two, the gully smash was our favorite--it's like a classic smash burger but the addition of pastrami enhanced it! The Bhangra smash was definitely different than any burger I've had before but you can definitely tell the south Asian influences in this one. The burgers were both enjoyable, however, they were on the oily side and felt a bit heavy. I'd say prices here were also pretty steep for what you're getting. I'd say that this is a great option for halal burgers, but I think if you're not restricted to eating halal meat, there are burger options that I like more. Their second location in LA is in Hawaiian Gardens. Gorgeous interior, perfect place for a date or gathering. They have large spaces and private areas inside. The food was delicious and so are their mocktails!! Wowww I was very impressed with the double smoked apple cocktail and highly recommend trying it. All their dishes are made with so much detail. And, many of the dishes have a very visual interactive moment like their table side bhel puri, puri, or their chicken biriyani and smoked beef. The larger, open space was a huge plus compared to the more compact Fullerton location, and the new items like chapli kebabs and different karahi variations were refreshing. This easily could have become our favorite location. Unfortunately, since Shor rebranded as Khan Saab, the overall experience seems to have gone downhill. The staff themselves are always nice, genuine, and willing to help, but once the restaurant gets even a little busy, they seem overwhelmed and clearly understaffed. Compared to the original Fullerton location, especially when more of the familiar OG staff were there, the service does not feel as polished or consistent. Our last visit was particularly disappointing. We ordered chicken karahi, chicken tikka masala, biryani, and bhel puri. The bhel puri was extremely dry with very little sauce and tasted poorly balanced. Nearly everything else, including the biryani, karahi, and tikka masala, was overly salty. The chicken karahi was the biggest disappointment. It is usually one of my go-to dishes at Khan Saab, but this time it barely tasted like karahi and was more like a generic curry. I understand this location does not offer boneless karahi, which is completely fine, but the flavor and quality should still be consistent. This location has so much potential because of the space and the Khan Saab name, but the consistency in both food and service just isn't there right now. I'll probably avoid this location for a while and hope ownership and Chef Ali Mookhi take notice and bring the standards back up.
